New China Restaurant

April 2023: 5: I would recommend this Chinese restaurant location. I stopped by this restaurant location with my family to get an evening meal. It was suggested to me by another person at the nearby hospital that this location had decently priced food for the money, cash only. I walked down to this location with my family members to get the food. We were greeted upon entry into the restaurant which was small and just off to the side of the road in a little housing and business strip area. There were a few homeless people in the area along the way. The restaurant appeared to be clean and orderly upon our arrival inside to place our order. We waited about 15 minutes for five entrees to be prepared. It was of interest that all of the items came out hot and properly packaged so that we could get back to the vehicle without spilling any of the sauces in the packaging. I sampled each of the entrees we received and it was authentic along with the white rice packages that we received with the order. You would have to double park in the street in order to visit this location to pick up your food or to place an order.

I like their sesame chicken shrimp fried rice plate as well as the spareribs and rib tips with beef fried rice! It's been a while since I been there they were cash only as far back as I can remember!

Theyre honestly my favorite chinese restaurant takeout in boston!! Chicken with garlic sauce is my go to. Cash only btw and very fast!

Pretty Solid Takeout my Favorite is The Chicken and Broccoli with White Rice a great value and super tasty at only $7. A shame about the eggrolls as the filling is the best in boston but they use it so sparingly so you are overwhelmed bu the thick assed skins and small to boot

It's small two or three tables very clean at least everytime I'm there which is once or twice a week. Since the pandemic they are no longer open on Mondays, cash only but have a ATM machine inside 3 fee. Now I love that they do Chinese / Mandarin food but also has American dishes such as fries, chicken & plantains. Fried fish half chicken etc. I love everything from here. Pretty good portions excellent food. Never had any issues in the 10 years I've order. They are very friendly fast service for walk ins or if I call ahead, usual wait time is 10-15 minutes that's ordering for 3 people. Highly recommend this place

The pepper steak at this place is delicious! It is a bit sad that the reviews don't reflect how good the food is. I have eaten both the pepper steak and the chicken fried rice and both of them were sooooo good.The last time I came in, I ordered the pepper steak during lunch hour and walked away in less than 10 minutes with a styrofoam container full of rice and peppers and onions for $6.50. Did I have enough food for lunch? Yes. Did I have enough food for a second serving? Why, yes I did. I wish this place as closer to work because if I was in a fix I would swing by here for the pepper steak lunch special. Just know that the place is tiny, there are 2 booths and that's it. I recommend you order this, pick it up, and take it to eat somewhere else and in case you didn't already know, they are cash only. Overall savory, cheap, substantial American Chinese food.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL SERVICE!!! Do not order from here they are rude and ignorant. Took our money and never delivered our food. Awful people and when we called pretended not to know what was going on.

do not eat here if you look in the ally that is where they store the food and it's uncovered for the rats to nibble on before they sell it to you!!i wish i could post the pics for proof but it's on facebook that's for sure *****do not eat here****

Food is ok. Very poor customer service.Failed to communicate cash only on the phone, we expressed that we could only pay by card but the employee that was on duty hung up the phone before she could hear. Fast forward to a delivery guy arriving at our house, and discovering that we only had card. He left...with our food. We called the establishment only for the employee on duty, to argue with us briefly only to hang up on us again. We ended up getting JP Kitchen and it was better.

The food is ok but the service sucks! The lady at the cash register is so rude. I ordered a small beef lo mein that is $7.45 somehow she charged me $10 when I asked how did the price jumped so much she gave me an attitude. I told her to give me my money back or give me a soda with it. She end up throwing .75 cents at me. I told her to just give me my money back and she did with a disgusting attitude. I'm so glad I didn't get my food though because my friend got his and I tasted it. The lo mein was so bland and hardly and beef was in it. I will never go to this place again nor do I recommend it. Just looking at that last ride face will ruin your appetite. The place is dirty there are two tables there that's never been cleaned. And a whole lot of pan handlers outside.
