I was in the area and wanted a quick bite to eat. Saw a lot of locals popping into this shop, so I went in myself to check it out. There's lots of desserts, but the empanada caught my eye. It was PHENOMENAL. Moist and flavorful inside, with a tantalizing and crunchy shell. The picante they offer with it gives a perfectly complementary kick. Will definitely be going back for more!

After trying their superdelicious chicken and beef empanadas for breakfast I ordered 25 for a brunch. The empanadas were the talk of the party and the hot sauce that accompanies them was praised multiple times. Lupita Bakery placed the empanadas on a rectangular tray covered w aluminum foil and the empanadas were hot when we arrived at our party. Guests were from different Latinamerican countries and the conversation went to the ways empanadas are prepared in varios countries. What was unanimous was that these empanadas are really good as are the sauces that accompany them. I will be back!

Before anything else is said, I want to say that I like the pastries a lot. They are a welcome change from the usual stuff I would usually get from Dunkin Donuts. They taste unique to me since it's not something I usually eat and both me and my wife really like it. If it went by the pastries and baked goods alone, I would give this place five stars. This is probably the 6th or 7th time I've come here and finally decided to write a little review. The reason it gets only two stars is that for some reason, I feel like the cashier has some issue with me? She was kind of cold to me while she was super pleasant with others all the time. I don't want to say it was because they were Spanish and I wasn't, but its hard to feel anything else when it happens almost at each visit. Also, this isn't to say that this was every cashier, one of them is quite nice but two of the three aren't. The biggest thing with me is the fact that this is the second time out of seven visits that I was overcharged. I'm not a confrontational person so I chalked up the first time as a mistake and let it go but the second time was clearly intentional. I won't even bother arguing over 1.50 but I just won't come in again. I liked the baked goods, and could see myself coming in here often just for that, but they've lost my business by doing what they do.

We usually stop in this neighborhood to have a Cambodian food. We passed this bakery as we were walking back to our car and decided to stop in and check it out. The cookies and pastries looked delicious. We had a guava turnover which was great. Wish we could've tried some of the other things that were there. Some of the other reviewer's mentioned that the staff there was not very friendly. I got more of a neutral vibe but I agree that they did not seem exuberantly friendly or outgoing. Could they be introverts? Maybe they're having a bad day? Bad week? Difficult life? I totally get it however as the other reviewer's have noted doesn't really make you want to come back. We're definitely going to give it another try because the pastry was so good. It's definitely worth checking out if you are in the area and like Latin pastries.

I only gave them 3 stars because the pastries are delicious but the ladies at the front desk are rude for no reason. I asked if they had cheesecake and they both looked at me and didn't answer. When the lady was giving me my cheesecake she got very confrontational and gave attitude for no reason. Such a shame because the pastries and chicken wings are good but horrible customer service.

Nice and quick service where people treat you with respect (for once in Boston!)There isn't much seating in the bakery, which I think is good because it means they have to spend less on up keep and charge less on the food. The baked bread products aren't that special or buttery, but the cake desserts (eh tiramisu) and chicken or beef empanadas are heavenly. For the price they ask for ($3.5 for tiramisu slice, $2.50 per empanada, which comes with delicious sauces), it is very reasonable. I think this is the only place worth visiting to grab a snack, or several snacks to equate a meal, if you are near Revere Beach station.

Hello, I am a frequent customer but there have been two occasions in which I have ordered dough for fritters and I am missing up to two pounds in the order. I recommend carrying a weight. I called to make the complaint and the answer is that there is no manager and the owner almost never comes. Be careful, they stole $22 from us in less than a minute.

Ladies in the front are rude, the empanadas were good but weren't hot, seemed like they'd been sitting there a while. Pretty average mom & pop bakery.
