"Alas, the search for the best tacos continues... There were some redeeming qualities, but the pork belly tacos weren't one of them. For a drink I ordered a classic margarita. This thing was strong! Here I am writing an hour later and I am still feeling the effects. It was a little sweet for my tasty, but a squeeze of the lime was all it took to balance that out. Nothing mind blowing, but for a classic marg, it fit the bill quite well!Where it comes to the Chicharrón (pork belly) taco plate, this had the makings of something great, but fell flat. The pork belly was a little too crisp (i.e. dry), though the flavors were there. A different manner of cooking is all it would take to make these incredible! Pork belly aside, the ingredients were well balanced, and there was a nice amount of freshness in the tacos. As for the guacamole, this more resembled a sauce than a mouthwatering and chunky guacamole. The taco plate comes with cilantro rice and beans. Cilantro rice was good! It was seasoned and cooked very well. The beans were... well, beans! Take it from me, unless you really love rice and beans, just get three tacos instead. For the Pupusas, these were remarkably unimpressive and uninspired. These were two griddled tortillas filled with a ground pork that other than a bit of salt had not much oomph or dimensionality. The sauce was a miss. It felt more like a pasta sauce, albeit a nice one, that was heated. The pickled cabbage was a nice touch to add some acidity, but not enough to lift this dish out of its pit of despair. The Churros were the winning dish that night. These were cooked to perfection with a light crisp exterior and a soft airy interior. The cinnamon sugar and caramel gave a lovely sweetness. Though, it seems most of the caramel was there to make the plate look pretty.Where it comes to the location, it was cool, colorful, modern, and bumping! Overall, I'd say this had more a lounge-with-food vibe than a restaurant. There is a large horseshoe bar in the center and tables around it. Most tables are for 2 people, though two tables were 4-person, and two could seat 8. Though at tables, space is at a premium because of how small they are. Music plays rather loudly, though I could swear it got quieter at 8:30 than it was at 6:00!"
"Stopped by here twice while we were staying in the Liberty Hotel for dinner and breakfast. I love the theme through the restaurant and entire hotel. The fact they incorporated the jail theme was amazing. Starting with breakfast the food was good. Nothing was stand out, but everything was rather tasty. I did appreciate that the requests for items on the side were made. I know sometimes that can be annoying. Only downside was with other patrons. There was a group next to us that were so loud with a lot of children playing and throwing toys. It definitely tainted the experience however I know that doesn't have anything to do with the restaurant. Now we dinner it was amazing. The food did take a while to come out, but I think it was worth the wait. The starter bread hit the spot! Absolutely delicious along with the oysters. The meals are rather large, I think you could almost share. We had a table of four and if we could go back I would share three meals because we had a lot left over. Our waiter I believe his name was Ben was great. On top of our food orders and constantly refilling out drink. I would recommend if you are in the area or staying at the hotel. Can probably skip breakfast though. Overall 4/5 stars!"

The caprese panini was so hot and tasty, the balsamic vinegar made the sandwich! We also ordered a passion fruit mojito (not pictured) and we were super happy with all of our offerings!"
"Great dining experience. Went here with a bigger party (i think 20ish people) and we were all accomodated for in terms of both food and service. We got appetizers for the table so I'm not too sure what each were. One was like a sushi roll, one was bruschetta, and a caesar salad. My meal was the cacio e pepe with shrimp. It was delicious and so thoughtfully prepared. YUM. Desserts we got the lava cake and the tiramisu. Both were also really delicious and well prepared. Worth the price forsure!"
"This was a cute cocktail bar to stop at and spend an hour or two. The drinks are tasty and so cute. The aesthetic is nice and it's a classy place to be! Would definitely recommend as a place to grab drinks with friends."
"Great lounge bar at The W. Live DJ on Thurs / Sat. Great vibe. Lots of interesting people. Good drinks and desserts. I'll return."
"Surprise find in a hotel bar/restaurant. First - the craft cocktails were expertly executed - and i'm a tough critic on that front. These guys nailed each one. You can't go wrong on that front. I was completely surprised by how good the lobster and shrimp salad - and big enough to share. The prices here are in line with a high end hotel - but value wise, it was a winner."
"SOJUba is a nice place to go for a chill night out with friends! It's got a nice ambience here, that many people have noted, & fun drinks, LOTS of soju. If you're looking for some delicious Korean food in Boston, this is not the place to go. It's very much so just Korean bar food, mid at best & oftentimes, the food is not served to you hot, usually warm-ish cold. Do not have high expectations if you order any food from here. To be honest, just stick to the soju and you'll have a blast. Definitely recommend this place for big parties or even just a small group that's not looking to go out to the club. It's a lot more chill and a comfortable setting to have some drinks. They close pretty late, 2AM most days except Monday and Tuesday, which they close at 1AM."
"My sister and I made last-minute reservations on a Mother's Day. Fortunately they were able to squeeze us in at 5:30. We were met with a friendly hostess who seated us right away. Parking can be difficult since the streets are pretty narrow. My mom and I Ubered in anticipation for that. For appetizers we shared the rucola and the lobster Arancini balls. I could not get over the flavor from the sauce beneath Arancini balls. Anything I could, I dipped in the sauce. Salad it was very fresh and offered a good balance to the fried appetizer and pasta dishes we ordered later on. Our entrées consisted of the frutti demari, chicken broccoli Alfredo, and a haddock dish. My sister was indecisive about her order so she got it made with olive oil and also a side of the Alfredo. The Alfredo with the better choice of the two since we ended up mixing them together. I tried to go for the lighter version of the frutti demare by getting it with white wine sauce instead of the red sauce. It would have been better the get it was the red sauce since it was very simply seasoned even with all the seafood. My moms haddock order got mixed up by our waiter who profusely apologized after my mom brought it to his attention. He offered to place the correct order instead but we were too hungry to wait. She was still happy with the dish but was looking forward to all the sides that were offered with the one she initially asked for. We shared the chocolate lava cake as a dessert since we had brought in a cake for my mom as well. My mom also had a cappuccino which was beautifully served with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of the milk foam. The chocolate lava cake was exactly what we expected with the cold vanilla ice cream on top. Overall, wonderful experience meet with gracious staff. We couldn't have been more satisfied with our time and can't wait to come again. Highly recommend!"
"If I we're flat broke, I'd a rob a bank for their Mac N CHEESE. It'd be worth several years of imprisonment. They advertise that they serve small bites but the portions are sizable. I also ordered the chicken wings which were tasty, but I was blown away with the Mac and cheese. It was gooey and served in a skillet.Collette is intimate with a red aura. A perfect date spot! I went on a Saturday night and there only 3 other groups there. But that can be the case for a lot of Boston restaurants during the end of summer. My bartender was friendly, warm and personable. The host was a bit cold and which almost led me to writing a four star review, but their playlist made up for it because it mostly top 40, hip hop and Afrobeats which is my VIBEEE."
"This is a new tapas restaurant that opened in the old Jeveli's location. The restaurant's decore is modern, with beautiful art and flowers on the wall. They did a great job with the renovations. My wife and I ordered several tapas, a dish from the 'memory lane' (pasta) and a dessert. And some drinks. I'll start with the issues. The first thing I noticed is that the menu doesn't include any prices - which is pretty off-putting since we don't know what the portion-sizes look like or how to budget for it. If you're opening in a working class neighborhood like East Boston, it feels tone deaf. There are fancier restaurants nearby (like MIDA) that don't do this. We asked the waitress what the prices were and she was happy to give us a ballpark estimate - which eases our nerves. I got the feeling she was asked this question a *lot*. All our cocktails were $18, by the way. The food was much cheaper. As well, I felt the ceviche was lacking acid and salt. Definitely one of the weaker ceviches I've had in recent memory. And the chicken vodka was just okay - boxed pasta comfort food. There's definitely easy ways to elevate the dishes at low cost. For the good, we thought the tortilla with the smoked chile and gambas were excellent. The calamari was good - lightly breaded and the fried banana peppers were lovely. I really enjoyed my cocktails. Despite the high prices, they were certainly meeting the higher expectations. It's worth the cost. Branded ice, thoughtful garnish, well balanced and unique. As well, we had *excellent* service. Everyone we interacted with was warm, inviting and kind. Food and drinks came out at an ideal pace. Bravo! For a more "lounge"-type bar, I was also delighted with the music choice (mostly disco-house and chill drum n bass) - and it was at a reasonable volume where I can still enjoy conversations. Overall, Rose is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood and I'm looking forward to trying the rest of their specialty cocktails. I think if they tighten up some of the dishes, they'll be a decades-long success."
"It had been a long while since I went to Noir, and I forgot how small it is on the inside. There are 6-8 tables inside with a few seats at the bar, and it's definitely a cozy spot. They have a pretty extensive menu for bar food, and the food comes out super quickly. I ordered a beet salad and a glass of wine, and both were out within 5-7 minutes. Service was also very prompt and friendly."

I had a great time at this place. I celebrated my birthday here. I went for brunch and everyone said their food was great. My steak plate was delicious. The drinks were great and so was the vibe and decor. The music w videos on the big screen was nice. It was slow at 12 but I wonder if it's more poppin in the evenings. It is a hidden gem.

My first time in Boston and finding restaurants that would give us a unique feel of Boston, this didn't disappoint! By far, one of the best dining experiences I had for a long time. The food was amazing, especially the strawberry individual cheese plate, our pasta bolognese was delicious and our cocktails were perfect! The place wasn't busy, since it was a Thursday and early. The only suggestion I highly recommend is to play background music. It was so quiet and most of the guests were couples, it would have made the place even better. I would come back and hopefully be able to go into the Alibi Bar, which was closed for a private event.

Their drinks are good, atmosphere is lovely. Not going to lie, it looks a little dingy on the outside, but as soon as you go in the atmosphere is pretty cozy feeling. I personally think the customer service is a little meh, but it's more like it's neither good nor bad - basically it doesn't stand out haha But, their tiramisu is GOOD. So if you are going there, definitely check that off of the dessert menu. I've had it twice already and urgh, already want to go back for a 3rd.

The Scarlet Vetter says....I was in Boston for business and decided to stay in an eclectic boutique hotel in the financial district. After a long day, I did not want to traverse the city in search of a good meal and a refreshing libation. I found a little nook restaurant in the hotel itself. The seating was quite nice. I sat myself at the bar near the front part of the restaurant by the street. The doors were open and it was a beautiful day. I was served a gorgeous cosmopolitan with just the right amount of vodka. I ordered the grilled octopus and the cacio d pepe pasta dish. Fresh bread arrived with a combination creamy butter pesto spread. Yum. The Octopus was beautifully presented and was grilled to perfection. The pasta dish was luscious and creamy with a great peppery flavor. I loved the vibe of the place. The bartenders were pleasant, and they sure make a fantastic cocktail. I will come here again!

Awesome drink selection and a really cool vibe. Bartenders and staff are super friendly and helpful. My recommendation is the lemon mint drop drink - I may be getting the name slightly off and there are no online menus for me to check myself but it was good enough for us to order two nights in a row!

Came here with a friend about an hour ago for restaurant week (Dine Out Boston) and i'm so glad we gave this place a try! Tried their SALTED CARAMEL LOBSTER ROLL today and it was absolutely amazing! At first i was skeptical of this salted caramel/lobster combination and thought that it sounded a bit weird but man was i wrong. The salted caramel sauce on the lobster brings out a new dimension to your regular simple buttered lobster roll. The sauce was buttery, rich, salty, warm, a tad smoky, slightly sweet, and had an addictive zing (i now call it their salted caramel crack sauce). This is easily one of the best lobster rolls that i've ever had in Boston and will give the lobster rolls at Neptune Oysters a run for its money. I hope you give their salted caramel lobster roll a try. Sooooo good! If you don't like it, come find me!Freebies: They will offer you a free $13 dollar dessert if you take a picture of yourself in front of their neon sign post across the bar and post it to your social media. Note: The restaurant is situated inside the Omni Seaport Boston Hotel. You need to take the hotel elevator up to the 5th floor to get into the restaurant. A little hidden jewel with a trendy decor. The service here was also amazing and everyone (especially our waiter Francisco) were all very welcoming, attentive, hospitable, and did not display an ounce of ego. Great vibes!

Uber eats order while traveling for business. On my view, getting a 5* based on Uber eats alone is challenging delivery food is usually not as good as in person dining.Crunchy corn was the star of the show. A great crunch with a sweet and salty flavor. I want try to figure out how to replicate at home. The garlic noodles were great too, simple and tastyBulgogi was good as well.
Visit Restaurant Page"One of our favorite restaurants in Boston!! My partner and I have been coming here 1-2x/week for about a year now, and the food is always delicious and most importantly consistent, and the staff is now family. Cozy restaurant in FiDi, with options to sit in the lounge (at a couch), at a table, or at the bar (actually 2 bars). All of the food is solid; but our favorite things on the menu are the clam chowder soup (best in Boston), buffalo chicken (and blue cheese) pizza, creamy tomato soup, classic wedge salad (blue cheese, red onion, tomato), chicken parmesan, and the bolognese pasta. All are a 10/10.The staff, Brandi, Kaci, and Adam, are all very nice and really accommodating. The owner David makes this place one-of-a-kind. They all always make us feel like we're welcomed, and right at home. This truly is a hidden gem of Boston."
"We stopped in for Cappuccinos to go before apartment hunting. The spot is super cute and the breakfast bar looked great. Services was spot on and the coffee, pretty darn good."
"I spent a delightful night at Mystique Boston, where the captivating ambiance and exceptional cuisine left a lasting impression. My evening began with the exquisite wagyu beef gyoza--each bite tender and flavorful, setting the stage for what was to come. The main course, king salmon, was perfectly executed, boasting a delicate balance of flavors that danced on the palate. Paired with my favorite lychee martini, the meal elevated to a sublime experience. The combination of outstanding food, expertly crafted drinks, and a charming atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening. I found myself indulging more than usual, a testament to the irresistible offerings at Mystique. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a refined dining experience in Boston. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to explore more of their tantalizing menu."
"Great vibes! The chicken with brussels sprouts appetizer and five spicy wings were fantastic! There were enough for a light dinner. The mango tango drink is fruity and fun!"
"An superb quasi-speakeasy with truly excellent cocktails and food, perfectly curated music , beautiful environment , and extremely friendly and attentive service . Right in the heart of central square, but easy to miss bc if its purposefully modest entrance , this is a must- hit spot. Recommended to me and cannot recommend highly enough ."
"Really enjoyed my crostini and risotto. A nice tucked away neighborhood spot for Al fresco dining, although the occasional loud car will still pass by. Friendly service. Able to walk in for Sunday dinner without reservation."
"This place has great bar food and quick drinks! The bartenders were fast and the food was great. It's a great spot for a small bite to eat and some drinks with friends. It was fairly close to our hotel and I élèverez this spot from the last time I was here. Great spot!"
"It is a fun prison themed bar speakeasy with outside space. The bar is hidden a little so makes it even more exclusive. The food was decent. The sliders were good but the steak and chicken on a stick was dry. The hot dogs had ketchup and mustard on them?! Come on.. it should only be mustard. We had standard bar fare so wasn't blown away. I would come back for a drink."
"The vibes at Rooftop at Revere are amazing! It's completely outdoors, plenty of tables and a bar area. The day my boyfriend and I went, it was a bit gloomy, but we still had great views of the city. We ordered two lobster rolls and the tuna tartare. The food was delicious! It's slightly overpriced, but since it's in a hotel + has good views, I expected the price to be a bit above average. It was a bit understaffed but the servers worked so hard and really hustled haha. I recommend rooftop revere and will be back! Overall rating: 8/10"
"We went for lunch and will definitely go back. Everything was delicious it looked like small plates but it was filling and the pistachio martini was the best I've ever had."
"5 Stars for ambiance that can't be beat and fantastic staff.I was looking for a vibey cocktail spot after grabbing drinks at another local spot and Yelp didn't let me down! When you enter this restaurant you will immediately be met with low lighting and a gorgeous interior. It's much larger than I expected, and they were able to fit us in at the bar.Frankie, our fabulous mixologist, was a delight! She helped guide us to some great cocktails, my favorite of which was the Come Clean. This cocktail consists of mezcal, green curry, bell pepper, lime leaf, Thai basil, cilantro, green apple, coconut, lime, and whey. WOW. It was like having a smoky Vietnamese dish as a cocktail and it was DIVINE. I got the last one they had available that night, otherwise I would've been three-deep by the end of our seating. For bites, we started with the Chicken & Quinoa Meatballs. These were big and covered with a Chinese garlic sauce, spicy mayo, peanuts, and jalapeños. I would definitely order them again, but they are in the Social Plates section of the menu for a reason! We also got the Gobi Manchurian stone fired pita, which is vegetarian and includes fried cauliflower, paneer, Kashmiri, mozzarella, and Manchurian chili sauce. I was a bit bummed because it was definitely more pita and sauce than toppings. I couldn't find the cauliflower at all, but it was tasty. Finally, we got the Berber Lentil Fritters from the snacks menu. These fritters have sweet pepper cheese, manchego, and spicy pickled carrots. As another vegetarian dish, this was a solid option and definitely satisfied!Overall, we had a great time here! I'd absolutely return for a longer visit and will be ordering the Come Clean cocktail every time! Frankie"
"Update- 10/10 experience again both dinner service and bar. Our server was a nice guy who checked on us multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. Emma at the bar was fantastic as well. Great vibes on a Saturday night, busy but not overwhelming. Get the octopus, you will not regret it."
"Great place to stop for a beer and snack. Historic site in a historic part of this historic town. The bar feels like an old-time pub and then the seating area (where we we were) has windows for the perfect people watching scenario. Our server was very nice but just needed a little reminder to make eye contact when she walks by. She probably would have sold more drinks if she were slightly more attentive, but she was still lovely."
"Great upscale dive bar, watched Sunday football here and the drinks were great and the bartenders were even better Great atmosphere with the chandeliers and lights and flamingo drinks Also I loved the chocolate art on my espresso martinis"
"I have a memory of reviewing this place, though maybe it's just such a default awesome spot for me that I assumed I already notified the world how great it is.Well, it's pretty great. It's a bar for every mood. A cool date? You can sit together in the window and yell over the music or play footsy on the bar stools. A drunken shouting fest with friends? Sitting elbow to elbow with other aggravated hipsters is the way to go there.A boozy brunch? One of their 80s diner booths has you covered.Their cocktails are reasonable, their beer selection ok, their food pretty high quality. None of these things will knock you out of your chair, but they kind of match the general vibe of just being generally satisfying. It's not really trying to be anything but the nice kind of local, I feel. The staff is also awesome. They all seem just happy to have you around. Not sure if they put something in their drinks or they just treat them well, but it's nice to feel welcome in a place. Also - they randomly have incredible pie. It's not every night, but I definitely recommend taking a pie gamble if you haven't already."
"Excited about trying out the newest restaurant in the group that created Yvonne's and Mariel, I came to Caveau while a friend was visiting from out of town. We were checked in quickly and had a 6 PM reservation, right when they opened. The space is indeed...like a cave. There are dining tables and a large DJ booth toward the front because it converts from restaurant to nightlife establishment (we didn't stay long enough to get to the nightlife portion). There's a fair amount of seafood (I'm allergic) on the menu, but the server informed us that since it was the first reservation of the evening, nothing had been cooked yet and so my food would be made first, for no cross-contamination. Yay! Caveau has an inventive cocktail menu, and I liked the Mamala (tequila-based drink) that I ordered. I also enjoyed the lettuce wraps, which I got with chicken instead of tofu. Actually, understatement--the lettuce wraps were bomb! The Fijian chili chicken with Manchurian sauce was delicious. There was an interesting cross-section of people dining in that evening. One thing was it was ice cold at our particular table, which was right underneath an air vent. And I do mean ice cold--we both put our jackets on for the entire time we were eating. All that said, Caveau is a nice addition to the COJE restaurant group. I'm sure I'll be back!"
"For a first-timer at Lolita, this place packs a punch. Hip decor, awesome tunes, superb food and kick-ass service. After a long day of flying, we arrived at 10:30pm and Carol, our server, helped us make some quick decisions.First up, some Cucumber Margaritas. That hit the spot!Next the Hot Queso Dip and Spicy Artichoke Empanadas. Both were excellent choices!Gotta love the icy palate cleanser the serve with a splash of Tequila between courses. For entrees, the Beef Gorditas and Steak Sofrito were beautifully plated, yummy and oh so filling. And what a fun way to end your meal but with cotton candy and pop-rocks!"
"Excellent drink Bangarang made by our skilled bartender Olivia!!Absolutely must recommend coming to this bar and trying this drink. Ambiance is great.Music is fineCrowd is lively.Service is super quick and the bartenders are crazy skilful making delicious drinks in a jiffy. French fries are not good. My hubby and I absolutely loved it and enjoyed our time here."
"The wine selection here is not the best. They might only actually have one variety of wine. For a bar you would expect more. The bartenders are great tho and the food is good."
"I made a reservation last minute on open table and I wasn't disappointed. You have to make reservations and pay $35 plus taxes and 18%. This Included experiencing the views ( go early) , a choice of a handheld, sharable or salad for your meal and non alcoholic drink. I must say, it was totally well worth it. Tyler was my server and she was kind, friendly and attentive. I chose the NEW ENGLAND LOBSTER ROLL I also chose the warm option, toasted split top bun. At the end my bill was $0 and the tip ( 18%) was already included in my reservation for her. Highly recommend the experience!!!"
"Visited Empire last night to celebrate two of my friends' birthdays and the food is extremely mid. Don't get me wrong, none of the food we ordered was terrible but the food was nothing spectacular either. We ordered a couple apps to start, including the "spicy" avocado salad, salt and pepper wings, and fried calamari. The apps I would all rate 5/10. We also ordered a bunch of rolls which honestly were not bad, just nothing special. For the price of each roll, I would say they are not worth it at all and you could get the same rolls (& probably better quality & ingredients) for half the price from your local neighborhood sushi joint. 5/10 for their sushi rolls.I honestly was content with only having a bite of each dish we ordered because I did not want to waste space in my stomach. The only thing I would probably come back for is the lychee martini. Please do not make the mistake of ordering the pad thai. The pad thai they served was absolutely terrible. The noodles were soggy, bland, and too wet. We ended the dinner with two desserts, one triple chocolate cake and the coconut mango baked alaska. The coconut mango baked alaska tasted like passion fruit with no hints of mango or coconut, so it was super disappointing. The triple chocolate cake was mostly just fudge and no actual cake. Overall, Empire is a nice looking restaurant. I know that it does turn into a night club at night except on Sundays... but come on. The food should be a high priority and unfortunately is not great & is overpriced. Would not come back again."
"This Malden hot spot is the place to be on a Saturday night. We made a reservation earlier that day, and I'm glad we did bother to make one because it was busy. Once seated, we were brought warm bread with sweet butter. YUM! We devoured this right away, and later on they offered us another plate of bread with butter. YES PLEASE. Exchange Street has an impressive martini list, but we ended up going with the February cocktail special, Perfectly Peared Up, which was essentially a prickly pear margarita. The drink was good, and you can't beat $5. For food, we ordered the short rib arancini, crispy calamari, gnocchi, and duck confit pizza. My faves were the pizza and gnocchi. The buttery sauce the gnocchi came with was great to dip bread into. This ended up being way too much food for us, so we happily took home leftovers. Service throughout the night was very friendly and a good pace. Overall, Exchange Street is a solid spot to go with a variety of people. Prices are reasonable, and everyone is bound to find something of interest on their food & drink menus."
