I was so excited to try Lanner Noodles & Bar since I love Lanzhou beef noodle soup and I've only been able to have it one other time in Boston before. I tried to go when they opened but the wait times were too long (but they have an online waitlist). I put myself on the wait ahead of time and it wasn't too long until we were sat. I believe it used to be a Tibetan restaurant before so it's not super new looking inside and very no frills. The prices here are incredibly reasonable for Boston, with a huge bowl of soup being around $14 (?). Every single item I got was a hit (even the one I ordered by accident). The cold cucumber was so addictive and garlicky and I meant to order the fried chicken nuggets but ordered the pepper chicken by accident. It was really good, super salty, but flavorful. The sweet and sour short ribs are SO GOOD and only $10. The pork topped noodles were also good but the beef noodle soup was even better. The noodles are thick and chewy which is a must. If you don't eat an excessive amount of food like me you can 100% walk out of here with a meal under $20! Highly recommend Lanner.

The Pepper Chicken was mildly spicy and had a great flavor. The lamb was tender and fell right off the bone. The braised beef was also very soft, but there were only about three pieces. The flavor of the soup was on the lighter side. Overall, pretty standard noodle place! The restaurant is not too large, but my friend and I (party of 2) didn't need to wait for a table for a weekday dinner.

Solid spot for hand pulled noodles! Came here on a Monday evening around 6 pm and there was no wait for a table. The restaurant seating area is small. Some of the tables can feel pretty cramped. Service is prompt until you order... we got waters when we were seated and the waiter took our order shortly after. But they don't check in on you (no water refills etc) so just wave down someone if you need anything. We ordered the hand pulled beef noodles (classic) and the hand torn cabbage. They don't specify on the menu but if you don't get the 'classic' noodles, then the noodles are not hand pulled. The beef slices were tender, good quality although lacking in quantity. Thinly sliced pieces of daikon complemented well. The broth was savory. The best part was the noodles were fresh and chewy. Hand torn cabbage was very tasty with a nice kick for a vegetarian dish. I would've like it less salty tho. It needs a bowl of rice on the side to cut the saltiness (they don't offer rice). Overall a good spot for a solid bowl of beef noodle soup, would recommend!

Authentic noodles place with lots of different noodles options on the menu including handmade noodles. I had the noodles with pork belly which was delicious! We each ordered different dishes and I was impressed that each dish had its own unique flavors. Service is friendly and efficient. The vibe is of a busy local place. Definitely a place to come back to.

This place tasted soooo amazing!! I got the noodles with tomato and egg and was so in love with it. The servers were extremely kind and took our orders pretty quickly. The place is nicely decorated. I will definitely be going back whenever I'm in Cambridge!!

Came back again post work out nearby. The soup is really hearty and service is fast. We had to wait a little bit for a table of 8. However, I do wish they have a little bit more meat and not as much noodles. Would still come back again!

This is a great place to come with friends and split everything on the menu. We got a variety of menu items to share, I loved the big plate chicken. I also really enjoyed the hand pulled beef noodles, they are so comfy to eat! The service was fast, just be sure to go on the waitlist through Yelp during busy times. The place is a bit small, but very cozy and the servers are very attentive.

I've been keen to try Lanner for months since I first saw it on my IG feed. There's so many new (good!) restaurants in the Harvard/Central area now, and I actually didn't realise Lanner took the same spot by the now-closed Rangzen Tibetan restaurant. My friends and I showed up around 12 on a Sunday - it was pretty busy already (they open at 11h30) but there was a table open for us. While we were eating, there was a bit of a queue throughout (maybe 2-3 tables waiting), so there might be a bit of a wait if you come later, but nothing too lengthy, I'd think. (I think there is a waitlist on their website that you can join in advance.)I ordered the braised beef noodles (紅燒牛肉麵), which was pretty good! The broth was very fragrant and decently spicy (there is some chilli oil on the table if it's not enough haha). The noodles were very yummy, well-cooked to a good chewiness, and portion size was very filling. The beef was not bad - pretty tender and flavourful - but there was not much (as in, a very skimpy amount of meat). My friend had the hand-pulled beef noodles (蘭州牛肉麵) which was also really yunny: tender beef, rich broth, and plenty of delicious noodles, too.Overall a very solid meal, and price point (~$17-18pp in total) was quite reasonable. I don't think the area has had a good Lanzhou noodle restaurant since Fresh in Allston closed down a few years ago, so I'm very glad that something has taken its place now :) I'd love to come again to try some other noodle options + side dishes (the skewers looked and smelled so yummy haha).

As a Taiwanese, this place could quench my home sick. There are too many good things to mention. It becomes so popular and crowded. Well recognized.
