Staff were so, so sweet, but the food was not it. The salmon sashimi was super funky to the smell and mouth...That was their last serving of salmon, so I didn't want to be that person to ask for exchange. So, I held my breath and ate 'em all.

Fresh sushi and fast service! Right in the heart of a lively college. It's also surrounded by other shops, so I can literally get a mix of sushi and ramen/udon/Japanese curry all in one meal hahaha.

This is a hole in the wall Sushi Bar (only bar service and cash only) that is in the Porter Square shops at Lesley U. near the other Japanese options. So instead of Bar crawls? Food hop the stalls at Porter Square full of yummy and inexpensive goodies.Pros:1) The Boston Rolls (Salmon, Avocado, Cucumber) and get it Spicy or a side of Spicy Mayo2) The people are Japanese!! I get so annoyed when I'm in a Chinese restaurant serving Sushi. 3) Love the Sashimi (especially the Tuna)4) Miso Soup is on point5) Great place to sit by yourself for sushiCons:1) Pass on the edamame. It's frozen.2) Don't come with more then 2 people, but sit in the end corner if you have 4 (on the L). It will fit. 3) No lunch specials- but no big deal b/c it's inexpensive all day.This is not Oishii. Let's get this straight, but it's a simple and hole in the wall sushi place where people are extremely nice and there is quality fish. I've been here so much that I have never had a bad experience and this is way way better than super market sushi per some other older reviews.

TLDR - Fresh, affordable, fast, everything you need in a quick stop for sushiI love Sushi is a small place with about 10 counter seats that serves up fresh sushi for anyone who's got a craving and wants something with quality, but without the extravagance of a full-scale restaurant. They use excellent quality fish and they're menu has a good variety. I'm also a fan of writing down your orders on the laminated menu. Price point is also very affordable and it's a pretty cute food-venture date spot to stop at, especially if you're looking for Asian food here in Porter Square. I Love Sushi is located alongside a couple other small Asian pitstops that I've heard great things about.

Our favorite sushi place. Good if you want to go out and sit at the counter or good to pick up and eat at home. Would be even better if they had a basic selection of beers/wines, but the food is definitely five stars.
