It is vegan ice cream that has absolutely no flavor sadly. The peanut butter and the blueberry shortbread had zero taste to it. Not worth another visit.

My black raspberry chunk ice cream was fantastic! I was in disbelief that it was it was vegan because it was sooooo creamy and delicious. Their little wooden spoons are such a nice touch as well. The employee scooping out ice cream was so nice as well. Will definitely be coming back for more!

Super cute vibe on the outside and inside. I love how eco friendly they are with the plant based cookies and ice cream. Was a bit expensive for a pint $13, but the quality you get is amazing. I got the birthday cake flavor which was also gluten free and had cake pieces that taste so real! I also really loved their cute leave a note/poem, take a note/poem. The cashier was friendly and patient which I always appreciate. Definantly worth the visit if you're in the area!

Whoa! I cannot be any happier with our stop here. I've reached the peak of great choices and hospitality. We had some lovely people helping us out, able to find some good seats to bathe ourselves in great Boston ice cream. CHEERS to them !

I love fomu so much! Typically I prefer soft serve to hard ice cream but theirs is an exception. It's vegan so the base has an underlying coconuty flavor which I love (I think bc they use coconut milk). Definitely an elevated treat. Very creamy despite there being no dairy. The flavors they offer are amazing and so unique. Grasshopper pie, lavender, raspberry crumble, cold brew, etc. The mix ins they use are so yummy and create a great texture. Top tier ice cream. Would reccomend going out of your way to try!

After enjoying a delightful dinner, we were in search of the perfect sweet treat to cap off our evening, and FoMu in Boston delivered just that. What sets this place apart is its commitment to being all vegan, which was a refreshing and welcomed change. Vegan ice cream tends to be gentler on the stomach, but sometimes it can fall short in the flavor department compared to traditional dairy ice cream. However, FoMu proved to be a worthy contender. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was charmingly no-frills. But what truly stole the spotlight was the ice cream itself. I'd highly recommend going for the small size because you won't want to miss out on trying as many flavors as possible.Every flavor we sampled was exceptional. The peanut butter chocolate cookie, with its rich and creamy texture, was a heavenly indulgence. The key lime pie flavor was a refreshing burst of tangy sweetness, and the whoopie pie was pure nostalgia in a scoop. FoMu's vegan ice cream not only meets but often exceeds the flavors of its dairy counterparts. As you stroll through the lovely Seaport district in Boston, do yourself a favor and make a pit stop at FoMu. Whether you're a vegan enthusiast or simply in search of high-quality, delicious ice cream, this spot is a must-visit. It's proof that you don't need dairy to create an ice cream experience that truly satisfies the palate.

I came with my husband for some post-dinner dessert. We walked over and ordered two small ice creams in cups. The service was fast - they are efficient with samples. My husband had the chocolate pudding and I got raspberry crumble. The flavors were tasty! My complaint about mine is that there was way too much of the oat crumble. It was almost like having a lot of chewy granola in my ice cream. I prefer a finer, crispier granola. In general, over time you start to notice the coconut flavor of the ice cream base which isn't my favorite. That's the cost of eating vegan ice cream I suppose. We sat inside at a big picnic-style table inside and enjoyed the ambiance for a bit. Would recommend for a small treat if you're nearby, but if there is a J.P. Licks across the street I'd choose that over Fomu any day.

Finally - ice cream I can eat! Delicious ! I tried the vanilla ice cream because I was a little nervous about the coconut flavor - having had other coconut based frozen treats many of them are overwhelming with the coconut flavor or aren't soft enough to be considered a fair ice cream replacement. Not only was this delicious but not hard as a rock! Next time I'll try the cookies and cream! Yum!
