Falafel Mom

I give it 5 stars for a mall spot, would've been more like 4.5 if it were a restaurant but it gets some credit for being a good deal. The chicken was great, tasted and felt freshly grilled, and the pickled onions were a great addition.

When @ Falafal Mom..... try the Falafel. I was not seeking meat, so to the falafel plate! Solid: I like it hot with a firm outer layer, FM did not disappoint. I was surprised by the patty format, but it led to a consistent crust and core. Condiments were tasty, small'ish portions but served their purpose. If only I had asked for a dab of harissa.... Agree w someone's assessment of ambience. The LTM has picked up a little, but still treading water. If you're going to a movie, give this place a crack.

I really enjoyed my Chicken Shawarma plate, which came with a side salad, hummus, and a couple sauces. It is on the pricier side for a fast casual meal, but I'd order it again when in the mood for Middle Eastern food.

Love this place. Such good food. I always feel good about spending my money on such a family owned and run establishment.

Delicious middle eastern food. Such an underrated hidden gem. The location is the only reason this place isn't more well known. The liberty tree mall is pretty dead. The service was amazing the falafel "mom" was the sweetest. Reminds you of a home cooked meal by your momma. Me and my hubby ordered the shawarma and falafel sandwiches and also rice pudding. The shawarma was delicious it was smokey, fresh, crispy veggies and delicious garlic sauce. My falafel sandwich was crispy also had the garlic sauce I couldn't get enough of and delicious olives and veg. The rice pudding was the perfect ending to the meal. It was the best rice pudding ive ever had, my husband had to take it from me because id eaten half of it before he barely even got a bite i thought one would be enough, it was not. Overall i can't recommend this place enough. She told us everything is made fresh to order, the portions and price are perfect, and overall just a warm welcoming place definitely will be frequent customers

People were nice, but the photos on their website do NOT match the food you receive. The side sauces and the pickles aren't homemade, -- one was Frank's Red Hot, the other, Thousand Island. Traditional garlic sauce was nonexistent. Falafel was dense and flavorless, and the grape leaves had a well-flavored tomato sauce, but the rice filling was mushy/overcooked. The salad served underneath the grape leaves was the only part of the meal we enjoyed, and it was only meant for garnish. I'm sad to report this, but the 5-star reviews seem a bit off base.

Sometimes food courts deliver delicacies you can't get anywhere else. If you want an Iraqi-style, Halal, street food experience and you don't happen to live in Baghdad, I recommend visiting the Liberty Tree Mall Food Court and Falafel Mom. Outstanding Shawarma. Outstanding, pickled goods. Outstanding falafel. Everything made to order by a friendly family. The decor, is "dead-mall food court chic", so maybe not the best place for Valentine's Day, but great for a quick dinner or lunch either to eat there, take out a picnic, or bring home.

Great new restaurant at Liberty Tree Mall. I had the chicken swarma plate and added baba ghanoush...it was all great. Made fresh. Customer service was good and we were really happy

A great family owned Mediterranean delicatessen. I was pleasantly impressed! I ordered the vegan veggie platter. It was crunchy and flavorful, sweet and delicious, fresh and filling. It had a few nice side dishes. I would certainly return for more.

Wow, what a hidden gem. Absolutely incredible. Got the falafel plate and promptly cleaned my plate. Between this place and Sea Lion Sushi the Liberty Tree Mall seems to weirdly attract unassuming yet amazing restaurants. Highly recommend if you ever are craving falafel on the north shore.
