I first discovered Dynasty Restaurant through a Yelp event, and ever since then, I've found myself coming back for more -- a handful of times, in fact. My most recent visit was just last week. After a long day, my gf and I stopped for dinner around 9:30 pm and, as always, were quickly seated and greeted with a pot of their delicious green tea. I've never really been much of a tea person, but there's something about *this* tea that I actually look forward to every time.To start, we ordered the shrimp dumplings, which were absolutely delicious and among the best I've had. For the mains, we shared the stir-fried string beans with pork, which were solid, but the real highlight was the seafood in XO sauce. The fried tofu in the dish is incredible -- I seriously can't get enough of it. The fresh seafood (octopus, scallops, squid, shrimp) is cooked to perfection, making it one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had. I'm completely obsessed with it, and I can't recommend it enough. Pair it with some white rice, and you've got a meal that never disappoints.I'm happy to write my 100th review for Dynasty, which has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Boston for authentic Chinese food. This place is a true gem in Chinatown!

Not a good experience. Their dim sum is bland to be honest and. on the cool side. Went there on a recent Saturday afternoon. Ordered their cha siu puffed pastry, the taste was okay but it was barely warm. It was almost cold. Service was your usual Chinese restaurant. Their yo-tieu rice roll wasn't crunchy at all, barely gave enough soy sauce. Also got their steamed soy-wrapped pork, flavorless, bland, and the meat wasn't fresh. This was my 2nd and will most likely be my last visit here.

I came with the family for lunch on a Monday without a reservation. The restaurant was full to capacity with people even sitting at a counter in the dining room. Be aware that the space is so tight that it's uncomfortable, chaotic and very noisy. We ordered a few different types of dumplings, all of which were outstanding, including soup and shrimp + chive. Then we had pork + string beans and triple delight fried noodles. It was all delicious. Service was fragmented, so we waved at the servers to get their attention and place our orders. Portion sizes are reasonable and prices are expensive.

Came here for some late night Dim Sum and had an okay experience. The waiter seemed very nice but the food quality seemed mediocre. We got many of our dim sum favorites like siu mai, spareribs in black bean sauce, buns, etc. But everything was either tasteless or kind of cold. The spareribs in black bean sauce had basically no black bean and they also forgot we ordered it. We ended up waiting a long time for it. The siu mai, feng zhao & veggies were lacking flavor. This restaurant checks the boxes if you're craving some late night food (that isn't fast food), but nothing to write home about.

In my opinion, this is by far the best dim sum option in Boston's Chinatown! It's quite popular - we came on a weekday late afternoon and there was still a wait, so I imagine it's even more busy on weekends - but it's worth it!! We ordered a little bit of everything, my favorites being the shrimp and chive dumplings and their fried turnip cakes. I'm a big turnip cake girlie but I've never seen the fried version. It was such a nice balance of slight crunchiness on the outside and soft turnip flavor on the inside. Every dish tasted like it was made fresh and with high quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

My friend recommended we try this place out and it did not disappoint. Everything came out piping hot!Stir Fried Rice Noddle W/Xo Sauce - the rice noodles came out mushy rather than crispy. I wish it was stir fried a little longer. The flavor was good.Chicken With Salted Fish & Eggplant - this was very good! It was the perfect amount of flavor from the salted fish and the sauce.Steam Shrimp Ball W/Fish Roe - this was a little bland so I wish it came with a sauce to dip it in. It had a good amount of shrimp and would recommend if you're coming for dim sum.

Location wise, this place is very convenient, as it's just around the corner from the main entrance of Chinatown, around the corner from the playground and where local residence play cards and Chinese chess. This is a new establishment, and has lots of new furniture and the decor is all very beautiful and new. However, with that said, they definitely packed this restaurant very tightly with a lot of tables. I can't count how many times I was elbowed or hit by someone passing by as I was seated at my table. This place is known to have dim sum served all day long, which is why my wife and I both thought it would be great to try out as we love Dim Sum and wanted it for dinner. The service was, rather underwhelming. That was probably because the staff was having an argument with one of the managers. ( one guy was wearing a black polo shirt while I believe the man in the red polo shirt was the manager). The argument led to a shouting match in Chinese, which left the restaurant, to be rather uncomfortably quiet. I totally understand that in the heat of any kind of busy business, tensions and feelings may be hurt, but I would hope that they would try to resolve this away from ears especially, when I have my son with me. Food came rather quickly, the food was hot, tasted fine, but really, nothing worth writing home about. Additionally, for the price that we were paying, this is definitely very expensive for dim sum. I'm guessing because of the awkward silence, and the outburst that was had. We were served a dessert of red bean soup. It was hot, sweet, and nice on the pallet, but when you think about how much we had spent for dim sum this really was rather expensive. There are other restaurants that serve dim sum all day, the ambience may not be as nice, but with the price point and the quality of dim sum, I can recommend other places opposed to this one.I would say that if you are on a first date, and looking for maybe a romantic spot with a little bit of eating and more talking, this might be a good place to go, but I really can't recommended for those who are interested in enjoying authentic dim sum.

Good: service is very good here compared to the other Chinatown spots I've been. If anything is wrong they're more than happy to fix it. The scallion pancakes are very good with a generous portion and reasonable price. Ambience isn't bad at all, clean and like any other Chinatown sit down place.Could be better: I ordered tofu off of the "vegetable" section under the guise that it would be vegetarian. I didn't feel the need to say "I'm a vegetarian" since I was ordering off of that section of the menu. The tofu had shrimp in it!!! They took it off the bill, and let me know I had to specify vegetarian in the future. They offered to make me a different one or tofu without shrimp (excellent service) but I was full from the scallion pancake so declined.I ordered fried tofu and didn't realize it would literally be only fried tofu. This part was my mistake. Also the teapot looked like it was falling apart and they put some sort of plastic cap on it... strange but the tea itself was super super good. Still drank it.

I'm in love.We stopped in for a light dinner and were seated immediately. We ordered a few dim-sum type dishes: Peanut Dumplings, Bean Curd Wrap with Pork, Xiao Long Bao. All were AWESOME ; the peanut dumplings are so addictive, I'm sure we'll get these every time we're there. My partner felt that the Xiao Long Bao were a close 2nd place, but I was partial to the Bean Curd Wrap with Pork. The total came to just $25. This isn't a tourist trap, it's an authentic, excellent, and inexpensive place that just became our favorite Chinatown restaurant.
