Quick order Chinese in Chelsea. I got the small Shrimp Lo Mein and for $7.50, it was a decent portion. A little on the bland side and I'm not sure that all of the shrimps were completely cooked (they shouldn't be even a little transparent) but I risked it and was fine. The meal definitely needed some hot mustard to give it some kick.Small place, a few tables inside and a huge menu board.

This is what I've been looking for since moving from my hometown 5 years ago. The chinese food here feels like it has a latin fusion to it with the rice. It's perfect in my opinion. And I'm glad I finally found another chinese restaurant with yellow (spanish) style rice. Absolutely love it.Make sure you try the half chicken with beef fried rice. Bomb.

This place has THE best New England style Chinese food!Okay the parking is challenging, ordering via the telephone drives me crazy and they stopped delivering into East Boston. All very sad. However, you must try the salt and pepper chicken wings and the Singapore mai-fun. Both dishes are really special. Also try getting the ham fried rice rather than your go-to pork fried rice. The meat is a little softer and can easily turned into dirty rice for left overs. The portions are on the large side so I alway have left overs. I use this place a lot when entertaining big crowds and the price is right. All of the dishes I associate with New England style Chinese e.g crab rangoon, Gen Gao, boneless spareribs are on point. Enjoy

This place is ok but the guy at the front desk that takes the orders is very inpatient and has poor English.. The prices can be outrageous depends on what u order but I give it three stars for the food..

Chung Wah is that place you go to because of three things:1. Good food2. Entertainment (both customers and the guy taking the orders)3. ConvenienceFirst off, the food here is pretty good for what it is. Cheap neighborhood Chinese food. The rice is different here though. Instead of the brown soy sauce infused rice you get a spanish style looking yellow rice. It still tastes pretty good. There are tons of different options to get and specials all over the place. I'm a sucker for the half chicken and fries. The soups here are also damn good. I get the wonton soup for the wife whenever she is sick. Always works for her.The customers here are some of the best you'll find around. From the hipsters that are gentrifying the area to the crack head trying to score a $2 special. The guy who takes the orders is also a trip. He can't speak or understand English that well which is fine but most of the clientele can't either. So watching them go back and forth on the ordering is non-stop hilarity. This place is right in the center of Bellingham Sq. so basically in the heart of Chelsea. Everyone pretty much goes here.

I came here three times to make sure I gave them a fair shake before saying that it's not good. It's not like it's a terrible restaurant, but everything is just a bit disappointing. Will not be returning.Food taste 3/5Food quality 3/5$ Value (portion size) 5/5Speed of service 5/5Sit down option - yesCash only - yesThe flavor of most items was a bit bland; the low price reflects in the quality. I don't know quite how to explain why the meat felt cheap aside from saying that it felt like they took pre-cooked meats and put sauce on it rather than marinating meats and letting the flavor speak for itself. I didn't love the texture of the beef (beef with broccoli and beef teriyaki sticks) and the rice and lo mein didn't have that much flavor to them despite seeming to have plenty of ingredients. The Kung Po chicken was alright but was not spicy (as implied by the menu) and had a lot of veggies, not a lot of chicken. Also the new lunch special info on the website is misleading; the options are much more limited (as of Aug and Sept '22). So I was caught off guard when I arrived and realized that there wasn't really a lunch special that I wanted. As others have mentioned, the guy at the counter is very difficult to understand but I have been able to order successfully. Beef with broccoli - good flavor but somehow still not that enjoyable to eat; probably wouldn't get again.Kung Po chicken - alright, not spicy at all. wouldn't get again. #34 (lo mein, beef teriyaki, boneless spareribs, chicken fingers) - bland.

This evening I called to place an order for pick up. My cell phone reception at the time wasn't the best, so the man who answered the phone was having difficulty hearing me as I had difficulty hearing him. I have worked in the customer service industry my entire life. Every time you get someone extremely rude. So as I stated on the phone, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
