Joy G. "Excellent soup dumplings, perfect for a blisteringly cold night! We tried to get into Mountain House and was quoted a 1.5 hour wait; walked a few steps over to BSD and only had to wait 10 minutes. Just a note - we came at around 7pm and the place was jam-packed with people waiting by the door. By 7:30, we were only a few tables left after the dinner bum-rush had cleared. So next time I'm in the mood for dumplings, I'd definitely come near the later end. Service was quick but friendly. You order by scanning a QR code. I liked how you can modify the spice level of every dish and request, for instance, no scallions or extra. Everything comes out to the table freshly prepared. We ordered:1. Crunchy garlic cucumbers: This made my breath stink to high heaven for the rest of the night but for anyone who loves garlic, this is for you. 2. Wood ear mushrooms: I love the texture of wood-ear but the sauce they were doused in was a bit too vinegary and spicy. One of the few dishes we didn't lick clean. 3. The Wuhan dry-heat noodles and the Beijing soy bean noodles. Loved both of these, would definitely get again. The Beijing noodles had a great nutty dark sauce on the bottom, but the bowl was a little too small for mixing.4. The pork and crab/pork dumplings. Not the best iterations I've consumed but pretty good. The wrapper was a little thick for my taste but the broth was very tasty and it was nicely structured so you could eat it without scalding your tongue. Also, for anyone looking for solo dining, there's a row of stools along the window where you can slurp your dumplings in piece.PARKING: Street parking impossible along this stretch but if you head down one street to Commonwealth, there is metered parking that's free after 6pm on Saturdays."

Adrienna Y. "Great option to satisfy those hot noodle soup cravingsWe ordered twice from here in the span of a week because I loved the hot broth and the texture of their noodles so much. Their takeout containers strategically separate the broth from the noodles so we could add noodles to the broth when consuming to prevent the noodles from becoming overly saturated with broth. I thought both the beef and lamb options were solid although I'm impartial to the beef because it is leaner. If you're a fan of fattier cuts with tendon/silver skin, the lamb would be the right choice for you. Noodles are cooked al dente and the broth stayed hot long after the food arrived. Will have to stop to dine in next time since we only tried them via takeout!"

Was going to stop at a different spot (which we did) but after looking at the menu and what people had ordered on the tables, we decided to come back to Fuchunju. For a couple bucks more per dish, and noodles that actually looked tasty, felt that it was more worth it to get something we'd know we enjoy. The Shanghai noodles had good flavor, pork was tender and that was a good pick imo. We also went super American and got the gen Gaus chicken (told them extra spicy but it wasn't really spicy) i just wanted it NOT to be overly sweet like how many places do it. Enjoyed it, crispy crunch and dark meat chick pieces. It was busy busy, and we put our name on the waitlist but one of the servers got us a table pretty quick: will be back!"

Brian W. "I absolutely cannot believe that this place only has 3 stars - it is my favorite American-Chinese takeout place in all of Massachusetts. The value is really incredible, and the quality of the polynesian food is really good. I've ordered from here twice in the past month and both times have been exceptional. But what really stands out is how great of a deal these lunch specials are:First Lunch Special (Pork Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, 3 Crab Rangoons) - $9.90Yes, that's right - all of that food for $9.90! And it gets even better - their lunch specials are available on Saturdays! Pork Fried Rice - I do wish there was egg in this, but I can easily add my own. However, the chunks of pork are really large in this fried rice, and there is a great mixture of lean and fatty pieces here. The rice is nice and dark (if you know New England fried rice, you know), and the flavor is nice and strong without being too salty. Almost every bite comes with a big piece of bbq pork in it, and this is a really satisfying fried rice.Sesame Chicken - Surprisingly, even after ordering takeout and coming in a styrofoam container with a lot of condensation, this was still crispy. This was everything I wanted in an unhealthy meal - crunchy sticky, sweet, and juicy. 3 Crab Rangoons - These are the true reason I keep coming back here. I am extremely picky with crab rangoons and my aunt used to own a Chinese Restaurant that made the greatest ones. This is as close to them as I have ever found, and I order from a good deal of Chinese restaurants. The wrapper is nice and crisp on the outside edges and filled with a good amount of crabby and cream cheese filling. The sign of a good crab rangoon is that you don't have to eat it with duck sauce to cover up the flavor, and I always eat these on their own. That being said, the duck sauce here is also amazing. It's not that orange or red sticky stuff, but it comes in a container and I think they make it themselves - it's got a nice brown color and tastes fruity, sweet, and tangy without being overwhelming. But still, the crab rangoons are so good that they don't need it!Second Lunch Special (Pork Fried Rice, Lobster Sauce, 3 Crab Rangoons) - $9.55Same thing - so much food for $9.55 - and on a Saturday! I actually like the fried rice enough on its own so I eat it without the lobster sauce and then use the lobster sauce on my own white rice that I make at home, giving me 3 meals for only $9.55 - a really incredible deal.Pork Fried Rice - See aboveLobster Sauce - To be completely honest, I've had better lobster sauce (ground meat in a savory thick sauce), but this is not bad at all. It's a good portion, and it's salty enough to be able to last two meals with white rice. It's very dark and savory, with a nice and thick texture that almost sticks together. Delicious!3 Crab Rangoons - See aboveOn top of all of that, the delivery was really fast - I think I ordered while I was out grocery shopping and it was there when I arrived home - in only 20-30 minutes after I placed the order. Hats off to their drivers!Again, I'm really surprised that other people haven't had good experiences with this place - I've been ordering from them since 2020 and they have been consistently the best Chinese takeout I've had in Massachusetts since then. 5/5 stars, and I will happily continue to order from here!"

Wen's Noodle across from Boston Common is a small place that gets mostly Asian eaters because it's authentic and not Americanized like Panda Express and shit like that. Basic noodles like pho and ramen. There's a variety of noodles and of proteins as well. It has mostly Chinese along with Korean and Thai cuisine. Lots of variety to get here. There's a nice range of levels of spice. Among the Thai items are curries. These come with a choice of a protein like chicken or tofu. I like the Vegetarian Curry Over Rice. It's $10.89 for a pretty big portion of this. There's the protein along with some vegetables. A mild level of spice. This an also be adjusted and it can be way hotter than this. Curry sauce is also good. The noodles dishes are good too but just know to substitute rice noodles because these are the egg free ones. Has a small dining area inside. It doesn't have a whole lot of tables so it can be hard finding a seat. This is a reason why most people get takeout."

Justin S. "For a quick lunch, I returned to Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles and ordered the Pickled Fish Rice Noodle / 酸菜魚米線 ($13.95). Despite the incomplete translation, it does not contain pickled fish; it contains tilapia fillet chunk and pickled mustard leaf. The broth was incredibly rich, with a decent fish broth base accentuated by a nice acidity without being acrimonious. The rice noodle also possessed a decent spring without being overly cooked, considering that the rice noodle came in a separate bowl to put into the main dish upon serving.Annoying enough, since the restaurant seemed almost full, the wait staff seemed busy. The hot stone bowl that should have rendered the soup sizzling and just off boil was not. The soup was still decently hot, but what's the point of using a stone bowl if the dish doesn't come out piping hot? While the dish still tasted delicious, this to me separates this 4* experience from my previous 5*."

It's not the best I've had, but it hits that sushi spot. The staff is also pretty happy and accommodating, the place kind of has this low-key vibe. It might help that the times I've been here it's been pretty empty, but honestly I like that versus the insanity that places like Fuji get up to.Generally a good place to go for sit down or take out, kind of confused why this would have such a low rating. Honestly, they're probably just as good as the ones I used to get outside my grandma's house by Hongqiao. We actually got them to go, rode the bus all the way home, opened up the bag, and they were STILL crispy. AND THE SOUP. The freaking soup was heavenly. Meat so tender. Oh my gosh, so good. I'm just so happy right now. We've gotten SJB from other places in the area like Taipei Gourmet and Formosa Taipei, and no offense to those restaurants, but SJBs aren't really their strength. They were barely even fried on the bottom. Basically just bao zi. This place tho? LEGIT. We actually had to wait almost an hour during the lunch rush on Saturday. It was definitely worth it, but hopefully we can plan around it next time. You can watch the 阿姨s making the SJB through the front window. So legit. Only complaint is the price. Almost $10 for 4... Their stir fried string beans are the best stir fried string beans I've had in Boston! Two of us ordered the spicy happy clam ($17.95), chairman maos braised pork ($23.95), stir fried string beans ($17.95), and chang sha lard rice for 2 ($10.95). This was quite a bit of food and we ended up taking home a lot of leftovers. The spicy happy clam had a nice flavor but I felt that they could have cleaned the clams a bit better because there were some clams that were still sandy. The chairman maos braised pork had soft and savory pieces of pork-- they weren't tender enough to fall apart but were braised long enough that the savory soy-based sauce soaked through all of the pork pieces. My favorite dish was the stir fried string beans. They were prepared in a dry-sauteed way with a lot of white pepper, so the seasoning reminded me a lot of Cantonese-style salt and pepper shrimp. The beans were fresh and crispy and perfectly blistered! If you do not mind rice that is a little bit greasy, I would highly recommend trying the lard rice. It had so much flavor that it could be eaten by itself. All of the dishes are quite flavorful but on the salty side so we ended up chugging a lot of water during the meal. I did not have any issues with the servers and they were super kind to us, although it seemed like they felt more relaxed speaking Mandarin with us as opposed to speaking English with other customers."

I don't read Chinese and the menu didn't have photos so we were a little lost and had no idea where to start. The waiter was really patient with us and was able to describe pretty much everything on the menu.We ended up getting the SFR spicy bowl where you can add different types of meats and veggies for additional costs. We got beef, sprouts, and enoki (the stringy long mushrooms) which were all good choices, but I wish we had gotten more filling like another meat choice and potatoes since there was so much sauce. I usually can't handle spiciness, but this bowl was hot but not extremely spicy like the waiter described. We also got rice in soup and legend tofu which both had milder tastes but both smooth and delicious as well. Other people in the restaurant (we came Wednesday and there were a good amount of people there considering it had just opened early March) ordered the dry pots which range between $27-29 and they're huge! They could probably feed about 3-4 people or 2 people with enough for leftovers. It looked like a mixed of veggies and meats (they offered squid, chicken, and rib) so I'd really like to try that next time. The place itself has 2-3 sections but seats a good amount of people, maybe about 50.
