Grabbed pastries on Christmas Eve morning. Place was busy and already selling out. Everyone was friendly and in a great mood though! Great quality and good price.

This Portuguese bakery has some of the best bread around, and offers a good variety too. Their pastries are delicious, and I'm partial to the turnovers and queijadas (natas), though everything I've had here is good. Their cakes are really pretty, but fairly sure I haven't had one. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. I've been going here for years and will continue to do so.

Best Portuguese bakery around! We love everything we've tried here, especially the Portuguese sweet bread and pastel de Natasha, but everything is incredible. We go year round, but it's especially fun to go at Easter time to get sweet bread, Natas, and a beautiful cake for our Easter dinner.

I was in the area checking out Danvers and Salem so I decided to stop in. There were so many good looking options that I wished I had had time to go back and try out other things. It was great to go in grab some breakfast and some other things for later.

This place is worth the frequent visit. Every time I drive to Beverly I beg my friends to bring me here! The bakery goods are all good and coming from New York it's so inexpensive. I think the number one reason I love it is for the affordability and the spontaneous sale on donuts. The bakery goods do not have that awful over powering almond extract flavor which is so refreshing. I've gotten a couple things here that I would recommend. The donuts are pretty good in a weird dry, dense way definitely would be good with tea or milk. One time a friend and I went there and there was a bakers dozen sale on the donuts for $4! I was shocked and it was so worth it.I also had the carrot cake, which was awesome, and a Blondie cheesecake hybrid that was bomb. I will always try to make it here when I visit because I love baked goods and love the affordability. The only complaint I have is some items sit on top of the counters and they aren't protected from the incoming elements. Things like bugs. But there are a bunch of things in the case that are so worthy of a visit so it doesn't really matter too much.

I have to say, Central Bakery used to be pretty good. Their desserts are great, but the one complaint I have, is they have the tendency to sell old and stail, bread, desserts, and appetizers. They sell these at regular price. I know a few people that go there and they all have the same complaints.

Picked up some goodies at Tilly's in peabody. Very good blueberry turnovers with cream. Nice to have the option of bakery items while picking up our plant's. Half and half's were delicious.

The malassadas was heavy and stale, and the "sweet" bread was tasteless. I am from Fall River, where there is a large Portuguese community, so I grew up with Portuguese food. This bakery does not carry that type of quality products. Will not be returning.
