Absolutely love Carmelina's! They wait staff is very quick with attending during your meal and is always coming around to check in/refill drinks. Smaller restaurant but makes up for in the best Italian dishes and atmosphere. I love that they don't serve dessert to support the local bakeries (we recommend Modern a few doors down). Will definitely be going again!

Definitely make a reservation months in advance - they rarely take walk-ins. The place is so busy, for good reason. The food is incredible! Overall, the combination of dishes that I ordered paired very well with each other. One cream-based, one tomato-based pasta, a fresh salad, and a full-bodied wine.Crazy Alfredo: 10/10 I usually avoid ordering alfredo pastas because I find they can be overbearingly fatty due to the heavy cream in the sauce, however, this crazy alfredo was perfectly balanced with spiciness of the sausage and the slight acidity from the peppers. I did not get sick of eating it throughout my meal although it probably helped that I ate it alongside a red sauce pasta and a salad. Chicken parm: 9/10 a classic goodie. The sauce was so good - one of the best tomato sauces I've had. The chicken was a good thickness, seasoned well, breaded well, and covered with a layer of delicious cheese. Not sure if other people agree, but I feel that the usage of a noodle pasta would elevate this dish.Overall, the atmosphere was lovely, with the open wall giving access to fresh air and a bustling street, given that the weather is nice. Some of the best pasta in Boston!

Took 2 months to make weekend reservation.Food: Ordered meatballs and scampi pasta. Scampi pasta came with angel hair pasta. It has bit lemony flavor with sweet fermented garlic which was pretty cool combination. I personally liked it. Meatball though was quite disappointing- it had more breadcrumbs/bread than actual meat so wasn't juicy enough for me.The vibe was cool, especially during autumn since they open their windows during afternoon :)

Planning to go around prime dinner time? Make a res in advance.Carmelina's in the North End of Boston is a historical treasure, seamlessly blending tradition with modern Italian cuisine. Nestled in one of Boston's most iconic neighborhoods, this cozy spot has become a staple for anyone craving a good Italian experience. I go there specifically for their frutti di mare, and it never disappoints! The pasta is perfectly al dente and the seafood is fresh. The rich, garlicky broth ties everything together, adding depth to every bite. This dish is not one to share, despite the portion being more than enough, it's just that good... The balance between the pasta and seafood is exceptional!Carmelina's is a must for seafood lovers who appreciate fresh ingredients and rich, bold flavors.

OMG!!! What an AMAZING experience here! My friend made reservations well in advance for us to dine here. A small and comforting restaurant with all the warm feels!!! We already knew it was going to be a lot of food so we chose conservatively. Lol We chose the following...*Crazy Alfredochicken, sausage, soppressata, sweet roasted red peppers, in a spicy alfredo sauce, fettuccine.*Wild Mushroom Penne cremini, shiitake, oyster mushrooms, sauteed w/ roasted garlic, sage, vegetable stock finished w/ sweet butter and topped with toasted breadcrumbs, parmigiano. The food made here is amazing and delicious! We chose the Crazy Alfredo as we read the reviews that it was delicious and it really was! Nice and spicy and all the flavor notes making your lip smack in delight. Also the Wild Mushroom penne was also delicious and light tasting. We enjoyed both entrees and had plenty to share and bring back our spouses! lol I would most definitely recommend this place. The service was top notch, the food was incredible! Kudos to the Chef too!!!

You absolutely need reservations for this quaint little Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston. We were seated immediately, water and bread were quick to follow. They brought us two glasses of Prosecco to our table since we were having an anniversary dinner.**Food: my husband had a pasta dish with a meat sauce and added a side of Italian sausage. I selected the pesto pasta that came with pine nuts and ricotta cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection, slightly al dente pasta. We greatly enjoyed our meals.***service: everyone was polite and friendly and accommodating.**ambiance : quaint and welcoming atmosphere. Loved having a window seat with the windows open and fresh air flowing through. This is a must stop if you want an Italian restaurant!!

Absolutely terrific dining experience in Boston at Carmelina's. I looked up some restaurants in the North End for the best ones and this one came to the top several times and I agree. We were lucky enough to sit in the best seat in the house at the window. Luckily for us, the window was open, and we had prime view of the street traffic. All the meals we ordered were terrific. The portions are absolutely huge, so be sure to come hungry or take it home. The one downside of that we experienced was the timing of food delivery. They do ask that you place your entire order at one time to make it easier for the kitchen. We did just that but the kitchen messed it up. We ordered an appetizer, and before we were even finished with it, our meals were brought out. This is never a good thing and I certainly wasn't happy about it since they mentioned that food would be spaced out appropriately. The restaurant ended up removing the app off our bill, but nonetheless it was a goof. Overall, this was a excellent choice. I would come back again.
