Gabby B. "Breakfast time! Finally got a chance to dine in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. This place is super cute! It's an order at the counter kind of place and if you dine in they bring your food to your table. They have a variety of yummy breakfast and lunch options along with several coffee options. My bf and I wanted something for breakfast and we decided to build our own breakfast bowls. I ordered oatmeal topped with roasted almonds, bananas and granola. My bf also build his bowl but he got yogurt for his base. We also ordered some specialty coffees which were very good.I did not know what to expect when my bowl came out but I was pleasantly surprised. My granola was served in a big flat plate and it was covered with tons of yummy roasted almonds and slices of bananas. Yum! I didn't think I was going to finish my oatmeal because it seemed like a lot but I actually did!! It was so good and I couldn't stop eating it!"

Anna F. "Excellent brunch meal here with friends. You have to go for the breakfast sandwiches. The fresh baked English muffins take it to the next level, along with other flourishes, and great combos of flavors. Noticed that they have specials. A couple of people in our party got a special sandwich- with egg and chorizo, on a special English muffin- potato chipotle. I imagine they were pleased- all the plates were empty. I got the Miss Maple- a maple butter cheddar and egg sandwich (love salty sweet) on the classic English muffin. They make the eggs medium, but you can request to have them made how you like. We also had a really good scone with lots of walnuts inside. The food is definitely made with care, including attention to all the ingredients. You can tell that they really like supporting local and are discerning (based on the jams, and products in the general store next door)."

They have a bunch of seating, but it does get pretty busy on the weekends. While they're a coffee/café type place, they still have plenty of regular menu items. I also love that you can order an entire pot of tea.I've stayed here for a few hours at a time, so don't worry if you're looking for a place to stick around for a while. Allison M. "Heard of this by way of a recommendation from a bunch of people who had spent more time in the area. Super convenient and dependable coffee shop that is a small chain.I really love their aesthetics. The white tiles and pastry display was a total win. It was incredibly chic and pleasing. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and there was seating indoors and outdoors. The staff is kind but rush you as the shop is quite busy. Everyone is moving at a fast pace. I went twice and their service seemed very good but not focused on individual. One time the food and drink really quick for me, but slow for my friend (and I ordered second) and another time. It was slow for both of us but fast all around us. The first time I got a salmon and egg sandwich and it was huge! A bit too much of the herb dressing, Their croissants/bread is the centerpiece for sure. A little bit hard for a croissant, but overall great flavor and texture. The second time I got a pistachio croissant and it was not my favorite. Basically a croissant that was sliced open with some pistachio cream inside. I wish I had selected something else. While they are good quality, you can certainly tell that they are built for mass production.Cappuccino was delightful and they offer a variety of options for milk. Didn't totally love the iced coffee, but that's OK. It still hit the spot. Nothing to write home about but a solid choice. The outside area can become quite windy so be cautious. Also, the door is so hard to open that a few people almost tried to walk away and give up because they thought the shop was closed."

Yvonne B. "I met Haley House during the pandemic. She was consequently doing her version of shelter-in-place which meant having truncated hours, online ordering and no customers inside. I would say "rude!" except that I understood because the 'rona is real y'all! Additionally, if she weren't playing so much peekaboo, I wouldn't have met one of their cooks (Tony) sitting outside one Thursday morning. He was friendly and kindly told me the hours. If you don't know ANYTHING about Haley House besides what's written on Yelp, I encourage you to do a little work to educate yourself. It would be inconsiderate to rate her anything less than 5 stars because of her nonprofit work. This isn't necessarily about my customer experience, it's about uplifting an entire community of vulnerable individuals. That said, my experience has been excellent. This is the best food I've had in Boston!I started with the Nubian Square Wrap which is made with jerk chicken. So much yes! If you eat on the patio, Haley gives you a bowl of goodness and a hot flatbread (chapati) to wrap it in yourself. There is WAY too much goodness for the flatbread so you'll be able to enjoy it later at home. It's amazing. It has a lot of spice without setting my mouth on fire. The flavors sing like a coordinated choir! The chicken and waffles. OMG. My wife took mine from me and then ordered some for herself the next time. The syrup has a little spice to it and the waffle (or maybe the chicken?) has a hint of coconut. Finally, the pea shoots have such a nice fresh contrast that lifts it all up. Yum yum yum!I had the Mediterranean Wrap last time and my wife stole every other bite. The hummus and roasted broccoli gave me life! It tasted so good, thorough and thoughtful. So many vegetarian wraps taste similar to one another but not this one. I loved it! It paired PERFECTLY with the salad that featured kale, squash, cranberries and seeds. So vibrant and interesting! We've also had the epic chocolate chip cookie. I don't know how to describe it except that it's the best chocolate chip cookie that either my wife or I has had in our entire lives! Finally, we're ordering from the guest chef, an Indigenous person, who is taking us into pre-colonial fare just in time for Thanksgiving. Haley House gave us literature about (basically) the genocide and general disregard of Native Americans and how we should take time to appreciate and uplift them. I can't wait to try the next guest chef menu at Haley House. We also love supporting the Black owned wines and beers that Haley features on her menu. Haley's the best!"

Apex S. "What a cute bakery! We've come here often and what keeps us coming back is the caprese acma. The flavors! The mozzarella, tomato, pesto are the best parts of a typical caprese sandwich. And add an acma to it? The flavor goes off the charts! And when you eat it piping hot, mmmm good.As for their other savory items, I've enjoyed the potato borek, mainly because the potato stuffing has actual spices! It's not plain potato and salt which is such a refreshing change. The mozarella pogaca is good too. Just an FYI, all of this can be quite heavy, so you might want to save some as a snack later.I enjoy their sweet baked goods too. The chocolate and almond caramel tart is such a huge slice (it is for ~$9) but was very tasty. They have cookies, and the almond sugar coated one is my favorite. But the absolute best is the baklava. Wow, the best baklava I've had. It was crisp on the outside, just enough syrup for the sweetness, and fresh pistachios in the center. Why did I only get one serving?!Definitely try this bakery, especially the Turkish delicacies. You'll love it!"

Tucked away this is a hidden treasure! Hot breakfast served until 11am. Lunch served all day. Order sandwiches or soup, or make your own salad. Choose from salad toppings like walnuts and cranberries, feta and shaved Parmesan, fresh veggies, tuna salad and chicken salad, etc... basic but with a nice flare! Popular in my office (we run down for lunch often) are chicken pesto sandwich and hummus veggie wrap. They also do catering. Order online. Delivery available of course. The ladies that work here and the family that runs the place are super friendly. You can pick up and go or there's counters along the windows in one corner of the place to sit and eat (approx 10 chairs). I was worried that it would be too sweet but it wasn't too sweet at all, although I noticed that most of the Nutella ended up in the bottom of the cup. The espresso flavor wasn't very strong so I might try the Kicco blend in the future although this adds an extra $1 to the cost of the drink. The staff are super friendly and they seem really proud of their drinks and snacks! I've tried their drinks but they are a bit expensive and were alright. However, they have the cutest pastries that you cannot miss out on. They come out super photogenic, and the craziest part is that they taste as good as they look!I've tried a good amount of their desserts by now, and I have to say that Rose is my all-time favorite. I also really love Love and Green Apple. Geometric Apple is a popular one made for those chocolate lovers! If you simply want the best bagel you can get in the area, I would probably recommend Turenne or Bagelsaurus first as these bagels are a little more bready. However, here it's all about the bagel sandwiches. They have a huge variety of creative and interesting bagel sandwiches, including an anchovy special! I especially appreciated that they have 5+ different vegan sandwiches. I had the Magnolia Avenue which was stuffed with two vegan breakfast sausage patties, vegan cheddar, arugula, tomato, jalapeno, barbecue sauce, hummus, and vegan spread. It was so tasty and filling! The jalapeno added a great kick. I think the vegan breakfast sausage might even be homemade because I didn't recognize it as any plant-based sausage I've bought, and the patties were huge! The vegan cream cheese is tofu-based. All the spreads are made in-house. Inside it is a classic NY deli vibe. The person assisting us (Gagandeep I think) was super friendly and a great salesperson. Of the "aesthetic" Vietnamese cafes I've tried in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area outside of Dorchester, this spot has my favorite banh mi!We got the beef spring rolls ($8), lemongrass chicken banh mi ($13), BBQ pork banh mi ($13), and an iced coconut matcha coffee ($8).We got to try 3 different kinds of meat and I was impressed by all of them! I've never had beef spring rolls before and I was expecting the beef to be quite plain, but it had a really nice seasoning to it and was super tender. The lemongrass chicken had a strong lemongrass flavor and was on the saucier side so the lemongrass sauce soaked into the bread. The BBQ pork had the sweetest flavor out of the different meats we tried and I loved how smoky and juicy it was!The spring rolls and banh mi were packed with fresh veggies. The pate in the banh mi was rich and tasty. The coffee was quite pricey but came in a large cup. I was able to taste the coconut and matcha flavors, which complemented the coffee well. Even though they added condensed milk the coffee wasn't overwhelmingly sweet.I would definitely come back again. The banh mi are pretty hefty on their own so a single sandwich can be a meal by itself-- the 2 of us were pretty hungry when we came here and splitting both spring rolls and banh mi left us stuffed.I noticed that there are a lot of outlets near the tables.
