Mark T. "Oh Douzō... you were doing so well, and I was about to sing your praises! Then I made a "mistake"... I ordered the Spicy Yellowtail. That's when the experience took a nose-dive off a cliff. I initially ordered the Caterpillar Roll & Crunchy Roll. The Crunchy, while different than what I usually get, was fantastic. Crunchy and soft textures, and an interplay of savory, salty, and sweet flavors. The fireworks show that well-executed dishes should be. The cuts of tuna & salmon up top were very generous, so even though there wasn't fish inside, it worked for me. The cucumber added freshness, and the tempura and fried onion added crunch. Rounding it out, the mango sauce was not at all overpowering, lending a gentle sweetness. Meanwhile the roe added a pleasant, subtle salinity. The Caterpillar was a phenomenal iteration of one of my favorites: the eel/avocado/cucumber roll. While not as intricate and complex as the Crunchy, it still worked well. There was a fair amount of eel, which combined with the avocado and eel sauce amplified the soft, sweet, and savory flavors. The cucumber and spicy mayo, meanwhile, were subtle and not at all overpowering. The rice, up to this point, was high quality. Then, I made my "mistake." I was hungry for more and ordered the Spicy Yellowtail. Things went downhill a little, then a lot. First, the rice was mixed with scallions. Now, while I don't like scallions, I don't deduct points just because of personal preference. Where this roll went wrong is the sheer amount of tempura combined with a tiny piece of fish. Unlike the Crunchy, the fish was fully lost within. I brought this up to my server who offered to change it to one that is how they usually make it. Ok, great! I went for it. I ended up regretting my choice, especially since I didn't want to send something back a second time. What I was served reminded me of gas station sushi. The whole roll was a little limp and didn't look super-appetizing. Though, it's the taste where it really flopped. The yellowtail here was the kind that was pre-made: chopped, mixed with too much mayo, and stored in the fridge. Thus, a limp roll with a cold, bland, mayo-heavy filling, and nothing else. Especially after the Caterpillar and Crunchy, it left a bad taste in the mouth - pun very much intended. Finally, before I wrap it up (pun not intended this time), I have a few more points to share. Don't worry, these are positive!1. The service was excellent. It was speedy, knowledgeable, and attentive.2. The vibe is modern and upscale. So much so I questioned if I was underdressed, even though my daily attire is business casual.3. Their menu is fantastic in that there are pictures for most everything. Even with items I am familiar with, it was great to be able to visualize what I would be ordering before ordering it. It is due to their exciting menu that I want to give Douzō a second chance. However, one thing's for sure, I will be staying far away from the Spicy Yellowtail (or regular yellowtail, for that matter)."

Linda R. "This is a Omakase style restaurant which means "it is up to the chef". The chef determines the content of each one bite course. I like sushi so the 20 course meal was great for my palate. I was doubting that 20 courses could be served without being seated for 4 hours but alas, each course arrived promptly after the finished plates were removed. I felt like this was an experience rather than a dinner. There isn't a traditional dinner flow to the evening. The course arrives, you get the overview, server leaves, you eat your one bite, the server appears and takes away your plate. Repeat 20 times. It is fun and delicious. The beverages are crazy expensive. Stunning in fact. So, not a place to focus on getting a bottle of wine. Have a beer or glass of wine. Service was spectacular. Friendly, extremely accommodating, knowledgeable about every dish and best of all..they kept the meal moving.Overall I am happy to have had the opportunity to try this multi year best of Boston restaurant. The beer was cold and frosty. The food - oh, the food. Everything was wonderfully delicious. We loved the rib-eye bao, it was everything they said it would be. It was tender and flavorful, fluffy and just spicy enough. The dumplings were even better. We loved the Wagyu beef dumpling, absolutely loved it! And the edamame dumpling was just as good, that corn soup was outstanding. We also had the duck-fat fries and they were just that. Duck fat fries, and I'd probably go for another order of the dumplings or bao buns before adding the fries next time. Loved this place!!"

TJ N. "This was my first visit to All Seasons Table. I liked the space, and even though it is supposed to be modern Asian, it could have been any restaurant as there were not many inflections of Asian-inspired decor. The place feels clean and modern. The front end was nice. The menu for Columbus Day was dinner only at 1:00 in the afternoon. That sort of dinged my impression at first, but there were a lot of choices, as we were presented with four menus. We selected a shrimp tempura sushi and spicy edamame for the appetizer. The sushi was spot on, actually better than many places I've been to over the years. The spicy edamame was tasty but lacked a little bit of salt though it did have a nice spice, just right. For our dishes we had Pad Thai and I got the pineapple walnut shrimp. It was presented with the tail sticking up and looked adorable. It was a little odd that the pineapple in the center was not part of the actual sauce and was cold. It was basically the traditional shrimp and walnut dish that you would get in many restaurants just with pineapple in the center. I decided to squeeze a little bit of lime on it and be honest with you. I highly recommend that to the chef to possibly consider, it made so much difference for just one little teeny wedge of lime squeezed on top at the finish.I used the restroom which was not as stylish as the restaurant, it was straight-up utilitarian, it almost felt like you were in a restroom for a completely other type of business, just seemed out of place. All in all, I would definitely return to this establishment as the food was above average across the board."

Tonight, we got the hamachi appetizer & salmon on fire, 3 maki rolls (toro truffle, for the love of salmon, & crunch mango), two entrees (chilean sea bass & squid ink noodles), & of course, had to end our meal with the lovely coconut sphere (my favorite!). We were not the biggest fan of asparagus or cucumber rolls last time we were here so we decided to skip out on those rolls. Everything tasted absolutely delicious per usual & cannot recommend Oishii's enough for sushi! Their menu is a bit on the pricey side BUT very generous portions and not skimpy like other high end restaurants. Dark ambiance here. Don't be shy to use flash for pictures hahaha. We were lucky to get quickly seated on a busy Saturday night because they only have a few two people tables, two four people tables and one table for six. I felt bad for the big group that was waiting before we got there because we were finished with our meal by the time they got seated. There are many dishes to choose from in the menu besides sushi. They also have main entrees, appetizers and sides and tons of different sakes and alcoholic beverages to choose from. Since it was tough to choose from the menu we both decided on the chefs omakase special. We each got a bowl of warm miso soup to start and a bottle of ice cold sake to share. When our sushi came out we were super excited because it looked delicious! The fish tasted fresh and some had a surprising strong kick of wasabi which surprised me in a good way. The interesting thing was that the 3 rolls I tried varied in both size and price quite drastically. I'd describe North End's lobster roll as medium sized. At $18, North End's lobster roll was easily the best value of the lobster rolls I saw in town. The lobster roll here has great balance. The cold lobster tastes great and the toasted bread works perfectly together. I loved the structure of the roll. It all held together till my last bite. Visually, it wasn't the greatest. I think it's a nice place for a quiet evening if the music isn't loud. Sometimes it's played really loud and you can't hear a thing. There's other times it's quieter and you can actually talk amongst yourselves. Has a bar which is good for smaller groups. Sushi is the main thing. Lots of specialty rolls to choose from. There's typical ones and more exotic ones. I like the Sweet Potato Roll the best. It's $7.50 for a good sized one. This is made with a sweet soy based sauce. Good place for Asian cuisine. Rocky W. "Yamato is decent AYCE sushi with appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Since it's a buffet, don't expect the best quality. I usually go here for their dinner service and order mostly sashimi, especially the tuna, white tuna, salmon, and mackerel. For appetizers, I love their shumai (fried or steamed), crab rangoon, agedashi tofu, and fried tempera. I would skip the fried calamari and spring rolls since they are frozen supermarket quality. I would also pass on their soups (udon and ramen). I like their salmon teriyaki and steak. For rolls, the rainbow, dragon, yellowtail & scallion, salmon & avocado, philly, and spicy salmon are some of my favorites. For dessert, I would pass on the fried banana and get the fried ice cream (only comes in vanilla) and regular ice cream (comes in green tea, red bean, or vanilla). The sashimi is good quality for a buffet. Their sushi rolls are padded with a fair amount of rice so I wouldn't order too many.I recommend ordering the most with the first round because they tend to drop items or give you less pieces with future rounds. I've also noticed that the food takes longer to come after the first two rounds so re-order early. The service is typical for an Asian restaurant and you will need to flag your server down from time to time.As fast as food waste goes, as long as it's reasonable, you won't be charged, but I have seen them charge items a la carta pricing if alot of sashimi or rolls are left uneaten. There is a 2 hour seating limit after you sit down. Currently, lunch (till 3pm) is $23.00 M-F and $26 on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. Dinner is $31.99 Sunday to Thursday and $33.99 on Friday, Saturday, and holidays. There are some dinner exclusive items such as sashimi, sushi combos, dessert, and a few entree items."

Mark T. "The Internet seems to have a very positive opinion about Yamato. After walking by and having a mental bookmark for over a decade, it was finally time to stop in. I blame Reddit - plus I had a nearby interview that got out just as lunch was starting. Off the bat: $24.50 for AYCE sushi lunch is a great deal, especially in downtown Boston. However, $25 can get you all sorts of delicious lunches, and I'm not sure Yamato has gone in my Rolodex of places to revisit. I do think it is worth a second chance though... only maybe for dinner.I had the opportunity to try:- Crab Rangoons- Brighton Maki- Volcano Maki- Salmon & Tuna Sushi- Salmon Skin Hand RollThe Crab Rangoons were alright. The filling was A-OK, however the fried wonton was on the thicker and chewier side for my taste. The Brighton Maki was a bit unsure. Rather than having a spicy tuna filling, in this case it was the exterior topping! Inside was avocado and white fish. Flavor-wise, this role wasn't much to write home about. I found the pieces a little inconsistent as well (more or less spicy tuna topping, smaller or larger bit of white fish, etc). Texture-wise, the large amount of spicy tuna, rice, and avocado led to a mouthfeel that hid the white fish. Overall though, pretty average: I'm glad I ordered it, but not necessarily something I'd order on future visits.Something I would skip on future visits is is the Volcano Maki. This one contained...cheese? I'm not sure, but it was a simple spicy tuna maki topped with a seemingly cheese-bound "torched scallop, tobiko, scallion, crab meat and mushroom mixture." Points for creativity, however seems like something I would make when trying to empty my fridge pre-vacation. It did not work here in my opinion. The salmon skin hand roll was very good. This one had balanced textures and ingredients, and allowed the quality of the rice to shine. While I deviation from my usual eel hand roll, this is something I would happily order again (though maybe in the eel variety). Also a favorite were the salmon and tuna sushi (nigiri, I suppose?). The simplicity is what works here. High quality rice and fresh fish, plus a little soy sauce makes for a winning combination. Finally, the service was friendly and attentive, no complaints there. The location was generally pleasant, but felt a little musty, and the mirrors could use a good wipe down. Thus, while the rice and fish are fresh and tasty, the execution could use some work overall. As such, I have the agree with Yelp's 3-star average, and disagree with those friends and Redditors who extol Yamato's virtues."

Allison B. "If I were rating Crudo on the food alone, it would be 4 stars (probably more a 4.5, but that's not an option). Unfortunately for Crudo, the vibe is just a weird one overall. To start with the positive:Ordered the jalapeno hamachi and the firecracker calamari - both came out quickly and were perfection. The hamachi was so fresh and absolutely delicious and really well portioned. The calamari was DELICIOUS and a massive portion for $16. The spicy aioli wasn't too spicy, but was a great add and the calamari felt really light despite being breaded. All the food was incredibly fresh and was presented beautifully as well. The service was also great - the bartender was attentive without being overbearing and the service was really quick. You could also see the sushi chefs prepping everything and see the fish displayed and all of it looked incredibly fresh (really gorgeous red tuna and perfect looking salmon - nothing looked at all gray or like it had been sitting out). The bar area and restaurant itself was beautiful too! Really awesome decor. Now for why I'm only giving it 3 stars (and I hate this, because the food really was awesome!). Maybe this is an indication I'm getting very old, but the music was LOUD. Like, really loud - I'm a fan of EDM, but this was super dubstep-y, deep, deep house and it just didn't fit the vibe of the restaurant at all. It was really difficult to hold a conversation - and I was there at 5:30 PM (maybe more indication I'm getting old). The drinks are also served in these MASSIVE glasses. It's a little gimmicky to be given a punchbowl of Sapporo (that also tasted flat). To me, it seemed to more make it seem like the cocktails were larger than they are and it just didn't do it for me. Overall, I wish I could separate out the food from the overall vibe, but they unfortunately go hand in hand. I would have stayed longer for more apps or sushi, but because of the extremely loud music that didn't really fit a sushi spot (and early o'clock as well), I wouldn't return especially since there are so many other great sushi options."

Water was refilled at a decent rate, albeit we had to ask a few times for it during both visits. The place felt decently clean and it was pretty busy both times so I would say it's pretty popular. The fish was very solid on terms of quality and the quantity of each order was standard - no skimping or stuffing rice either which is a common issue for most all you can eat spots. My family was excited to indulge in all you can eat sushi + sashimi for the evening. However, as we started putting orders in, we noticed some suspicious activity.1. The waiter sent out 4-5x more of the cheaper sushi options than we had ordered.2. The waiter sent out 0.01% of the "pricier" options (sashimi) that we had ordered, at a trickling pace slower than my morning commute. It took 1-2 hours for 8 pieces of sashimi to come out when our party of 10 ordered 30.3. Combine 1-2, the strategy was clearly "get the customer stuffed on the cheap stuff, so they don't eat the good stuff."Our waiter was not helping.1. He operated with lightning speed when taking orders and rarely visited us for follow-up. He also did not speak very clearly and would blame us for confusing him. It was all a show to get us out of there as fast as possible.2. We had brought a birthday cake, which our waiter had the audacity to ask if we were ready for after maybe 10 mins of cheap sushi eating.3. All of these shenanigans led to a pretty public argument between our party and management. So why is this 5 stars? After our complaint, our waiter brought out my birthday cake and generously sang happy birthday to us. He had lots of joy. We offered him and the staff some of the cake too. They were all happy and the general mood improved. It was as if World War II had ended and we were eating cake to celebrate. The ambiance became truly warm.Overall, we were scammed. Our time was wasted. The sushi was mediocre. Jennifer B. "I enjoyed the food and thought the prices were very reasonable. I was thrown off that my server didn't speak Korean though because it's my first Korean restaurant where I've experienced that lol but the cook is Korean. They had a lot of choose from and most of my traditional favorites. I would recommend if you're looking for a filling and delicious meal. It's also quiet if you need a break from the noise."

Eric D. "Another great place to escape from the work grind and grab some good eatin' on Moody if you're craving sushi and/or Korean. The front of the restaurant was just a plane Jane looking regular restaurant but as soon as you step in, it was pretty nice, roomy, and clean. My coworker had the beef bimpibap lunch special and I had the spicy maki lunch special. The sushi here was great--sushi rice was very moist and the spicy tuna was on point. No complaints. The bimbibap came out sizzzzzzling which made the meal so inviting. With the egg on top as well. My sushi maki just had no trade value. It was a tootsie roll going against the butterfinger bar on Halloween. I'll have to try the bimbibap next time! Restaurant had plenty of space to host their guest. Of course on Moody, bring your parallel parking chops with you or park in the city parking lots off streets.Cheers"
