"We came here for brunch on the weekend. I ordered the Flat Patty Burger. The burger patty was juicy and had so much flavor, and the french fries were delicious. This is one of the best meals we had in Boston! I can't recommend this place enough!"
"This place has great bar food and quick drinks! The bartenders were fast and the food was great. It's a great spot for a small bite to eat and some drinks with friends. It was fairly close to our hotel and I élèverez this spot from the last time I was here. Great spot!"

"Wow! Simply amazing!! I don't think this is my first time eating Caribbean cuisine, but it has certainly been awhile! And I've only found out about this place on Yelp, so go Yelp!! The food was simply amazing! I've ordered takeout twice, and both didn't disappoint! My go-to will have to be the fried pork. I will need to come back on other days to try other items on the menu! Love the rotational menu! Absolutely genius idea because I will be back again soon. The portion is generous and also filling. It may seem moderate when you first take out of the box, but it gets you full very quickly. The first time I ordered a bunch of sides and it was just too much. The second time I sticker with the entrees, there were still a lot of leftovers! The veggie soup was very delicious! Baked chicken was also amazing! There is free street parking right outside, so make it convenient to grab your to go order. Both times the packaging was great, except a small sauce packet leakage the second time around. No big deal. Highly recommend it you try via UberEats or takeout order. It's very small inside the restaurant. Definitely a hole in the wall type of establishment. I didn't even have enough time to look inside because my order was ready to go on the table, but I think there were a couple of small tables. It's definitely more about takeout. Support your local business! I don't think you can put in any orders on their website, but you can call to place your order or try UberEats or other platforms."
"Hunter's Kitchen is a true gem, offering an unparalleled experience in Southern comfort cuisine that deserves a 5-star rating for its food. The star of the show is undeniably Lambo's Gumbo, a flavor-packed delight that strikes the perfect balance of spice and heartiness. The combination of sausage and seafood in this gumbo is a culinary masterpiece, creating a comforting and soul-warming dish that leaves a lasting impression! I'm actually writing this review as I indulge in a bowl right now. It's the kind of meal that brings a smile to your face and warmth to your soul.Beyond the outstanding food, I love the concept of the cabin interior, which is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of Boston. The rustic charm and cozy atmosphere transport you to a different world, creating a dining experience that feels like a getaway. The attention to detail in the cabin decor adds to the overall ambiance, making it a perfect setting for indulging in comforting and flavorful Southern dishes. Why I couldn't give this place a 5-star rating is for the outrageous lines and wait times on Sunday. Even when the place is clearly not at capacity, there always is a wait..."
"I go to Comfort Kitchen for the vibes. I go when I want to connect and feel happy. Comfort Kitchen is where my community lives. I love the people who make it all happen.Fortunately for me, I'm in the neighborhood. It's easy to go for breakfast or lunch (no reservations) or to sit at the bar for dinner (also, no reservations needed for that). I'll plan a little ahead of time and make a reservation for dinner if I have a special occasion. The space is pretty small, but it's well organized. I actually feel better at the bar than at a table, but that's just me.The food and drinks are super unique. You won't easily find dishes and drinks like this anywhere else! My favorites are the okra and seasonal salad. I loved the duck the last time I went. What's surprising is that things that you'd normally think are meh are actually WOW at Comfort Kitchen. For example, the rice and olive oil that accompanied my duck blew my mind. Same for the okra and salad. But truly, while the food is good, I like the sense of community at Comfort Kitchen. The people who work there feel like friends and are so inviting to me. I like to go anytime I want to feel like I'm part of something."
"Small Italian restaurant with delicious food and great service. Highly recommended! Ravioli is great. Would definitely come back again."
"This is the perfect spot if you're looking for a quick lunch! It doesn't look particularly appealing from the outside, but it's cute inside. I would recommend taking your food to go, but they do have a few picnic tables outside. Most people just stood around waiting for their food to be ready during the lunch rush, but it didn't take too long. The sandwiches were pretty standard, as was the selection. I didn't get a chance to try any of their baked items, but they looked pretty good as well!"
"I was staying close by on a trip to Boston, and this place came highly recommended by a family member. We decided to check it out Sunday around noon and ended up doing take-out because the dine-in line was outrageously long, extending outside. We were able to pick up our food in less than 15 minutes. We tried the chick'n and waffles ($17), and the meatball sub ($17, made vegan with no additional cost) with fries (additional $2). The seitan chick'n was delicious and tender, perfect with the gravy, while the waffles were slightly sweet. There was a bit of inadvertent mixing of the gravy and syrup on the waffle which was a rather disgusting combination, but either one or the other on the waffle was excellent! The meatball sub had a smokey flavor which we didn't mind. The fries were a perfect texture of slightly crisp but still soft. While the food was amazing, I'd be interested in dining in to experience the ambiance as the diner looks quite cozy inside."
"Hidden gem in an Asian food hall inside Lesley college. I don't know why there was a line for another stall, this place sat me right away and I didn't have to wait long for the food was brought to my seat. Only a few tables but if you're dining solo, you can get a spot at the bar. I ordered by pointing at a picture in the menu. It ended up being a chili tomato chicken with lightly dressed salad, and little potato in tin foil. Meal comes with miso soup and bowl of rice. It was a perfect portion. Probably they prefer cash but take card, since that's all that I had. Server is super attending, kept my water filled and checking up on me."

What a great find this was for me. Just randomly saw this place during a Google search, viewed the menu, and away I went. Arrived a little before 8pm and easily found a seat at the bar. The bartender greeted me right away. I stayed away from the alcohol this night and asked if they brewed tea. I'm not sure if it's a Boston thing, but this is the 2nd place that only had "tea" out of the gun. We all know that's not real tea. So, I just stuck with a water. I opted for 3 smaller food items instead of going for a full entrée meal. I ordered the deviled eggs, chicken empanadas, and the corn & sausage chowder. Everything was excellent. I'm a snob when it comes to deviled eggs. Were they the best? No. But they had flavor. Could have used a little more mustard and could have been a tad more creamy. I would still recommend. The empanadas were what you would expect. Perfectly cooked. Great seasoning on the chicken and the accompanying sauces were just what it needed. And the soup? This was really good. The sausage had a small spicy kick. Typical corn chowder taste. My only complaint is that I would have preferred this soup to be thicker. It was very thin. But that did not take away from the overall flavor. The soup also comes with a warm bleu cheese biscuit, which was a perfect addition. This place does have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor would be perfect for a date night. I'm glad I took the chance on this place.

Do you ever walk into a place and you're like hell yes this is a dive, can't wait! And then you sit down and they have a full craft beer list and a delicious looking menu and you're like wait a second...and then the bartender is kinda gruff so you're like ok maybe it is a dive. But then that bartender ends up being super fucking cool and has great drink suggestions and beer suggestions and the other people sitting at the bar are super cool so you just want to sit and drink for a while and take it all in?That's this bar. It's super unassuming from the outside and then it's dark and moody and looks like you're in someone's basement in the inside. Just go and enjoy.

First time trying Haitian food - clearly our meals were cooked with love. The owner is welcoming and very friendly, portions were generous. Meatballs were huge hit. Pork and chicken very good. Each day of the week features different menu items - check on website.

Didn't know what kind of food to really expect because "southern" and wasn't sure what they were really known forOrdered drinks which were very strong but good. For app, ordered a side of sweet potato wedges and they were just alright. I'm not sure what kind of sauce it was served with like a mix of mustard and mayo? Turns out to be bourbon infused. Definitely not worth $8 though. Ordered chicken & dumpling and the brisket plate for 2. For Boston.. BBQ was better than all that I've had tbh and it comes with 2 sides. The chicken & dumpling my bf said wasn't good. It was super hot from the cast iron pot and she said it was super thin like chicken noodle soup whereas more of a thicker consistency than she was expecting like potato soup Service was quick and good. Not much lighting and a small bar. Overall, not but super expensive!

Delicious for both brunch menu and dinner menu!**Brunch Menu**Jerk Jackfruit Sliders: Dang, they made jackfruit taste meaty! These were delicious and hearty. Really pricy for what you get. The sliders are pretty small.Red Line: I think I liked this sandwich even better! The masala mayo was delicious, and nicely spicy. The brioche was perfectly toasted. Really fantastic.**Dinner Menu**Okra: This was... insanely overpriced. $14 for a few pieces of okra. I regret this dish most from our meal. It tasted decent, especially the sauce. Really not worth it though.Kelewele: On the other hand, this starter was amazing. Perfectly seasoned with a DELICIOUS hot sauce. The plantains were so good. This is a must order.Jerk Roasted Duck: This was my other favorite dish from dinner. Falling-off-the-bone tender. So flavorful. Every bite was just packed with flavor. You gotta try this.New Fish Curry: This dish was also very good. I loved the flatbread that came with it. Fish itself was decent.Yuca Fries: This one was okay. Not crispy enough. I like the ones at Gustazos better.Cacao + Blue Corn Cake: This dessert was also pretty good, but I wouldn't say it's a must-order.----Service was pretty slow for dinner. We went on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't particularly busy. Plenty of street parking outside.

One of the rare instances in which the service elevates the food. Judging only the dishes we got, I'd rank Bottega di Capri as closer to 3 stars but our waiter was so kind and grandfatherly and came by often with water refills/to see how we were doing. I can see why this place is popular in the neighborhood. Good for families, but if you're a large group, come here early. The space is small and they don't take reservations. By far the best things we ordered were the pastas - the seafood risotto and the linguine with scallops, clams, and shrimp. The risotto was fluffy and creamy and permeated with the briny seafood. Presentation was a little slapdash but the taste was undeniable. Overall, the prices were insanely affordable, almost pre-inflation levels - our seafood pastas were each less than $20. I wouldn't recommend the Caesar salad. Though the salad had wonderful, thick shavings of Parmesan, the dressing tasted store-bought. The house bread was also on the stale side. Don't skip the tiramisu. Not sure if they make it in house but it was one of the better iterations of the dessert I've had. Parking: Street options in front of the restaurant and a municipal lot one street over.

Farmer in the Dell is super cute! Unfortunately I was in a rush and couldn't get food but everything looked and smelled amazing. I got a large ice late for $4 and was really happy with the price. Hopefully I'll go back soon and try some of the bakery items - there was a lot to choose from and they all looked so good.

I missed Veggie Galaxy my first visit to Boston, however, I made up for it my second visit. The menu is amazing, the food is so good, and the dessert...I should have gotten two. A friend an I shared the buffalo potato skins, mac&cheese, went back for a breakfast burrito and dessert and thought about going back one more time. If you have a chance, the peanut butter pie was to die for. So good. Loved the diner feel and fun decor. Make this place a priority for sure!

"Food here is bomb. Only thing i wasn't a big fan of was the salmon/catfish. When i got it, it just wasn't worth it. But everything else i got is amazing. The sweet tea. The mac n cheese. The chicken. The steak. The food is made with love and made my black ppl so you know it's good. Come here if you wanna eat good!**just came back and had the brisket! AMAZING"
"Had an excellent dinner here this past week! We went on a rainy Saturday night and found it to be exceptionally busy with a long wait time. We found seats at the bar and were able to order drinks and food. Tried the burger and tenders which were great and very tasty as well as a cornbread skillet which was very good. Drinks were good as well. For some reason it took 30 minutes to get the check, but overall it was a good meal if a little bit uncomfortable. I would definitely go back at a slower time since they don't do reservations. Tough at times for a sit down dinner, but great spot for a drink and some solid food."
"This is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. I didn't know why it took me so long to try. It is small place for takeout only. They don't have a big book of menu items, but do cover most homemade dishes we would want for a family meal, from burgers, sandwiches, to pasta, salad, grilled steak/lamb/chicken. The price is reasonable and the portion is generous. Note you need to call one day ahead of time if you need a big meal to feed 4+ people. We tried cheeseburger, buffalo fingers, and homemade meatballs. The cheeseburger was delicious, an explosion of flavor at the first bite! The meatballs were well seasoned. The buffalo fingers looked dark and not attractive, but tasted surprisingly good. We were happy with our meal, and would come back again."
"Came here for dinner with a couple friends and really really enjoyed the food and ambience. The place was hopping and very noisy by the bar, but we were seated on the far wall and could hear each other fine. We ordered fattoush salad (amazing - asked for more lemon dressing, which took it over the top delicious), brussels (very good), scallops with elote risotto (super delish), and chilean sea bass with gnocchi - mmmmm. Portions were generous enough (not huge, but definitely not tiny) that 3 of us were totally satisfied. Waiter was also very fun and nice. So overall had a great experience and highly recommend!"
"Came here for a friends birthday and was pleasantly surprised! Service was very good, they did accidentally bring out a few dishes to our table instead of others but no harm no foul. Food was great, we especially loved the popovers and fries. For a restaurant under an apartment, definitely surpassed expectations!"
"Victoria was very sweet to seat us even though we had reserved a table at a neighboring A&B by mistake...Great food, very attentive wait staff made this an excellent pre-Celtic game meal!French onion soup, amazing burgers and incredible pretzel bites made sure we were ready to cheer on Jason Tatum and the Celts!"
"Was looking for a Boston Market-type meal, and that's the vibe we got here with the rotisserie chicken family meal: full chicken (cut into quarters for transport), 4 cornbread muffins, choice of 3 sides, and gravy for a very reasonable $43. The flavor and moistness of the chicken were solid, and the sides were a good size with lots to choose from. Worth mentioning that I found the dominant flavor of the gravy, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese to all be black pepper, which isn't my personal favorite and also got a bit repetitive- but if that's your jam, you'll enjoy. The cornbread was pretty meh, but was serviceable to soak up the gravy, and the glazed carrots were fine and not memorable (was nice to have a non-peppery side to cut through the rest, though)."
"Had an excellent dinner at this spot located right off the assembly row stop near the T. The vibes were good and staff very friendly. I tried pretzels with cheese which had the cheese dip heated by a candle which was neat. Tried their chicken sandwich and for dessert the skillet cookie and ice cream. Huge amount of food for an excellent price. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place for a casual dinner and drinks"
"Had the Honey Lemon Pepper Wings...they were AMAZING! One of the best flavored wing I've had"
"I really enjoy the crepes at the little window, but the whole little window and general littleness of the place kind of detract from the experience. It's great to go here if you have a bunch of time to spare (everything is made to order), it's nice outside (the only available seating is outside, next to the little window), and you don't mind paying the high prices (a crepe is around $7-8). However, the quality is very good. I've never been disappointed with the crepes I've ordered here, especially since you can choose the ingredients you'd like them to include. You have to kind of hit things right to have a really great little window experience: they have to be running quick and not crowded, there has to be a seat available outside, etc, but it can be done with a little luck. If you're not so lucky, I suggest you call well in advance to order your food, go pick it up at the window, and take it back to enjoy in your home or office."
"MAKE RESERVATIONS! Very good experience! Came here within an hour of seeing The Nutcracker down the street, got a table for 3 and had some yummy wine and apps. Service was EXCELLENT and FAST especially for a busy night!"
"Round 2 featuring some new and different menu items, as well as a takeaway order! We have: funwari age tofu ($13), roasted sesame mazeman ($16), peanut mazeman ($16), black miso ramen ($17), tonkotsu ramen ($17), and hellfire broth ($4.50).We all decided to try the non-hellfire broth menu items with a hellfire broth on the side for sipping, which I highly recommend for intermittent spice. The two broth ramens were both rich. I would argue that the tonkotsu ramen wasn't as rich as the Doragon hellfire version, but still quite flavorful. The real stars of the show here are the mazeman dishes and the aged tofu. The aged tofu is made with fish paste -- gives it this very seafood-like flavor -- and is fried perfectly crisp, making it an underrated app. Would highly recommend a little chili in the soy sauce used for dipping and it's perfect. The peanut mazeman is very heavy on peanut flavor, but if you like a sweeter, nuttier sauce that's got punches of curry, then it's an amazing dish! I personally loved the newer mazeman, the roasted sesame, because it's a little more savory and spicy with some mild sweetness from the sesame seeds. Both are definitely must try items if you're not feeling broth!Service as always was great and this spot still offers a small seating area but wonderfully upbeat music to help with general vibes while munching on ramen or finger foods. Still highly recommend!"
