"Hotpot One offers all you can eat hotpot, with options to get no meat all you can eat (vegetables, fish balls, noodles, etc) or all you can eat, which includes meats and everything else. There are a couple meats that aren't including in the all you can eat and have an additional fee, ribeye and lamb. Hotpot One was a great experience and is similar to Spring Shabu in Allston/Brighton! In some ways, this place is better than Spring Shabu, such as the all you can eat meats option. The variety offered for vegetables and noodles are not as great as Spring Shabu, but gets the job done. The have a nice sauce bar that has just about all of the condiments most other hotpot places offer. The star of the show, for me, was the clams! They were huge and continued to be consistent in size after ordering 4 rounds of the clams. For the price of the AYCE, I would say that it is super worth it to come here, with family or a big group, or even by yourself. P.S., I would double check the receipt when asking for the bill because they did make a mistake with charging extra additional charges. We had ordered four plates of the lamb and ribeyes but were charged extra for other things. My friends who I came here with have eaten here multiple times previously and said they experience the extra charges every time, so I would suggest double checking the bill before paying! Otherwise, I totally recommend coming here for the AYCE! Super similar to that of Spring Shabu but is convenient to have in the Quincy area."
"Thank you Yelp for guiding me here! What a great find! I wanted to find a restaurant with ample seating, parking, and not fast casual. This restaurant appears to hit all the marks! Its interior is beautiful, the menu is interesting, and the food was great! There is paid metered parking in front of the restaurant. The maximum parking is 3 hours. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. The signature dish is the lamb hot pot, which is great. They can refill your broth, which is nice. Service was great. They do have an 18% automatic service charge added to parties of 5+. I came during off-peak hours, so the restaurant wasn't busy. The indoor air quality was great, since it wasn't crowded. Looking forward to visiting again when I'm back in the neighborhood!"

"Bess's Cafe is a hidden gem. The Jiang-Nan style noodles and small plates all give me extreme nostalgia with every dish giving off a homemade/homecooked authentic taste. Ugh, it was all divine. To start The Boy and I got the Cucumber Salad and Pork & Chive Dumplings. Loved the cucumber salad - seasoned perfectly, not missing a single flavor. The Dumplings are steamed and for $6 you get about 8 sizable dumplings (not stringy small ones that some restaurants give).I got the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup for my entree. It definitely was not spicy but I still enjoyed the sweet, savory broth - yes their beef noodle soup broth leans toward the sweet side. The soft-boiled egg was perfect and I felt it came with plenty of beef slices. I had no problem with the $12 price point of this bowl. The Boy ordered the Crispy Chicken Scallion Pancake Wrap for his main and he absolutely loved it. The pancake was crisped to perfection and the chicken equally crispy! He ate this in a jiffy. At the end of the day it was ~$32 for the two of us which I would happily pay again."
"I can't speak for their ramen, but if you're going to dine at a Yunnan Noodle place, you have to try their Yunnan-style noodle soups!! I was bedridden with COVID, and the only thing I wanted was chicken noodle soup. I could not have been more ecstatic that Wen's was still open at 9pm on a Sunday. I ordered on an app and less than 30 min later, was slurping down their Chicken Yunnan Rice Noodle Soup! The rice noodles were supple and slippery. The bowl was packed with thinly sliced chicken, scallions, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and salted bamboo. I opted for extra bean curd skin as my add-on. My favorite part though had to be the broth. It was soo rich and flavorful. I was surprised that the broth continued to be piping hot despite the travel time from restaurant to apartment. For someone who was heavily congested, that broth tasted like liquid gold. I can only imagine how it might taste when I'm not sick. Thanks so much, Wen's, for soothing my soul and helping me perk up if only for just a meal."
"Prepare to sweat for Ten Second Noodle House! This is small Chinese noodle shop that serves piping hot noodle soups. The restaurant is small but not crowded at all! This is a hidden gem in Allston that could be the next big thing. We ordered the popcorn chicken as an appetizer and it was very juicy. I wish the exterior is a little more crispier but it is still crispy enough to get the crunch we are still looking for. For entrees I got the pork-chop noodles and my gf got the tomato noodles. They both came to our table pipping hot for us to enjoy. The portions of the noodles are and soup are amazing. The porkchop is the size of my face. The tomato's broth is sweet and hardy. Definitely would come back again!"
"This is my go-to Americanized Chinese food spot. I I only do take-out as it's a very small business with like 2 or 3 tables. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes for it to be ready. I always get the pork or shrimp fried rice, pupu platter for 1 (but can easily feed 2-3 people) and the lobster sauce all for about $33! I split it between myself and 1 other person and we always have generous leftovers for ourselves later!"
"Ordered Uber Eats from this spot for late night dinner. Pretty thankful that they were open this late as options are pretty limited after 10PM.I ordered the Mala Pot w Lamb ($26), which is rare to find available at a typical Chinese restaurant. Got it mild as I wasn't trying to kill myself late at night. Great portion, great variety of ingredients, and tasted great."
"They do carry an authentic Sichuan menu, in addition to your regular American Chinese dishes. I was kinda surprised to find this place - their bamboo stew, sticky rice, and fish dishes are all decent. Would return and highly recommended!"
"For a quick lunch, I returned to Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles and ordered the Pickled Fish Rice Noodle / 酸菜魚米線 ($13.95). Despite the incomplete translation, it does not contain pickled fish; it contains tilapia fillet chunk and pickled mustard leaf. The broth was incredibly rich, with a decent fish broth base accentuated by a nice acidity without being acrimonious. The rice noodle also possessed a decent spring without being overly cooked, considering that the rice noodle came in a separate bowl to put into the main dish upon serving.Annoying enough, since the restaurant seemed almost full, the wait staff seemed busy. The hot stone bowl that should have rendered the soup sizzling and just off boil was not. The soup was still decently hot, but what's the point of using a stone bowl if the dish doesn't come out piping hot? While the dish still tasted delicious, this to me separates this 4* experience from my previous 5*."
"Although the place looks unpresuming and plain and without any music in the background, the food was quite delicious and authentic in flavor! Growing up in a Chinese family, I frequented Chinese restaurants, and Beijing cafe has many classic, familiar authentic dishes available. The food here reminded me of the fond memories of food from my childhood. The steamed dumplings were cooked to the perfect texture, the filling not too salty, while the millet soup was simple, in a good way that balanced the savory flavors from the veggies and protein much like plain white rice would. The vegetable dishes were about $13 each so things can add up fairly quickly. Overall, it was a delicious quick meal that reminded me of my mom's cooking. Would definitely be back for more if I am in the area."
"This restaurant was really busy on Sunday night. People lined up for seats.I grabbed to-go and I'm glad I took the recommendation to try the black pepper beef. I really liked the beef with long stream beans - tender meat and crispy beans just the way I like it. The stirfry was served on top of a generous amount of rice.Generally, great value and fast preparation . It looks like a good spot for individuals who want to grab a fast bite, as well as groups of friends to experience the authentic vibe and share dishes. I heard good words about the seafood as well. I might try next time."
"I love this restaurant and bar. One of my favorite places to watch football and have a good strong drink. And did I mention they have a jukebox? With Covid I have been ordering takeout. It has lost some of it's quality and my stomach has taken a beating. But will be back at the bar as soon as it reopens. The take out is super fast if you need something quick. Big portions as well."

A new AYCE hotpot in North Quincy. It's clean and spacious and $23 weekdays and $25 weekend per person. Price includes broth and everything at the bar (mainly veggies, noodles, seafood/beef balls). Extra cost if you want to add meats and seafood. Our server was very nice and they even have cute robots to deliver your broth and meats. I ordered the spicy soup broth and it was spicy so just be cautious on the spice level. We ordered ribeye and beef belly but we preferred beef belly over ribeye. We left smelling like hotpot but we were very full and happy! Will definitely go back again.

This place was excellent! Every dish had an extra pop of flavor that made them stand out, in addition to a baseline smoky flavor. The dishes were shareable and overall price point was not bad for this quality! The decor and ambience were on point and service was lovely. This place hits all the marks and is worth returning - if only street parking were easier to find!

My friend and I went here recently for dinner. It was a small place with about 6 tables. We ordered the pork & chive dumplings, crispy chicken steamed buns, crispy scallion pancake beef wrap, and dan dan noodles. The crispy chicken steamed buns came in a set of 2. They were really delicious and the chicken was not dry. The crispy scallion pancake beef wrap was one big wrap cut into two pieces. I really liked this wrap as well, less the cilantro. The steamed dumplings and dan dan noodles were cooked al dente which was very good. The dumplings still had soup in them. Nice! The dan dan noodles were more like Peking noodles and had more meat than I expected. I was expecting it to be a bit more spicy as well.Hope to come back and try other things next time!

Ordering is done via QR code directly to the kitchen, but you pay at the end via the server. Our food came out extremely fast - maybe in 2-3 minutes after ordering. We had the Beef Rice Noodle and the Beef Flank Rice Noodle. Portion sizes were very large. I loved the rich flavour of the broth - definitely much better than some other rice noodle restaurants I've been to in the area. The beef slices (shreds?) were very well-cooked - juicy and not too chewy - and the beef flank, too, had a wonderful rich flavour. I really liked the veggies in the soup as well - generous helpings and paired very nicely with the broth and noodles.Overall a very good lunch and I would love to come again soon! They have a lot of different noodle options and I'd love to try something else next time.

Just like their name, I got my food so quickly! A large stone bowl of rice noodles in heart warming broths for $12-15 is amazing‼ I loved trying this noodle spot on a cold day because the soups really warmed me up this winter. While I enjoyed the pork chop rice noodle's lighter broth, the kimchi beef rice noodle had the perfect balance of beef and spicy flavor for my preferenceTwo skewers for $3 was also a steal too! The skewers all had the same spicy seasoning and I enjoyed the fish tofu skewers the mostIf you're in Chinatown and are craving some warm soup and noodles that taste like home, this is your spot!

Apotheosis of take out deliciousness. Everything hits right. General gao's chicken + fried rice combo is my favorite. Also love the Chinese garden vegetables and crab Rangoon. Throw em all into a bowl together for good measure

Pretty solid place for dumplings, but also some Taiwanese dishes like beef noodle soup or pork chops with noodles or fried rice. The pot stickers could be a little crunchier, but I guess they aren't using the authentic sewer oil from the streets of China. The prices are pretty reasonable at about 15 dollars a dish. Check to see if they do dine in so you can get the food fresh. PS. I think the upside down crab needs help.

Authentic northern Chinese cuisine! I live 20 miles away but it's totally worth the drive up here. This place may look like a hole in the wall but it's actually a gem. Dining-in doesn't really give you a nicer experience compare to takeout, as the food are all in togo containers. Service is limited, and you will have to pay upfront right after ordering from the counter. But this doesn't impact the joy of eating the authentic food! P.S. please don't order from the American Chinese menu... it's like you going into a lobster store and only ordered some fries...

"Fantastic first time experience at The Q. We made reservations on Opentable and arrived a few minutes early. The place was hopping but we were able to be seated within 10 minutes. We had a party of 5 and got a nice corner booth at the front of the restaurant. The service was excellent with food coming to the table within minutes and our water glasses topped off every few minutes. The food was outstanding. We had kimchi, a paradise sushi roll and beef tongue for appetizers. For entrees we had more sushi, beef noodle soup, general guas chicken, kung pao chicken, and a mala soup. Hands down the best dining experience we had in Boston."
"Hong Kong Dragon makes awesome drinksHong Kong Dragons appetizers are fantasticHong Kong Dragons portions are on the larger sideParking is limited street parking onlyThe staff is pleasant polite and willing to assist youThe facility is clean and tidyPricing is average for a local Chinese restaurantThis is a great little local Chinese restaurantI give Hong Kong dragon a solid five stars"
"Saw a lot of good reviews from fellow Yelpers, Gaga Seafood did not disappoint a single bit. It's an very authentic Chinese (Cantonese style) restaurant, all servers spoke Cantonese including the lady boss, and all other customers around us were Cantonese speaking too, and they all seemed to be returning customers for multiple times already, a good sign of how good this place is! The restaurant is slightly on the small size with tables pretty closed together, but there seems to be additional seating area in the next room down the hallway at the back.Lobster with Ginger and Scallion: AVery tasty! The flavor of ginger and scallion were fully absorbed by the lobster meat, we ordered two medium size lobsters for three people which was perfect, the price was very reasonable too at $45.Braised Lamb with Bean Curd: A-Please ask for bean curd sauce and dipping the lamb with it further enhanced the flavor of this dish. Wish they added mushroom to it too as it's one of the key ingredients of this classic Cantonese dish.Steamed Chicken: ASo tasty! Very tender and juicy chicken meat even the white meat.Choi Sum: A-The vegetables was fresh, stir fry with garlic at the right amount of time.If I were to live in Boston I'm sure I would go to this place every week, even coming from California with lots of good Chinese food, I would consider this place as top notch, highly recommended!"
"This is a really solid place to come to for hot pot. We usually get the house broth and the spicy broth, which is really flavorful. It's all you can eat, so you can check off whatever you want and they'll bring it to the table. I usually get a couple kinds of steak, crab legs, shrimp, salmon, white fish, quail eggs, an assortment of veggies (bok choy, chinese broccoli, mushrooms, etc), and white rice. They have MANY more offerings, but that's just what I usually go with. You can ask for more sheets to get more whenever you want, which is great. I definitely recommend Hot Pot Buffet as a tasty, inexpensive all-you-can-eat option."
"Positively the worst takeout order I have ever had in my life! I ordered the tofu pad thai but it bore no resemblance whatsoever to this menu description. Just some noodles with lots and lots of onions. Absolutely horrible."
"By far the best Chinese restaurant in and around Boston! I was giving up on the Boston food scene until I found this gem during my last week in the city. Brought my Chinese parents who came to visit from Canada and everyone loved it.My favorite dish was the mouth-watering chicken. So tender, juicy and flavorful. But careful, it's pretty spicy (like must Hunan food)! The pumpkin cakes are great too. The pig feet meeeelts in your mouth. The stir fry pea shoots could have used more garlic, but was still fresh and enjoyable. The price is reasonable for Boston standards and the portions are big. The atmosphere and decorations are great. Service is fast. I will definitely return on my next visit to Boston."
"I door dashed. Came hot and fresh and on time. The chicken teriyaki was excellent. Not too saucy great size pieces. Ordered white rice. Small container. Ordered 2 portions of Tuna maki. It was fresh, nicely presented and very tasty. Also had miso soup large size. Very tasty. Nice cubes of tofu and seaweed. If I lived here i'd. order again."
"Love there food . Had a pu up platter . And shrimp fried rice which was delicious. I enjoyed there food"
"Don't be fooled by the staid interior and lack of in-person diners in this local Asian establishment. This restaurant, serving mostly Szechuan Chinese dishes, is a real treat in the Belmont Center district.Walking in, you're greeted by ... 2 large screens. Yes! There are not many people at the register. The screens let you choose a variety of dishes, from hot noodle soups to more traditional entrees to cold dishes. It's a bit disorienting not to have more human presence, but I guess that's just the way they run things. The dishes themselves were often top notch. The homemade pork and chive dumplings were often a bit too tough on the skins, but you could tell that they were homemade. The hot and sour beef noodle soup with glass noodle was as advertised a nice mix of hot and sour; they noodle itself was chewy, not too mushy soft, and not too tough as to render it inedible. The peanuts were crispy and really nice. The wood ear added some nice textures, and the soup itself was flavorful. I would have limited the amount of oil in the soup. The XLB (Xiao Long Bao) was really good - might be the best in the Boston area (not a town known for its XLB)! The skins were relatively thin and the soup inside really hot. Too bad there weren't ginger strips to accompanying the useful vinegary sauce. The Hand-pulled Biang biang noodle with spicy cumin lamb was quite good as well. The dish could have been presented with a bit more finesse; the lamb bits were all mixed in with the noodle, and the noodle itself was a bit thick. But the flavoring was excellent and many of the lamb pieces were rendered tenderly. The baby bok choy with tofu skin was definitely stir-fried in a lot of oil! They were really yummy, but I felt they got that nice crispy veggie effect by using a lot of oil. This environs presents something of a conundrum ... who's the market? It looks way too casual for the prices to be located in the low 10s / high 10s range (dishes were served entirely in plastic containers). But the quality of food is on par (and in some cases better) than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. But those restaurants are usually conceived of as carpeted dine-in / service places. If indeed the establishment is looking to create a casual dining experience in the Belmont area, then maybe it should remove some of the more usual shared entree type dishes on the menu (e.g. hot oil spicy fish, the famous Szechuan dish). But again, who are the expected patrons here? If they do want to have a sit-down place, make the chairs somewhat nicer (and maybe brighten up the place).Service was really quick.Looking forward to seeing this place do well!"
"This place is a bit off of the main China town blocks and the appearance is very unassuming from the outside. That probably explains the fact that this gem is seriously under appreciated. I've been to several of the Boston China town spots considered to be the best and Su Su gives any of them a serious run for its money. The dishes are more regionally specific than the standard American Chinese restaurant, so it helped to go with some Cantonese friends. Still I think anyone who likes Chinese food would absolutely appreciate the amazing noodles, dumplings, garlic fried veggies, etc. I also recommend venturing out a bit and trying the clay pot rice, rice noodle rolls, and even the porridge: I did not expect them to be as great as they are! The food can take a while and the restaurant can be awfully crowded and cramped. Still, I think it's one of the best, most unique and authentic Chinese food experiences in Boston. A must try!"
"5 stars for amazing Chinese food! They do an amazing job with both American Chinese food and also authentic sezchuan. I have eaten here once and then ordered delivery and was amazingly pleased both times.First of all Amy, who works there and answers the phone is so sweet and friendly when you order takeout. She was so helpful with my questions and tried her best to advise. When I went to eat there I am guessing maybe she was there because my dine in experience with service was amazing also.I highly recommend the spicy chicken with cabbage and shredded beef with green chili peppers with you like spicy food. Crab rangoons and chicken fingers are tasty and crispy and come out hot. Fried rice is great. Shredded beef with string beans is great also."
"I had food delivered from Golden Temple today. I was in a bit anxious because some of the most recent reviews have not been great. I got the fried shrimp the boneless ribs and lobster sauce along with your chicken tenders which I like to put in the lobster sauce everything was excellent. The food was well packaged, I still think the lobster sauce is the best with a nice garlic flavor the fried shrimp or the boneless happy meal"
"A no-nonsense Chinese takeaway place. I ordered a large Vegetable Lo Mein. I was not disappointed at all. Great taste, and good quantity."
"I was really excited about this restaurant especially since it promised authentic Chinese food and they really delivered! I don't read Chinese and the menu didn't have photos so we were a little lost and had no idea where to start. The waiter was really patient with us and was able to describe pretty much everything on the menu.We ended up getting the SFR spicy bowl where you can add different types of meats and veggies for additional costs. We got beef, sprouts, and enoki (the stringy long mushrooms) which were all good choices, but I wish we had gotten more filling like another meat choice and potatoes since there was so much sauce. I usually can't handle spiciness, but this bowl was hot but not extremely spicy like the waiter described. We also got rice in soup and legend tofu which both had milder tastes but both smooth and delicious as well. Other people in the restaurant (we came Wednesday and there were a good amount of people there considering it had just opened early March) ordered the dry pots which range between $27-29 and they're huge! They could probably feed about 3-4 people or 2 people with enough for leftovers. It looked like a mixed of veggies and meats (they offered squid, chicken, and rib) so I'd really like to try that next time. The place itself has 2-3 sections but seats a good amount of people, maybe about 50. Really good location in Allston around many other restaurants too."
"Got a sweet and sour chicken lunch special with boneless spareribs. The chicken fingers were delicious, soft, light and fluffy inside a lightly crisp shell. The spare ribs were just the way I like them, not too fatty. The rice was underwhelming but I'd still come back here for the spare ribs alone."
"*This review is regarding a delivery order This New York transplants search for decent Chinese food continues! I don't know why I moved to Massachusetts if I was going to be so picky about the food, but alas...I went looking Sweet and Sour chicken up to my NY standards and China Sky did not disappoint. ~Food~Full disclosure --- I stick to the same three things when I get Chinese: 1-Sweet and sour chicken, 2-Sesame chicken 3-Egg rolls. This review will be for sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls. (check out my review on Peppercorn house for amazing sesame chicken) They are good...not great but good. Someone less picky than me would likely give them five stars but I'm giving four because I've had better (both in NY and MA). What I really like though, is that they are consistency. While it isn't the best Chinese food I've ever had, I can trust that its always going to taste like I expect it to. There are other Chinese spots I enjoy more but every now and then they have a very off night. China Sky always seems to be on their A game! ~Price~I would say there are right in the middle price range of what one would expect from Chinese takeout in the area. They might even be a little cheaper."
"What an amazing addition to the Chinese food scene to an already stacked Brookline neighborhood. Northeast Eating club specializes in dishes from the north east region of China with some other staple dishes found in other regions of China. The service was excellent to start off as they got us quickly seated at a clean table during a busy dinner service. Our table ordered multiple dishes including pig ears, Dongbei Guo bao ruo (crispy sweet and sour pork), and assorted veggies with egg plant. The pork dish was definitely the star of the show. Crispy yet juicy, tangy yet sweet. Absolutely delicious meat dish that everyone should try. Come check out the modern ambiance of North East Eating Club"
"I have passed by this place maybe 1000 times before someone told me they tried it before and I finally decided to go in. I'll be honest it doesn't look like much from the outside, actually the decor itself is kinda dated but the service is good, the food is pretty good too. At this point I've been several times. They have several options for lobster (the Thai is by far my favorite). The Lulu platter and general tso chicken is good too. The drinks come out fast and they're pretty good reasonably priced too. Overall there are a ton of negative reviews but this place isn't half bad, the portions are big, it's not 5 star but for value I like it."
"I'll start by saying it's a good thing I don't live close to this place, or I would be spending waaaaay too much money here. Great food, great drinks, great vibe. Safe to say this will be my new go-to Sichuan spot. I've heard rave reviews of Blossom Bar as long as I've lived in Boston, but finally made it over here for a group dinner on a Thursday evening. I'm happy to say it lived up to the hype. Warning that even on a weeknight, the place was packed (bar included) so I'd recommend a reservation. The cocktail list is extensive with lots of unique flavors and combinations, our waiter was super helpful in recommending some of the most popular options when people had a hard time picking. Everyone ordered a couple rounds so we tasted a number of them, but our favorites included the Luluada, Broken Spanish (my personal fave - a little spicy with avocado and coconut to balance it out), and Malatang. As far as the food goes, you'll definitely want to share with the table so you can sample a little bit of everything. There isn't one thing that we tried that I wouldn't order again--it's truly that good. The menu features what they call "O.G recipes" and "American Comfort" options, so there's definitely something for everyone. Some of my can't miss recommendations: the Prosperity Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles, Pork Dumplings with Chili Vinaigrette, Chong Qing Dry Hot Chicken, and Eggplant with Spicy Garlic Sauce. Can't wait for my next visit to explore the rest of the menu. I'm planning to either order more food, or bring less friends because I certainly wouldn't mind some leftovers next time around :)"
"Came here with a group of 4 and no wait time! We were seated immediately. Good: - Good value for the food, large portions and fast service times- Loved the beef rolls, they were crispy and if you like scallion pancakes, there was one wrapped around the meat - The mapo tofu was good, not too spicy either - Tons of variety on the menu- Relatively quiet interior so you can talk a lot Bad: - You have to speak Chinese to get the best service here Overall this place was authentic Chinese food and Chinese parents liked it, so I think that's a rare win!"
"I definitely have to update my review after going here a few more times. They are family owned and I love the fact that they don't deliver it lessens the pressure of having to make food faster and they take their time with every meal I wouldn't change going here for my go-to Chinese place"
"Heard great things about this place so decided to try it for lunch. I ordered online and order was ready earlier than the original pick up time. Great if you need something quick!Hand-Pulled Noodles with Pork (half spicy) - it wasn't super spicy. The noodles were a little thick and stuck together. The pork seemed like it was boiled and just put on top instead of stir frying with the noodles. Because it had no flavor.I've heard great things about the lamb so I'd definitely try their cumin lamb next time."
"My family loves doing take out from Shaanxi Gourmet. We often order the good pomfret in brown sauce fish dish, shredded potato, and veggie delight. We've never dined in before so we thought we'd give it a try this time, and we had a great experience! The restaurant is quite big and there's plenty of seating. Customer service was excellent. We also tried a new dish - the pork dumplings. It was delicious and it's probably my favorite dish at Shaanxi Gourmet! They give free dessert (taro pudding so the tapioca) - it's delicious! Overall rating: 10/10"
