"Don't you even think about letting the outside affect your inclination to immediately visit My Thai Vegan Cafe. Located up some questionable stairs on the second floor of a non-descript building in Chinatown, this unassuming vegan establishment is worth MANY visits.-Ambiance: what one would expect for a small, local business that places emphasis on the food, not the extras. That said, very comfy with a great view (because second floor).-Staff: friendly, welcoming, forthcoming with trustworthy recommendations.-Food: yes yes yes. Oh yes. EVERYTHING is vegan. EVERYTHING. As such, one can order vegan shrimp, vegan beef, vegan chicken, vegan duck, vegan pork, vegan veal, tofu, seitan, and bubble tea made with plant based milk. And we did. The steamed dumplings are packed with vegan chicken and veggies, beautifully seasoned, and accompanied by not ONE but TWO delicious dipping sauces. The Pad See Ew Plus (plus means you get multiple vegan proteins - definitely do this) was prepared expertly. I could have used a bit more sauce, but otherwise it was perfect. My dining companion raved about her yellow curry noodle soup; I tried a bite and it took most of my willpower not to steal it from her.-Value: excellent. For delicious, vegan, Thai food in Boston, absolutely worth it.I'm considering making many trips back to Boston with the sole purpose of trying many more dishes. You probably should too."
"Wow, Coco Leaf has changed a lot, since the last time I've seen them. The newest installations they have are the cute Instagram-esque backdrop with neon lights and the Buddha corner with comfy chairs. -- Totally the vibe. They serve the same amazing food fare that I love and enjoy. I always get the spicy garlic popcorn chicken and sweet potato fries. Both are delicious and not fatty. Their dipping sauces (I believe it's ketchup mayo) are delicious and a must have!"

"Absolutely loved this place! I came on a weeknight and it was pretty busy, so be warned. They have a decent amount of seating, but since the shop is located in a nice area, you could always take it to go, maybe even to the rose garden nearby. So many fun choices for ice cream. We decided we wanted to try all 4 main flavors so we got swirls for both! Everything was delicious, including the cones. Highly recommend stopping by if you're into matcha or hojicha!"
"Some of the freshest crispy chicken put into a sandwich and this is it! The chicken does seriously remind me of the KFC chicken you find in China. It really takes you down a nostalgic memory if you've ever had KFC in China. Overall, the chicken sandiwch is really up there with some of the best I've had!! Just so juicy and crispy on the outside. The barbecue wings were just okay, but the fries were really good - potato-y on the inside and crispy shelled. In addition, I thought the cute cartoon with the moon face and flower in hand was super cute and a nice touch to their bags and packaging. It felt really nice and cute to unwrap my sandwich from a small bag with that cartoon. I will certainly be back often for more chicken sandwiches!!"
"I ordered from here on a recent trip to Boston. My meal was exactly what I was looking for. If I had a headline for this restaurant I would say, " More a take out place." There are several fried rices on the menu and I ordered one of those. It was A-OK. I had the rice with Taiwan sausage and it tasted like Chinese BBQ Pork. Everyone was very friendly and I received quick service. I would order here again."
"I wanted something quick to eat and this place was it! There is no indoor seating and is just a to-go place. I love bahn mi and I ended up getting #3, fancy pork (idk what that means) & pork belly. The sandwich itself was really good and the meats were perfect. I came in the evening and I like that the bread was still fresh and not stale."
"I've been to this boba spot twice during my visits. I've gotten lucky and gotten myself some tasty drinks. The Vietnamese coffee is hella strong and sweet, would have liked it less strong. My husband's lychee green tea was super duper sweet, I don't think he adjusted the sweetness. I LOVED the jasmine green milk tea, I swapped out for oat milk, boba was perfect. You can skip the dragonfruit smoothie, my sister said it was way too sweet, too much condensed milk and coconut. Also very expensive boba drinks IMO, like $7-8 before tax and tip... wow! Super nice interior, could totally be a cute hangout spot."

Wow! Talk about a hidden gem.5 stars are easily deserved. We got the bubble tea which tastes strongly of coconut, and three dishes including the fresh rolls. Each bite was excellent. It was much lighter and fresher tasting than traditional non-vegan spots. I loved it.Service is fast and personable. I went with someone gluten free and they knew exactly what menu items she could have, there were an abundance.Ambience is that of a normal restaurant which pretty decent views, you just have to walk up the stairs! Makes it cooler imo.I cannot wait to be back.

Coco Leaf is a gem, located in Dorchester's Field Corner neighborhood, on Dorchester Ave. They have been around for years now and I swing by here for a mango passionfruit smoothie every now and then. For $7 a smoothie, I used to think it was extremely pricey... but nowadays most places sell their drinks for around this price. The mango passionfruit smoothie from here is worth getting though. I get it every time and am never disappointed. I have noticed that the cup sizes have gotten smaller but it is what it is.

Love this place if we are in the area, usually end up having to double park as an actual parking spot seems pretty hard to find but a handful of spots at the beginning of the block. The service is always quick, staff is nice and we tend to lean toward matcha waffle cones with Ube ice cream and different toppings each time. Condensed milk alone when I'm feeling simple or add some fruity cereal or mochi bits when i want some more depth. Very refreshing on a hot day. I couldn't find my photos too many to scroll back thru but will update again if i find them. There's seating inside, bathroom with lock code you can get from the staff and overall clean spot!

If you can't decide what to get, always get their wings. Those are consistently crispy, juicy, and have just the right amount of spice. You can pass on their whole fried chicken and popcorn chicken tho - they're both fun to try at least once, but their wings are much better. Everything is made to order so you should expect a bit of a wait. This location is a lot bigger than their Chinatown store - definitely a solid place to come with friends!

Maybe its just not for me? Teriyaki chicken seemed the same as any given mall food court teriyaki. Overcooked dry chicken. Generic flavor. Salty. Meh. One-and-done.

Small hole in the wall.Crispy and delicious fried crispy rolls.Excellent fresh banh mi.Spring rolls are fresh.Venue is insanely dirty, which makes this place the real deal. Hidden gem in Chinatown you don't want to miss. No seating so take it and go. It gets busy.

"My new favorite cafe the matcha jasmine latte was incredible - what a unique combination. And the fresh mango with the coconut jelly is so light and refreshing. Not too sweet too. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Also the coconut jelly comes in the cutest glass jar"
"I was craving some boba and this place wasn't too far from my hotel. I'm so sad I was too full to have their food because I would have love to try it."
"I ordered the chicken teriyaki for delivery and was surprised by the large generous portions. Plenty of food for two servings. The chicken was very good and everything arrived hot. For sure would order again from this restaurant."
"Cute and fresh! Inside is clean, nicely decorated with a greenery wall and flower wall (cute photos opps lol). I had the Mix fruit green tea which was a little too sweet for me (next time I'll ask for half sugar) but the flavor overall was great and the fresh fruit (apples, oranges, lime, passion fruit, strawberries, and watermelon) was sweet, ripe, and so good. I would def come back."
"Card minimum $15.Amazing food. Got the popcorn chicken and wings and slush drink. All were amazing!Wings are spicy despite not being sauced up.Their popcorn chicken too has a neutral batter taste.Slush is very slush -- like very much an iceeSmall space - no place to eat or restroom."
"What a gem to find. We found parking on the street, which was meter. We did not do hotpot as I know that is what they are famous for. They have a mini ferris wheel where they place your raw items so when you are ready to cook you can spin the wheel. The restaurant is very small. Our favorite dishes were the beef noodle soup, broth was great and beef was thick."
"I like their milk tea and ordered it couple times, taste has not changed. The sweetness is just right and the price is reasonable . The service attitude is good."
"A tiny Banh Mi shop located in Watertown. Very happy this place opened. It's convenient for when I want to grab lunch.Their Vietnamese iced coffee is STRONG. Be warned. This is how I had it in Vietnam and it was sooo good. But if you don't like strong coffee, you should opt for another drink. Personally, this is just how I like it.I tried the beef Banh Mi. It was so good. Bread is fresh and the veggies are crisp and refreshing. Had a bit of a spice to it, which was perfect. I think from the peppers on it. The staff is so friendly too. I would highly recommend popping by this gem for take out sandwiches and iced coffee. There is street parking, but main street can get hectic during rush hour. Lunch time is a breeze though."
"Banh Mi Boba & Me is a small shop serving up a variety of bubble tea milk drinks, fruit teas, smoothies, slushes, lattes. Vietnamese coffee, banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls. and pho soups at fair prices. The place is geared towards takeout which is order at the counter and there are no tables here other than a standing table by the front window. I stopped by here while I was in Stoughton. I ordered a Banh Me BBQ Chicken ($8.99 plus tax) which was made to order in the back kitchen and ready within 5 minutes. Served on a crusty firm sub roll, the banh me had tender pieces of sweet BBQ chicken, cilantro, cucumber slices, shredded pickled carrots, daikon, and red chiles. I really enjoyed this sandwich which had sweet, savory, and very spicy flavors. I will probably get a Banh Mi Classic Cold Cuts and a Taro Bubble Tea on the next stop in here."
