"What I liked:- good food portions served immediately after order is placed. - cheap, craft beer on tap. Multiple IPAs!- loads of seating indoors and outdoors Areas to improve?- service. Seemed to take awhile to get served after taking a seat."
"Koreana is a great place to come for KBBQ! In the Boston area, though I would love for there to be more options for KBBQ/AYCE options, I am appreciative that Koreana is around!I love getting the tofu stew soup, tteokboki, japchae, beef & pork spicy bulgogi meats to grill. They are very generous with the banchans and servers are incredibly kind and helpful."

"Hong Kong Eatery has been around since I was a kid! We used to get smoothies at the spot that was next door and eat here. Nowadays, I come here for takeout every so often. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll either get a beef chow fun ( 乾炒牛河) or 3 meats over rice plate (三拼飯), with extra ginger scallion sauce! For the three meats, I like to get char siu 叉烧, soy sauce chicken 豉油鸡, and either duck 烤鴨 or octopus if they have it. I also enjoy their cold plate options, just to snack on. I love the cold spicy chicken feet and sometimes duck feet. Very quick service here, even if the line is out the door. Food is made fast, 5-10min ready. As for sit down/dine in, I haven't sat down to eat here in a minute. I've gotten very used to just ordering takeout from here and be on my merry way."
"This place is a solid 3.5. We had an early weekday dinner around 5:45 and there was no wait. It was a warm spring day, so the door was open but it was quite stuffy inside the restaurant. You order via the QR code on the table. We tried the large dry pot with meat and veggies, Dan Dan noodles, and wontons in chili oil. The dry pot was decent. Portion size was huge but we found that some of the ingredients were overcooked. The taro and fish filet pieces were super dry. Seems like they deep fried them before stir frying with the mala. You choose up to 6 'veggies' that you want and instead of tofu puffs they gave me wide noodles. Not sure if they just didn't have the tofu puffs or they made a mistake. The Dan Dan noodles had kick and lots of flavor and the wontons in chili oil was on the sweeter side which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, affordable prices for a decent meal. Not sure I would wait in line for this place but would come back to try other dishes. Don't expect any service, just flag down waitstaff if you need anything!"
"I'm not sure why, but I missed the Pearl Street Station boat for years. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Pearl Street Station merits equal if not superior status with other local legends like the Causeway( Gloucester), the Newbridge Cafe (Chelsea), the 810 (Everett) and Nappi's (Medford). My brother suggested we eat there after an active day. I went with the flow and have added a regular haunt. We started with the appetizer sampler. I highly recommend it although the cheese on the potato skins was not the usual. The table bread was from Pantadosi.. I had the mixed grill which was the best mixed grill I've ever had. The plate itself was ginormous. The ribs were fall off the bone style and tasty,. The sausage was from Bianchi's. The lamb tips perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful as were the steak tips which were marinated in something excellent. The Guiness was frothy and the perfect temperature."
"A decade ago I moved to Boston from New York, it was really hard to find great pizza in these parts. With the exception of one or two places, pretty much all pizza I encountered was way below standard. Especially Greek pizzerias. Good lord. So anytime I find a pizza place that is legitimately good, it's a highly coveted find. I ordered delivery from Square Deli and my pizza was absolutely fantastic. In fact, it was one of the best first bites I've had of any pizza ... anywhere. Including New Haven (though it's not the same style). it was perfectly thin and crispy without being overcooked, an incredibly flavorful sauce, and didn't flop over much with the soppressata ingredients weighing it down. I ordered Italian subs too , which were very good. Overall, I'm very very happy with this place and I'm looking forward to ordering again in the future"
"Had breakfast with my Daughter-in-law & 2 year old grandson at the L Street Diner & Pizzeria. We were the only ones there early on a November Saturday morning. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Teddy had pancakes that looked really good. My DIL had a 4 egg omelette-wowza! It came with toast & home fries. A good value for around $8. I had Eggs Benedict which was delicious. The ham on it was so juicy & tender. It also came with home fries. The coffee was good and our server came back several times to refill our cups. My only negative comment is that our food could have come out quicker since we were the only ones there when we ordered. And my home fries weren't particularly hot. Otherwise, I see no reason not to return."

Time for an update. Full disclosure: I haven't been to the brick and mortar Redbones location since before the pandemic, but my husband went a couple of months ago for lunch with a friend of his. However, just a couple of weeks ago Tom and I were at a party where the hosts had food trucks supplying the dinner. One of the food trucks at this party was from Redbones BBQ so this review is based on my most recent experience with the food from their food truck as well as Tom's report of his recent lunch at the restaurant.Let me start by saying my husband and I love barbecue and years ago, we were regulars at Redbones. Once upon a time one could expect excellent, delicious BBQ, and fabulous side dishes. One would also be assured of a lively and fun time with good service. It was a great hit of Southern fare here in New England. On my husband's recent visit he said the service was unfriendly and abrupt, the portions he said, were shockingly small and the food mediocre at best. Quite surprisingly he said, everything was served in takeout boxes even though he and his friend were dining inside the restaurant. Instead of silverware, Tom told me they are now using plastic utensils. It looks like they are trying to save money by not using dishes or utensils that need washing. But honestly, can you imagine eating BBQ (or anything for that matter) with flimsy plastic utensils? Let's not even get into all the waste of plastic and paper this also engenders.I don't know anyone who likes eating out of a takeout box inside of a restaurant versus off of a china plate, casual BBQ fare included.Tom and his friend said they were also surprised at how few people were in the restaurant. This is a place that was always busy.My husband noted that the prices have increased substantially despite the drastic decrease in quantity and quality and the decline in good service.Tom and his friend were disappointed with every aspect of their lunch experience.Fast forward several weeks and friends of ours had a casual outdoor anniversary party using among other vendors, a Redbones food truck. I opted to try what the Redbones food truck was offering and had the brisket. Unfortunately, the brisket was absolutely drenched in barbecue sauce. The meat seemed a bit dry and perhaps this is why they covered it with so much sauce. But you couldn't really even taste the meat given all the BBQ sauce heaped upon it. Over saucing something does not forgive poor cooking. They were also serving BBQ chicken which I did not try. The cornbread was dry. One of the sides was mac and cheese which was also dry. I tried the collard greens which is normally a vegetable I Iove. The collard greens were too watery and so lacked any depth of flavor. The serving size was about two forkfuls of the watery greens. While it may not be fair to be such a harsh judge of Redbones based on a food truck experience it does seem to go along with Tom and his friend's recent experience and those of other Yelpers who have recently dined there and shared their reviews. This decline is stunning to me given how popular and great this place once was. Redbones used to be a place where you had to wait to get a table on any given night and you didn't mind doing so because it was fun to hang out at the bar while you waited and you knew the end result would be excellent barbecue. It was an incredibly popular and busy place because the food was just that good, the vibe was fun and the service was friendly. This was a go-to place for us on many a Saturday night with friends. We would often bring friends who were visiting from out of town.Fortunately Tom has become an excellent BBQ "pitmaster" in his own right. With his own trusty smoker at home he has become adept at making truly delicious ribs as well as brisket. What is perhaps ironic is that years ago Tom had a long conversation one late night after dinner at Redbones with the chef who generously shared some of his cooking tips with Tom. We have a dearth of great BBQ places in this part of Massachusetts...Blue Ribbon in Arlington comes to mind as a good place to go but it's a bit of a haul for us to get to.Maybe Redbones can turn this around, but I don't think we will bother to go back until we hear otherwise via Yelp reviews. We still have our memories of once upon a time.

I love koreana. It's delicious. I've been coming here for years and the food is consistently good. We've come in large groups and small, and always managed to be seated even if there is a wait.We usually get the galbi and the pork bulgogi. We've also gotten several other meats and apps. I highly recommend coming here if you haven't had Korean bbq or want to have a slightly more fun dining experience (vs a no cooking in front of you restaurant). We went to Korea in 2023 and Koreana is doing a great job once food and side dishes. It's the best in Cambridge than I've found so far!

A warm Spring workday equates to a nice stroll around Boston during lunch! We popped into Hong Kong eatery where the line was long, but the service was quick! My colleague and I ordered the crispy roast pork and the beef noodles. Together, it came out to be about $38, but we had a whole tray of food leftover to take home! That's about three meals total?!The ambiance is very straight forward. Grab your food to go, or sit down and eat quickly! There is no waitstaff, but you can order on the kiosk (super convenient!!) and sit down and wait. There aren't a lot of seats, maybe about 6 small tables total, but people come in and out so it's not too bad waiting for a seat while you're waiting for your food. The only improvement I would ask for is to provide some form of plates for customers to use for dine-in!

We took a chance on this place as it looked the busiest out of the several restaurants nearing it. Folks kept going in and we took a chance. We are so glad we did! Food is superb and pricing is very reasonable. Food: Soup dumplings - these are smaller than traditional XLB's at other places, but they still taste pretty good and have an ok amount of soup inside. Some had more, some had less. These took a long time to come out, it was last. I'd give them a 3/5 rating. Chili cumen beef - Very good, give it a 4/5 rating. There is a good amount of beef with some green peppers. There are a TON of red peppers but I find that its mostly unedible as they are pretty dry and hard to chew. This dish is pretty dry. We got it spicy and it was perfect, and the mala flavor was not overpowering. You can also get this with lamb instead of beef. Shredded pork with dried bean curd - This was also a 4/5 rating. There are generous portions of meat and bean curd (sorta like firmer tofu?), along with some slices of green peppers. Flavor is spot on and this dish is not spicy. BBQ skewers - I thought this would be more popular here, but we were the only table to order these. They came out quick and had great flavor. There was a little crispness to the tentacles. The lamb was very tender and flavorful. The pork belly was just ok. Overall, I'd give skewers a 3/5 rating. This place has a sizeable dining area. I really liked that you order from your phone after scanning the QR code at your table. You can easily add on more items throughout your stay. I only wish they had more pictures for their menu items, as it would really help. Service was very good. Staff was friendly and there was someone going around constantly refilling water. They do tend to speak to you in chinese, but some can speak some english. Prices are very reasonable for the portions and quality of food. I think this definitely adds to the popularity of this place, as I'm also looking forward to a return visit soon. Keep up the great work!Lots of street parking spots around the area, but depending on day and time, could get challenging, be patient!

We got takeout. Pizza and chicken cutlet sub. Both were really good! I am very picky about pizza and standards are high; Square Deli met the mark.

I came here based on a recommendation from someone who grew up in Northeastern China. Although I've never had much Northeastern Chinese food myself, I was curious to try the various dishes they have to offer!4 of us split the house-style liangpi ($13.95), paradise garden ($15.95), Dongbei braised spare ribs ($17.95), braised eggplant with fried pork ($16.95), foil beef ($17.95), and a large bowl of rice ($7.25).I highly recommend trying the above selection of dishes if you've never had Northeastern Chinese food before, because each of those dishes had their own unique flavor and texture profile. The liangpi had a tangy, nutty sesame sauce which was cold and refreshing with the chewy noodles. The noodles came with lots of sliced cucumber which added to the freshness of the dish. I couldn't stop eating it!The paradise garden was unlike anything I've had before-- a mixture of fresh, thinly sliced vegetables, shrimp, and tripe came swimming in a dark-colored cold broth that wasn't heavily salted. Each component in the dish was fresh but I can't say I was the biggest fan of this one, mostly because I was unfamiliar with the dish and didn't know what to expect. The Dongbei braised spare ribs were so tender that they fell off the bone. The meat was extremely flavorful and had a good balance between leaner and fattier bits. The braised eggplant with fried pork had a Chinese American vibe to it because there was so much breading and a sweet-and-sour sauce. The eggplant was super tender, although I barely tasted any pork in the dish. The foil beef was soft, tender, and had a pleasant peppery flavor to it! The beef was swimming in a delicious sauce that paired perfectly with rice.Overall, I was very impressed by the various ways they've prepared meat. I would definitely come back for the liangpi and to try their other dishes!

"Great food. Decent service. The only place in the area where you'll find this type of food from this specific region in China."
"Was so excited that they brought back the collard greens I just had to order. There is something different about the Smoke Shop, and I'm not feeling it. It used to be my favorite place to eat in Boston. I would bring every date there, my friends, my family. I had a whole neighborhood hooked on their burnt ends like I was making illegal deals. Then they got rid of the collard greens, and the burnt ends weren't the same. Now burnt ends still not the same, and collard greens are not as delsish, and what the heck have they put in the beans? It's crunchy. I couldn't tell what it was, but it was like green pepper almost. Don't let me change your mind, tho. The food is still good. It's just not how it was a few years ago. Bring those chefs back, and let's have all the kitchens mirror each other so it's the same no matter which one you go to. Still the best BBQ out here."
"We came here for lunch. The interior was cute. The service was great and suggested some delicious items. We got 1Braised Lamb Ribs 2Garlic Eggplant 3Chives 4Passionfruit Green Tea 5Mango Slush 6Grilled Scallop7Garlic Eggplant 8Garlic Oysters 9Pan Fried Chicken Skeleton10 Skewers: Xingjing Special Lamb, Mongolia Beef, & Chicken Everything was tasty in there own way, but the Braised Lamb Ribs were my favorite. They were well seasoned, crispy and fatty. You can't go wrong with the skewers. They had a dry rub on them that made it delicious. The Garlic Oysters & Grilled Scallops were fresh with a sweet, earthy, spicy taste . Garlic Eggplant & Chives were a perfect balance to our meat heavy meal. The passion fruit green tea was refreshing and sweet. what a perfect place to have a drink & Eat tasty BBQ Skewers"
"SO MUCH FOOD! Everything is delicious, bursting with flavor, and worth every cent, but I can't emphasize enough that this place will try to make you explode with food. I absolutely loved it. Maybe split an entree between friends or something? Also, this place is worth checking out for the "Museum of Bad Art," which is in the same building. You can enjoy delicious bbq, try not to explode, then enjoy bad art - it's a good time."
"Really enjoyed my dinner here last night! Service was quick and friendly! The meat on my sandwich was delicious and I really enjoyed the side salad I chose to get with it. You also get 3 different bbq sauces to put on your meat. We made a reservation but it was not really needed as there is plenty of seating. I will be back."
"I came here with a small group on a Tuesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday after checking out the Tall Ship at the East Boston pier nearby. The Smoke Shop was a perfect place to hang out and we felt very welcome. The ambience is casual and low key and you can't beat the spectacular waterfront views! We even got to watch fireworks right outside the window.Since we had already eaten dinner elsewhere, none of us actually ordered BBQ (which is what they're known for), but we very much enjoyed what we did order. Two of my friends ordered the Carmelized Banana Bread Pudding, which was out of this world amazing!!! It was so smooth and creamy, and came with lots of whipped cream and cookies on top. I give that dessert 5/5 stars. One person actually ordered it the next day from Smoke Shop's Harvard Square location because it was so good! Another friend ordered the "Gooey Butter Cake- the crack," which was fine for a butter cake, but not as incredible as the banana pudding, which may be worth driving across town for. I ordered the Crispy Texas Spring Rolls off the appetizer menu as a snack. Our waitress said they are 4/10 on a scale for spiciness, but they were too hot for me. I asked for some sour cream to go with the spring rolls and was told they didn't have any, so she brought out some blue cheese dressing. I was pleased with the portion size. I got a large serving for an appetizer. Our server was attentive and friendly. I recommend The Smoke Shop and would like to check out their other locations. Next time, I will go there for a meal and order the brisket!"
"This place is not closed! I really enjoyed the fish in this place. For that fish I will give it 5 stars. I forgot the name but there was one that was slim and another that was shorted and wider, a mackerel perhaps? Both were tasty and freshly fried. They have a unique hotpot that has 9 sections divided into the bowl which I thought was different. I had the beef chicken shrimp fish cake and chicken wing skewers. All were tasty but the chicken wing skewer is huge! I also enjoyed the grilled green pepper. Amazing."
"Tasty BBQ is one of the residents in The Corner Mall's food court - The Food Experience. By the mall entrance, the hours posted state Monday - Saturday 7am-6:30pm, and Sunday noon-6pm.Tasty BBQ is cafeteria style, where you order up, they scoop pre-made food, and you're out of there.Service was quite friendly. The meat tender enough, and the collard greens wet and overcooked with dry bits of meat, but okay on the whole.I ordered the Double Tasty $11.75 so that I could sample both their brisket and pork belly on one visit. Both had some fat layered in there, but not overly so. The belly was preferred. Their bbq sauce was a good non-spicy option, and their pickles and onions helped to make the meal a tad healthier. Their onions were surprising mild.Generally, the Double Tasty is served with 2 meats, a hot & a cold side, pickles, raw onions, & bbq sauce, but they will allow a double portion of a side.I sampled a few other items on another visit, and found that I preferred the potato salad over the cole slaw for their cold side options. The mac & cheese was pretty good, and their bbq brisket quite tender and tasty. I didn't try the broccoli, but they were a beautiful vibrant green. So in terms of their meat, I recommend the bbq chopped brisket, then pork belly, and last but not least - the brisket. As for their desserts, I had their banana pudding $3 and caramel flan $3.25.The banana pudding is assembled before your eyes, with the pudding squeezed out of one of those plastic bags like frosting, several of those round Nilla Wafer type cookies placed along the edges, and topped off with whipped cream sprayed from those aerosol cans from the supermarket. As such, the whipped cream doesn't last too long, and the cookies will soften over time. There is no real banana sliced in unlike what is traditionally known as banana pudding in the US. The pudding itself is rather dense and could do with a boost of banana flavoring, since it is after all called a banana pudding. In short - tasty, eat it sooner than later, but not quite befitting its name. (Turns out they forgot to add the sliced banana.)The flan was cut from a tray not quite 3/4 of an inch thick. It is quite a dense dessert. Creamy, sweet. I liked it, though it wasn't the best rendition I've had.On another visit I tried out their banana bread french toast $3.50, biscuit with sweet butter $1.30 and french fries $2.50.The banana bread came in three slices, griddled warm (not sure if they did anything else to it to warrant the "french toast" description. But warmed, with a swirl of whipped cream and some sliced banana, it made for a nice comforting (yet not too sweet) sweet. The french fries were nicely salted, and crispy in bits. They were good.Their biscuit reheated well and was quite nice."
"I just tried Mineirao and absolutely loved it. The ambiance is great and the wait staff and owners are so kind. The food is 10.95 per pound or 39 to have fresh meats delivered to your table. The value is unbeatable. All the meat I had was juicy, tender and tasty and there are tons of salad and side options. They have live entertainment on friday nights as well. Check it out and support this new business!"
