Boston Chowda

This was an AMAZING choice for my first authentic lobster roll with clam chowder!!! I walked through the hall and saw sooo many places selling lobster rolls but I decided to choose this place for whatever reason. I definitely chose RIGHT! The lobster was so fresh, the bread was so buttery, the clam chowder was delicious. I recommend going here if it's your first time at Quincy Hall!

Very mid experience; particularly for the price. Had the warm lobster roll special with clam chowder. The lobster roll had little flavor as did the chowder which even more disappointingly looked as if it had come from a can. Wanted a true Boston food experience during my brief time there and willing to pay the extra dime as a tourist trap but walked away very disappointed. Not to mention I was still hungry thereafter. No place to sit and eat your order, which I'm indifferent about but notable.

This joint is phenomenal.The Hot Buttered Maine Lobster Roll was so warm and soft and buttery. make sure to squeeze some lemon on there so the acid can balance out the heavy butter. SO GOOD. 10/10The New England Clam Chowda is one of the best I've had. The consistency of the soup is not too thick or too watered down. It's just perfect. And they are generous with the amount of clam in the Chowda. I can actually taste and chew on the clams. SO GOOD.10/10I don't recommend the Lobster Mac and Cheese. It was not that warm and also the flavor was not that good. You can barely taste the lobster in it. 2/10The Hot Buttered Maine Lobster Roll Special is 100% worth it. There is seating upstairs, but otherwise, you eat wherever you can find the space.

Hands down best clam chowder in Boston! I had it 18 years ago on my first trip to Boston and Boston Chiefs was at the top of my list for my visit just last week. I was worried that time may had enhanced my memory of this chowder, but it definitely had not! It was still just as delicious as I remembered. Make it a must-go if you're anywhere near Quincy Market!

Located in Quincy Market. We tried the lobster mac and cheese and a clam chowder bread bowl. Both were great but def needed salt and the chowder could've had more herbs. You order and pay at the counter and then they work on your food. Wasn't the best chowder in the city though.

Pros: my husband ordered the lobster roll and the clam chowder. It tasted fresh and it also came out hot. Also, it was very flavorful and it hit the spot. The service was quick and the clerks were kind. Expensive but it's worth it.To note: The location is in a crowded area of the Quincy Market, so it isn't very quiet.Overall score: A+

When in Boston, Faneuil Hall is a must! And when in Faneuil Hall, Boston Chowda is a must! Lines were long and busy but it keeps coming. We figured it must be good and so we decided on this stall. Love the variety of soups they have - New England Clam Chowder, Rockport Lobster Bisque, Manhattan Chowder and the regular clam chowder plus Ma's Chicken Vegetable Soup. Lobster rolls are 5oz., very satisfying with every bite. Highly recommended

Good stall in Faneuil Hall. Hot chowder, hot lobster rolls (or cold if that's what you're into). We got those 2 things. Lobster roll was great and full of meat. Chowder needed a bit of salt and pepper, but once we got that we were in business. There are A LOT of places to choose from in this area, but this line wasn't too long and the food came out fairly quick- just 2 people working and they worked hard. Grab it and go find a spot to sit or stand in the Hall or outside. It's loud and busy. But that's part of the charm.

Inside the Quincy Market building, this chowda spot also serves rolls, pot pies, and a variety of soups. Went with a large New England chowda which ran for $10 and change. It was a good thickness with a fair amount of clams. Worth a try.

Food was amazing, service was amazing, everything you can ask for and more. This is the spot to go if you want a nice hot lobster roll and clam chowder.
