I gave this place a few chances - I went to their food truck and their restaurant, and got a meal from them that was catered for an event I went to. I love banh mi and soba noodles typically so I really thought I'd love this place. The service is pretty good - things are made to order and the lines aren't too long if you go before or after lunchtime. The ingredients always seem fresh which is another plus. However, every time I've had the food it is just so, so plain - soba, chicken, and other main meal components are unflavored and relatively dry. Maybe it's a part of Bon Me's health mantra but time and time again I've gotten something, it looks good, it sounds good, but it's like eating textured water. I don't know how they manage to succeed in keeping the taste so consistently bland. I grew up with boiled chicken, so I figured I knew what bland was. I remember the catered meals - they were presented so nicely, but when it came to eating the food everything was sauceless - Teriyaki chicken and soba noodles was plain chicken and plain soba noodles. The one thing that saves them is their drinks - they're all pretty good and I especially liked the Thai Basil Lemonade.I still want to try them again and hope they taste better next time.

I work in the area and try to get lunch here a couple of times a month. Almost every single time, I get something that's not what I ordered (and often paid extra for). While the staff is nice, it's really frustrating to get back to my office and find that I've gotten something that doesn't meet my dietary needs or that I paid for something that I didn't get.

Ordered the miso kimchi ramen and a Thai tea and it was delicious! It was very busy so I wouldn't recommend eating inside if you have a larger party because there are people using the space waiting for their order (also kind of loud). Luckily, there is plenty of outdoor seating. The staff worked quickly and were very friendly. Very large portions - left full! Definitely a must try!

One of the best meals you can get in Cambridge for less than $15! It's pretty difficult to find a full meal, with meat, vegetables and a main carb for under $15, that's not just a sandwich, but Bon Me is one of the few awesome places where you can! Their dishes are an amazing bang for your buck in terms of portion size and all of their dishes are so tasty. This chicken and pho dish had an amazing blend of savory and sweet from the sauce. The vegetables and peanuts have the dish a variety of textures. Thinking about it still makes my mouth water!!Would highly recommend Bon Me for a quick lunch or refreshing snack (you would probably have to split a dish between two people as a snack) on a hot day! When I visited two weeks ago, indoor dining was still closed off (understandably, as it is a small place) but there are plenty of small tables spread out to abide with social distancing guidelines. There's a bit of construction happening next to the chairs, but it's on a lower level and it generally doesn't bother me when I'm eating.

There's a reason the line is always so long at Bon Me...the lunchtime crowd knows a good deal, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better one in this area. For around $10 you can get a bowl (build your own or choose from a list of preset options) that is chock full of delicious, fresh ingredients. And the spice is right, flavorful without turning your mouth numb. The Kendall Square location is tiny, with only a few tables and stools available. It's definitely a nod to the food truck roots that this location is better suited for taking orders to go. If you're looking for a good lunch option in the neighborhood, you can't go wrong with Bon Me.

live love fast casual asian-esque food -- a little disappointed with the lack of customization for the salad, but the other options actually look pretty great. still, the chicken was tender and delish!

Pork fried rice and the lemongrass fried chicken keep me coming back and back again! So good and portion in the rice is very goo for the price. Prices are a bit high here but I find that I get my money's worth with the rice. Gets busy during lunch hours so make sure to order ahead online for easier pick up.

The Thai basil lemonade was refreshing and delicious, and the boba was surprisingly good. The namesake sandwich was ok. Wouldn't get it again but open to trying their other food options. You order on the iPad, and service is fast.

I used to love this place but I think the quality and quantity has decreased over the years. I just paid $14 for the Vietnamese summer bowl and it is tiny, flavorless, unimaginative, and they charged to swap chicken for tofu. I'm leaving still very hungry.
