Last day of biz trip-I had my eye on this place since arriving in Boston but made more disappointing food choices over my trip. I was initially hesitant bc I never had a pulled pork bahn mi before and didn't know how the flavors would work. Workers were nice and food came fast. What I ordered:Namesake-the description says this was the front runner of the store so after a week of disappointing food exp in the area I gambled and ordered this for my pre flight meal. Having pulled pork in a bahn mi seemed odd to me and I definitely needed a few bites to adjust to the flavor. I don't really have anything bad to say about this bahn mi, once my palate adjusted it was a warm, crispy bahn mi resembling all the flavors I loved. Imo this sandwhich actually had quite a lot of pulled pork(see pic) compared to the veg which was surprising since other restaurants in the area seemed stingy with meat. I agree with other reviews that it's not a "traditional" bahn mi but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Note that the pork is quite juicy and there was a pulled of juice at the bottom of the bag which would have soggied the bread if I didn't eat it in store. Lychee blossom-the new seasonal item on promo. First couple of sips it had a very strong perfume taste after which it felt like a floraly lemonade. The popping bubbles are fun(always are). Overall a decently refreshing drink although idk if I would say it's very lychee flavored Overall a pleasant and satisfying experience :)

The Bon Me food trucks are a staple around Boston, and I was happy to finally visit one of their permanent locations. For fast casual Asian food, they get the job done. I decided to change it up from the usual sandwiches and try their scallion tantan ramen. For $14, you get a huge portion of noodles, soup, and protein. For the pork they used the same pulled pork as they do for their sandwiches instead of the roasted charsu pork. Tasty but it disintegrated into the soup. The broth was really fatty which didn't bother me too much.Inside is on the smaller side. There were 4-5 tables with bench and chair seating as well as counter seating. Not much room for big groups and would feel cramped if it was a busy day. Worth a stop if you are feeling a quick bite after stopping by the children's museum.

So day 2 in Boston for a conference with Jimbo and JewBoy. We needed a quick lunch before the afternoon sessions. Took a quick walk and found this spot near the convention center. It was billed as Vietnamese street food so we thought we'd take a look. Simple interior. Clean. They have ordering kiosks, which we took advantage of. I got the Singapore noodles, and JewBoy and I got pulled pork and KBBQ chicken banh mi to split. The Singaporean noodles had pretty good flavor. They could've been cooked just a little longer to cook off the moisture. I was a huge fan of the chicken banh mi. Great flavor and juicy chicken. I'd give this place a shot if you're looking for a good, quick lunch.

The pork is not grilled in the "namesake" sandwich. Not good. Like a canned tuna texture instead of crispy char. Bummer. $12 too?!

Came by myself, so only tried one menu, but it was tasty and the ingredients are fresh! Thats the most important in this kind of restaurant :) I order the gochujang chicken + tea egg, pretty good. Service: you ordered thru the screen provided, and they will call your name when the order is ready, pretty friendly service. Ambiance is good, not too crowded during the weekday, great spot for smaller group.

My mother and I walked around the Harvard campus on Sunday and stopped in the Smith Center to try Bon Me. Bon Me serves delicious Asian-inspired eats such as Bánh mìs, ramen, rice bowls, bubble tea and more! For drinks we had their thai basil lemonade and their milk bubble tea. If you love the taste of ginger the thai basil lemonade is perfect for you! But if you are a fan of boba stick with the bubble tea.For food we tried their popular Namesake Bánh mì which was a toasted baguette-stuffed with miso pork, pickled carrot & daikon, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, pork pâté, and spicy mayo. This was my favorite item! So yummy and extremely filling! We also had their Miso Kimchi Ramen which was ramen noodles in pork broth with miso-braised pulled pork, kimchi, soft egg, scallions, and a dash of Thai chili oil. This was also very filling and a great choice after a walk in this winter weather.Check out Bon Me if you are in the Harvard campus area or if you see their food truck nearby (they are in several locations in the Boston area!)Affordability: 8/10Food: 7/10Ambiance: 3/10

The worst brown sugar boba milk tea I've ever had in my life. Walked by here a few times and finally decided to try it. Never again.

Bought a coffee. Calling it a "Vietnamese coffee" is an abomination of the name itself. Making Vietnamese is also not difficult. There is very little room for errors, but yet, you somehow found a way to make coffee taste this bad while tainted the culture drink of a country.Service is good, but what is good service without good food?
