"Nina is a great server! All food runners and hosts were great too!I also liked that the bbq wasn't sweet. They offer a sweet sauce but it's not syrupy. And they also offer spicy and a mustard based one (my favorite). Also, you know how baked beans can be super sweet-this one was balanced (with burnt ends!). The potato salad and coleslaw were well seasoned and not overly mayo-naised. The whiskey menu is off the charts!! Also offer beer and cocktails. We've been trying to find good bbq in Boston and this was yummy. Good experience. Really nice staff."
"I ordered food from Larry J's BBQ Cafe via an app, but then I realized it would be a while till I could sit down to eat, so I called in to see if they'd be willing to pack the fries separately in my Hillbilly Nacho appetizer (Fries, chili, pulled pork, cheese, jalapeno peppers) Half $7.95 before I headed on over.Larry J's is located in a building plopped in the middle of an urban greenspace with tables and chairs strewn about before it. You order at the window out front, and await your order by the window to the side where you may also claim some paper napkins and sauce packets if you wish. The fellow who took my call let me know in a reasonable manner that this request of mine took more time than they can normally extend to each order, but that it was no trouble this time. I appreciated that.Turns out they packed everything separately - the fries (as expected), the pulled pork in a pile, the chili in a soup cup, and the cheese in a sauce cup. Wow. I was imagining the pile of toppings layered up in a dish, with the fries separate. The pulled pork by itself was a bit dry in spots, but mingled with the chili, it was perfect. This was a nice mess of a dish once put back together.Their sweet potato fries $2.95 small from their Teasers menu was a goodly portion, all soft (no crisp) but full of nice sweet potato flavor."

By the mall entrance, the hours posted state Monday - Saturday 7am-6:30pm, and Sunday noon-6pm.Tasty BBQ is cafeteria style, where you order up, they scoop pre-made food, and you're out of there.Service was quite friendly. The meat tender enough, and the collard greens wet and overcooked with dry bits of meat, but okay on the whole.I ordered the Double Tasty $11.75 so that I could sample both their brisket and pork belly on one visit. Both had some fat layered in there, but not overly so. The belly was preferred. Their bbq sauce was a good non-spicy option, and their pickles and onions helped to make the meal a tad healthier. Their onions were surprising mild.Generally, the Double Tasty is served with 2 meats, a hot & a cold side, pickles, raw onions, & bbq sauce, but they will allow a double portion of a side.I sampled a few other items on another visit, and found that I preferred the potato salad over the cole slaw for their cold side options. The mac & cheese was pretty good, and their bbq brisket quite tender and tasty. I didn't try the broccoli, but they were a beautiful vibrant green. So in terms of their meat, I recommend the bbq chopped brisket, then pork belly, and last but not least - the brisket. As for their desserts, I had their banana pudding $3 and caramel flan $3.25.The banana pudding is assembled before your eyes, with the pudding squeezed out of one of those plastic bags like frosting, several of those round Nilla Wafer type cookies placed along the edges, and topped off with whipped cream sprayed from those aerosol cans from the supermarket. As such, the whipped cream doesn't last too long, and the cookies will soften over time. There is no real banana sliced in unlike what is traditionally known as banana pudding in the US. The pudding itself is rather dense and could do with a boost of banana flavoring, since it is after all called a banana pudding. In short - tasty, eat it sooner than later, but not quite befitting its name. (Turns out they forgot to add the sliced banana.)The flan was cut from a tray not quite 3/4 of an inch thick. It is quite a dense dessert. Creamy, sweet. I liked it, though it wasn't the best rendition I've had.On another visit I tried out their banana bread french toast $3.50, biscuit with sweet butter $1.30 and french fries $2.50.The banana bread came in three slices, griddled warm (not sure if they did anything else to it to warrant the "french toast" description. But warmed, with a swirl of whipped cream and some sliced banana, it made for a nice comforting (yet not too sweet) sweet. The french fries were nicely salted, and crispy in bits. They were good.Their biscuit reheated well and was quite nice."
"Really enjoyed my dinner here last night! Service was quick and friendly! The meat on my sandwich was delicious and I really enjoyed the side salad I chose to get with it. You also get 3 different bbq sauces to put on your meat. We made a reservation but it was not really needed as there is plenty of seating. I will be back."
"SO MUCH FOOD! Everything is delicious, bursting with flavor, and worth every cent, but I can't emphasize enough that this place will try to make you explode with food. I absolutely loved it. Maybe split an entree between friends or something? Also, this place is worth checking out for the "Museum of Bad Art," which is in the same building. You can enjoy delicious bbq, try not to explode, then enjoy bad art - it's a good time."
"I'm not sure why, but I missed the Pearl Street Station boat for years. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Pearl Street Station merits equal if not superior status with other local legends like the Causeway( Gloucester), the Newbridge Cafe (Chelsea), the 810 (Everett) and Nappi's (Medford). My brother suggested we eat there after an active day. I went with the flow and have added a regular haunt. We started with the appetizer sampler. I highly recommend it although the cheese on the potato skins was not the usual. The table bread was from Pantadosi.. I had the mixed grill which was the best mixed grill I've ever had. The plate itself was ginormous. The ribs were fall off the bone style and tasty,. The sausage was from Bianchi's. The lamb tips perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful as were the steak tips which were marinated in something excellent. The Guiness was frothy and the perfect temperature."
"Had breakfast with my Daughter-in-law & 2 year old grandson at the L Street Diner & Pizzeria. We were the only ones there early on a November Saturday morning. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Teddy had pancakes that looked really good. My DIL had a 4 egg omelette-wowza! It came with toast & home fries. A good value for around $8. I had Eggs Benedict which was delicious. The ham on it was so juicy & tender. It also came with home fries. The coffee was good and our server came back several times to refill our cups. My only negative comment is that our food could have come out quicker since we were the only ones there when we ordered. And my home fries weren't particularly hot. Otherwise, I see no reason not to return."
"This is hands down one of the best places for Korean BBQ in the Boston area. The service, food, and atmosphere are all exceptional. We visited on a weekday evening, and although it was pretty crowded, we were seated within a reasonable time. Our waiter was very helpful, explaining the menu options and even recommending some dishes to try.The Korean BBQ was fantastic. The staff started cooking the meat for us, but we took over since we're used to doing it ourselves. They still kept an eye on the grill to ensure nothing was overcooked. The meat was tender, juicy, and paired perfectly with the dipping sauces. We also tried the seafood pancake, kimchi stew, and cold noodles. I don't usually enjoy cold noodle broth, but this one was particularly good. The service was top-notch. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff surprised us with a complimentary Soju. Our waiter even helped us make Somaek.Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The dishes can get a bit pricey if you're a big eater, but it's definitely worth it."
"We came here for lunch. The interior was cute. The service was great and suggested some delicious items. We got 1Braised Lamb Ribs 2Garlic Eggplant 3Chives 4Passionfruit Green Tea 5Mango Slush 6Grilled Scallop7Garlic Eggplant 8Garlic Oysters 9Pan Fried Chicken Skeleton10 Skewers: Xingjing Special Lamb, Mongolia Beef, & Chicken Everything was tasty in there own way, but the Braised Lamb Ribs were my favorite. They were well seasoned, crispy and fatty. You can't go wrong with the skewers. They had a dry rub on them that made it delicious. The Garlic Oysters & Grilled Scallops were fresh with a sweet, earthy, spicy taste . Garlic Eggplant & Chives were a perfect balance to our meat heavy meal. The passion fruit green tea was refreshing and sweet. what a perfect place to have a drink & Eat tasty BBQ Skewers"

This is basically set up as a food stand with outdoor seating. The food is fantastic and the service is great. If the weather is right, this is an ideal place to stop off for lunch. Enjoy it outside under the trees with the waterfront view

Got pick-up from here. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The beef brisket platter was FANTASTIC, even after I reheated it. It was super juicy, tender, and flavorful. The mac & cheese I got on the side was also delicious - perfectly creamy and topped with crispy bread crumbs. I also got steamed broccoli, which was solid. My platter (1 meat, 2 sides) was around $13, not bad considering how much food there was! My boyfriend got the pulled chicken platter. It wasn't bad, but the beef brisket was much better. Cherry on top? They offer a variety of sauces you can take to-go! I'll definitely be back.

I came here during Dine Out Boston with a friend and had an amazing experience! The vibes are cute, giving Southern vibes and it wasn't too busy when we went around 4pm. Their dinner prix fixe menu was a fantastic deal! For $46, you get 1 appetizer, a bbq plate which 4 meats + 4 sides, and 1 dessert.I ended up getting:- Mac and Cheese Bites for my appetizer: this was delicious! The ranch they have pairs great with the fried mac and cheese that was phenomenally seasoned. My friend got the biscuit that came with whipped honey cinnamon butter which was DELICIOUS. This is easily a must have since the biscuit was so soft and flakey and the sweet whipped butter just melts into the warm biscuit. - BBQ chopped brisket, sliced brisket, pork ribs and pork belly with sides of crispy potatoes, cole slaw, vegetables, and potato salad for my bbq plate. The star of the sides was easily the crispy potatoes. Let me tell you, the white bbq sauce to pair with the crispy potatoes is one of the best decisions ever. The crispy potatoes are wonderfully seasoned and pair amazingly with the bbq sauce. I could eat a whole bowl of the crispy potatoes. My favorite meat was either the pork belly or the BBQ chopped brisket. The brisket was so tender and soft while the pork belly was incredibly crispy. The rib wasn't anything special since it wasn't falling off the bone and the sliced brisket was alright too. The meats also came with three bbq sauces that you could add on! I think my favorite was the vinaigrette they had. - Chocolate Trifle Cup for dessert. This was a great way to round out my meal, but I unfortunately didn't end up finishing it because I was sooo full from the bbq plate! I really liked the contrast between the soft chocolate cake and the crunchy heath cookie bites at the bottom.Overall, great experience and can't wait to come back again! Parking is a bit tough around here, so I would just recommend taking the T. Also, service was great, special shout out to my server! I forgot my apple watch on the table and she made sure to keep it safe in the back.

I would say it was a 5 star experience. Was at the brewery for a candle making event with friends. I had been wanting to try the BBQ here for a while, after hearing all good things. They are black owned, and have some cool write-ups in different outlets. You can order and pay by phone by scanning the code at your table, and they'll bring it out to you. I got the dumpster fries with brisket. Great toppings and content- cheesy, tangy, a pop of scallion, fried goodness, and meaty. The brisket was a tiny bit fatty for my taste- but I know I'm kind of particular, and most people love fat, so I don't hold this against them at all. They were super friendly too. Looking at other orders, the mac and cheese looked awesome. I'll have to get that next time!

This place never disappoints. Went with two last night and it was amazing. The quality of meats you can get were unbeatable for a higher end kbbq spot. We got the small beef combo and pork jowl and it was more than enough to feed us. The service was great, they were super attentive but my only complaint was that they cook extremely quickly so it felt sort of rushed. The restaurant itself was super modern and had great ventilation. Will be coming back!
Visit Restaurant Page"I came here with a small group on a Tuesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday after checking out the Tall Ship at the East Boston pier nearby. The Smoke Shop was a perfect place to hang out and we felt very welcome. The ambience is casual and low key and you can't beat the spectacular waterfront views! We even got to watch fireworks right outside the window.Since we had already eaten dinner elsewhere, none of us actually ordered BBQ (which is what they're known for), but we very much enjoyed what we did order. Two of my friends ordered the Carmelized Banana Bread Pudding, which was out of this world amazing!!! It was so smooth and creamy, and came with lots of whipped cream and cookies on top. I give that dessert 5/5 stars. One person actually ordered it the next day from Smoke Shop's Harvard Square location because it was so good! Another friend ordered the "Gooey Butter Cake- the crack," which was fine for a butter cake, but not as incredible as the banana pudding, which may be worth driving across town for. I ordered the Crispy Texas Spring Rolls off the appetizer menu as a snack. Our waitress said they are 4/10 on a scale for spiciness, but they were too hot for me. I asked for some sour cream to go with the spring rolls and was told they didn't have any, so she brought out some blue cheese dressing. I was pleased with the portion size. I got a large serving for an appetizer. Our server was attentive and friendly. I recommend The Smoke Shop and would like to check out their other locations. Next time, I will go there for a meal and order the brisket!"
"As someone who grew up eating at the original Chelsea location of Floramo's, I was thrilled to discover that they had relocated to Malden. And I am pleased to say that the quality of their food has not diminished in the slightest. My absolute favorite dish is their ribs. The meat is cooked to perfection and falls right off the bone with every bite. The seasoning is spot on, not too overwhelming but still flavorful enough to satisfy even the most discerning palate. This is the kind of dish that is so good, you'll find yourself picking at the bones long after you've eaten your fill.Their steak tips are equally delicious. The meat is tender and juicy, bursting with flavor in every bite. The seasoning is again spot on, perfectly balancing the saltiness with just the right amount of sweetness. In addition to their standout meat dishes, the sides are also noteworthy. The mashed potatoes are fluffy and buttery, the perfect complement to any main dish. The cornbread is moist and crumbly, with a hint of sweetness that will leave you craving more. And let's not forget about the service. The staff at Floramo's are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the perfect place for a family dinner or a date night.Floramo's is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food in a warm and welcoming environment. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough."
"The Coast Cafe is one of the better soul food restaurants around, and I think my very southern family would approve. I placed a pickup order with mixed chicken, candied yams, and Mac & cheese. When I stepped into The Coast, it reminded me of small, local restaurants in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, where the place may not look like much but the food slaps. By the time I arrived, my order was ready. Quick summary: The chicken was well-seasoned, although it could have been a touch juicier. The candied yams were everything they needed to be, and the mac & cheese was solid. This all easily made two meals for me, and the price point was very competitive for the area. Next time, I'll have to try the beef patties and chicken patties to see what they're about."
"When you live in RI, are binge watching Tournament of Champions and are heading to Boston... you head to Sweet Cheeks Q!Tiffani Faison's BBQ joint is the real deal. First off, sheik country vibe. LARGE mason jars of sweet tea (which were pretty tasty) and the Dolly Parton themed bathroom with a sticker machine?! Yes! Tiffani has won me over. Also- super cool that the TOC season 3 belt is here and on display. Then the food- The biscuits are large and in charge! Well worth getting and trying that honey butter. The pork belly was tasty but the real winner was the fried chicken! Super crispy but moist! Delicious! The pickles- what do they do to them? LOVED THEM! (We guess that there was mustard seed on them?) The mac and cheese was ok and the broccolini cheese casserole was tasty!Bottomline- I want to go back and try more on the menu. True score: 4.5SHOUT OUT to our waiter Stevie- Super funny and informative! Thanks for a great visit!"
"Koreana is a great place to come for KBBQ! In the Boston area, though I would love for there to be more options for KBBQ/AYCE options, I am appreciative that Koreana is around!I love getting the tofu stew soup, tteokboki, japchae, beef & pork spicy bulgogi meats to grill. They are very generous with the banchans and servers are incredibly kind and helpful."
"Great food. Decent service. The only place in the area where you'll find this type of food from this specific region in China."
"I've had some less-than-stellar experiences at some other TSS locations. Add to that the heavenly BBQ at Goodstuff Smokehouse (In Blackstone - 100% worth the trek), and TSS had some big shoes to fill. While not S-Tier, this location left me pleasantly surprised and honestly somewhat impressed! Perhaps the 'secret' is when I ordered the Brisket Plate, I requested it fatty. True to my request, the cut of brisket was on the fatty side, tender, flavorful, and savory! The sides of pickles and cornbread, while not mind-blowing, were very good! The plate also came with some pickled veggies (onion and jalapeños), a wedge of watermelon, and a slice of Texas toast (making the cornbread extra). The service was quick, and the portions were large (especially for lunch), making it a very fair value."
"What I liked:- good food portions served immediately after order is placed. - cheap, craft beer on tap. Multiple IPAs!- loads of seating indoors and outdoors Areas to improve?- service. Seemed to take awhile to get served after taking a seat."
"Hong Kong Eatery has been around since I was a kid! We used to get smoothies at the spot that was next door and eat here. Nowadays, I come here for takeout every so often. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll either get a beef chow fun ( 乾炒牛河) or 3 meats over rice plate (三拼飯), with extra ginger scallion sauce! For the three meats, I like to get char siu 叉烧, soy sauce chicken 豉油鸡, and either duck 烤鴨 or octopus if they have it. I also enjoy their cold plate options, just to snack on. I love the cold spicy chicken feet and sometimes duck feet. Very quick service here, even if the line is out the door. Food is made fast, 5-10min ready. As for sit down/dine in, I haven't sat down to eat here in a minute. I've gotten very used to just ordering takeout from here and be on my merry way."
"A decade ago I moved to Boston from New York, it was really hard to find great pizza in these parts. With the exception of one or two places, pretty much all pizza I encountered was way below standard. Especially Greek pizzerias. Good lord. So anytime I find a pizza place that is legitimately good, it's a highly coveted find. I ordered delivery from Square Deli and my pizza was absolutely fantastic. In fact, it was one of the best first bites I've had of any pizza ... anywhere. Including New Haven (though it's not the same style). it was perfectly thin and crispy without being overcooked, an incredibly flavorful sauce, and didn't flop over much with the soppressata ingredients weighing it down. I ordered Italian subs too , which were very good. Overall, I'm very very happy with this place and I'm looking forward to ordering again in the future"
"This place is not closed! I really enjoyed the fish in this place. For that fish I will give it 5 stars. I forgot the name but there was one that was slim and another that was shorted and wider, a mackerel perhaps? Both were tasty and freshly fried. They have a unique hotpot that has 9 sections divided into the bowl which I thought was different. I had the beef chicken shrimp fish cake and chicken wing skewers. All were tasty but the chicken wing skewer is huge! I also enjoyed the grilled green pepper. Amazing."
"Was so excited that they brought back the collard greens I just had to order. There is something different about the Smoke Shop, and I'm not feeling it. It used to be my favorite place to eat in Boston. I would bring every date there, my friends, my family. I had a whole neighborhood hooked on their burnt ends like I was making illegal deals. Then they got rid of the collard greens, and the burnt ends weren't the same. Now burnt ends still not the same, and collard greens are not as delsish, and what the heck have they put in the beans? It's crunchy. I couldn't tell what it was, but it was like green pepper almost. Don't let me change your mind, tho. The food is still good. It's just not how it was a few years ago. Bring those chefs back, and let's have all the kitchens mirror each other so it's the same no matter which one you go to. Still the best BBQ out here."
"As what I believe is the only AYCE KBBQ spot in Boston proper, I thought this spot was pretty solid. Right next to Northeastern and close to Suffolk/Wentworth, the vibe felt very young and modern. Ventilation was also a but questionable, but hopefully they'll smooth that out as I know it's a pretty new spot. We had a larger party and called ahead for our reservation so we got one of the rooms in the back. I honestly think this spot was only 4 stars due to how we had our own room - I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much if we were in the main area. Service was very solid. They were super attentive and came in at appropriate points for additional orders, water refills, and just delivering food in general as well as replacing grills. The meat was decent quality, nothing amazing, but for AYCE it was good. The sides were also nice - I enjoyed the pancakes and steamed egg soup. There was also ice cream at the end that they serve in small cups. Overall, we had a great experience and wouldn't mind coming back again. The food, service, and ambiance were very solid. Thanks, Omi!"
"This place is a solid 3.5. We had an early weekday dinner around 5:45 and there was no wait. It was a warm spring day, so the door was open but it was quite stuffy inside the restaurant. You order via the QR code on the table. We tried the large dry pot with meat and veggies, Dan Dan noodles, and wontons in chili oil. The dry pot was decent. Portion size was huge but we found that some of the ingredients were overcooked. The taro and fish filet pieces were super dry. Seems like they deep fried them before stir frying with the mala. You choose up to 6 'veggies' that you want and instead of tofu puffs they gave me wide noodles. Not sure if they just didn't have the tofu puffs or they made a mistake. The Dan Dan noodles had kick and lots of flavor and the wontons in chili oil was on the sweeter side which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, affordable prices for a decent meal. Not sure I would wait in line for this place but would come back to try other dishes. Don't expect any service, just flag down waitstaff if you need anything!"
