"I don't get to revere as often as I used to but today was extra special. It 's been 11 months since I've been there. OMG I had a small italian on a seeded roll & wow the best italian sandwich out there. I live 12 miles outside of Portland mE & this puts Ramona's & others to shame. We also ordered a small rare roast beef that was exceptionally good & loaded with meat & cheese. Can't help but buy something sweet. My wife had Cheesecake to die for & I had the best lobster claw ever."
"Excellent brunch meal here with friends. You have to go for the breakfast sandwiches. The fresh baked English muffins take it to the next level, along with other flourishes, and great combos of flavors. Noticed that they have specials. A couple of people in our party got a special sandwich- with egg and chorizo, on a special English muffin- potato chipotle. I imagine they were pleased- all the plates were empty. I got the Miss Maple- a maple butter cheddar and egg sandwich (love salty sweet) on the classic English muffin. They make the eggs medium, but you can request to have them made how you like. We also had a really good scone with lots of walnuts inside. The food is definitely made with care, including attention to all the ingredients. You can tell that they really like supporting local and are discerning (based on the jams, and products in the general store next door)."

Visit Restaurant Page"(Dine Out Boston, August 2022)It would probably come as no surprise that I love dining out. But why? To try things I couldn't make at home. If I can make something, it is about a new interpretation/execution. I also enjoy good service and hospitality. Case in point: breakfast: I am lukewarm about IHOP but adore The Farmer's Daughter (Easton, MA).At Henrietta's Table, the execution, interpretation, and service were on point! I absolutely want to make a return visit. That's five stars in my book - exceeded expectations and a desire to return. I had the opportunity to try the following:- Maine Rock Crab and Corn Chowder- Pig Under a Brick- Pie of the Day- HT GreyhoundThe Maine Rock Crab and Corn Chowder was excellent. It was hearty, savory, flavorful, and well-balanced. They did not skimp on the ingredients (esp. seafood) but did not go overboard. It also did not go too heavy on the salt or the sugar (as corn chowders sometimes tend to do).Pig Under a Brick was a surprising delight. While this resembles pulled pork, while tender, I typically look for sauce. Here, they used watermelon on top, and it was served on a bed of veggies. If enjoyed together, the veggies and watermelon combine stupendously, and the sauce seems like something best left at the BBQ. This is a terrific interpretation of pulled pork, coming from someone who is not a fan of watermelon! The Pie of the Day is not to be missed if you are even remotely a pie lover. The crust was spectacular, crisp, and flaky. Puts those supermarket pies to shame! The filling was terrific as well and was warm (IIRC). Really gave it fresh feelings. Ice cream was a nice touch, too, as a means of balancing out the warmth of the pie. Added some creamy notes as well!HT Greyhound was a well put together drink! It had good strength/booziness, a little sweet, a little tart, a little savory, and very refreshing! Gin isn't my spirit of choice, but this drink makes it work. Then there's the service! It was attentive, fast, and all-around very professional. Service doesn't usually make or break a place, but it is nice to be well taken care of when going out. Also, I miss the brunch buffet, and I wish Henrietta's Table would bring it back!"
"Pros: It's not too loud here, plenty of places to sit, a wide selection of baked goods, relaxing environment, beautiful decor, kind staff, the coffee and food are pretty cheap, the food looks so beautiful as wellTo note: You must purchase at least two pastries, if you purchase the mini pastries.Overall score: A+"
"Love this place. We got our wedding cake here. I asked for a golf themed birthday cake and my mind was blown. Thanks, Lindell's!!!"
"Great breakfast spot - lots of menu options for different levels of hungriness and taste buds, solid coffee, and many fresh pastries. The ordering process is very simple and quick with the touchscreen right at the entrance.I got an avocado toast which was done fast and tasted fresh. It's decent size and comes with an egg and peppers - yum! It wasn't that expensive either. Definitely recommend!"
"So if you're up in MassachusettsAnd you can't deal with sh** and might lose itYou should really just chillCome to Cafe BrasilAnd then after we'll go home and do sexIf the top half of your girlie underwear is feeling poorly, then your Bra's ill. This is an adorable little Brazilian Bakery which I checked out on a couple of occasions now and they make nice Pao De Queijo and other Brazilian Delights like Coxinha.I highly recommend them for all your delicious Brazilian Bakery needs. The woman working here is so adorable as well. Extremely friendly as well with excellent customer service. Not to mention they are absolutely dirt cheap. My other review:This is a lovely little Bakery with really friendly people and the woman working here was really really super nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the warm gooey Pao De Queijo that I bought here and will definitely return. There are a number of bakeries by this name around the region so I guess it might be a chain but this is my favourite so far. This lovely little Brazilian Bakery has excellent PDQ which are the little gooey hot cheese breads and I love that they serve them warm to me. The girl who gave me them was a total sweetheart and seemed to really like me. Friendly people and good products, so definitely a five-star location of this Bakery. Also known as the Padaria Brasil. If you're going to wear a Period Pad, then make sure the Pad Area is the right area, I guess."
"Solid option for bagels, friendly service.Stopped here while in Brookline to get breakfast. There are sandwich options available or you can build your own bagel. I opted for a toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. While the flavor of the bagel was great and it was overflowing with schmeer, it really wasn't toasted enough for my liking, which made the bagel was a bit chewy for my liking."
"I came here after a week long conference in nearby Waltham to try their gluten free Hazelnut Cookie, while the Kouign Amman and chocolate croissants are recommended in the neighboring areas of Somerville and north Cambridge, and the Pain aux Raisins that I got to share later. The Persian touches including the rug on the floor and the Thursday noon Barbaris bread along with the variety of coffee creations evoke an ethnic vibe. Jackie, the girl at the front addressed everyone by name and was very friendly.Outside, there are tables and an igloo."
"I got a crookie from here and it was absolutely delicious! The croissant was baked with cookie in two places- on top and in the middle! The cookie part was a really nice honey consistency. Also this cafe is really cute and the high ceilings are very nice!"
"Visiting Boston and enjoyed Bakey on the way to visit the historical sites nearby. Amazing Chocolate Babkas! yowza! The cheese and spinach tart also delicious.Very crowded and popular and definitely worth the wait !"
"I've been here a couple of times now. Cash only. They have a variety of bagels and muffins to choose from, so get there early so you have more options!! They serve coffee as well. Their muffins are soooooo good. You have to get them grilled! They are delicious and buttery and they grill them to order. They muffins are portioned very generously but go early before they run out of most of their options."

Drove from the South Shore to Revere to pick up the pan pizza! It is delicious! And, priced great! Francine waited on us. She's hard working and outgoing! I've been here quite a few times and she always goes above and beyond!!

I came here on a nice and warm Saturday morning with a group of friends. The shop had a cute vibe to it, but seating was a bit limited. While it wasn't completely packed, it was still tricky to find a spot to sit. One thing I found really cool was the side window where you could order and pick up, perfect if you're on the move. The staff was kind and attentive. And there's a self-serve water station, which was a nice touch as well.I went for the GOAT breakfast sandwich with a jalapeno corn English muffin. It had an egg with spicy pesto and goat cheese. Initially, I didn't expect much because this shop is kind of tucket away from the rest of Union Square, but this was honestly a very good breakfast sandwich. It offered a really unique flavor profile compared to a typical bacon, egg, and cheese. My spice tolerance is pretty good, so I didn't find it unbearable, but I didn't appreciate the small kick that the sandwich had.Overall, it's a great spot for a quicker breakfast/brunch if you don't want to do a sit down experience. I would definitely come here again to try out some more items.

I can say I truly had mixed experiences here at this restaurant. I've had some very good dishes here, such as the house-smoked salmon, duck breast, and pies. And then I find a piece of tile inside my bread. I've had some really nice servers make my visits here enjoyable, while I've had less-than-stellar service experiences of overcharging and ridiculous cake-cutting charges (really, $5 per person???).The restaurant is tucked in the rear of the Charles Hotel, so it's can hard to spot. The decor reminds me of a visit to a friend's colonial-style home in some nice part of New England for lunch. The decor here is rather bright (without being blinding) and inviting. I came here for a rather sizable party and we were overcharged by a significant amount. It took more haggling that I'd like to rectify the situation, and that did not impress me. Not only that, we were told that cake-cutting fee was $5 per person, so just having a cake for 10 people would cost significantly more than the cake itself!Their Restaurant Week menu (n/k/a Dine Out Boston) is one of the more diverse and larger menus, so there's that.

Black Rose European Bakery is the second outpost (Westborough was the first) of an eclectic set of pastries and desserts that astound the senses. The new spot is in the heart of Back Bay - right at the corner of Newbury and Hereford. The venue provides for a spacious and comfortable indoor area as well as a remarkably charming "European" outdoor section. In terms of the offerings, you will find here: tarts, cannolis, mini cheesecakes, standard cheesecakes, mini cakes, cake slices, truffle cake pops, cupcakes, eclairs, panna cotta, brownies, butter cookies, massively decadent cookies, macarons, macaroons, biscotti, embellished croissants, petit fours, and palmiers. Exhausted yet? Moreover, don't forget about the savory items: You'll see a dynamic menu on the wall behind the cashier - with sandwiches of various flavors. I especially enjoyed the mushroom croissant option.Staff is super friendly - willing to answer all your questions about the panoply of delicacies!

Food: The cauliflower melt was soooo good and filling! I recall having it a few years ago in college, but it tasted even better after reuniting with it. Literally melt in my mouth!Service: I ordered online so the food was ready by the time I got there (through the app).Ambiance: Super busy on a Sunday afternoon with families lol, but they offer outdoor seating as well. It felt SO good to reunite with Flour!

We're so glad this place made it through, it's another hidden gem. Everything we get here (even at 5:30 PM, like now) is very satisfying.Highlights from today include:Coxhina (a croquette but with yucca, I think-one of my faves)Pao de quejo (is it dough? Is it cheese? Delicious)Sausage pastry (tons of meat)Beef Sfija - savory (cumin-y?)Surprisingly for the hour everything was actually somewhat warm too, and tasting quite fresh. Yay!Want to try the sweets soon!

I had heard from friends that Kupel's is one of the very few kosher restaurants in Boston, so I was looking forward to trying their offerings. The bakery was bustling around lunch time on a Sunday. The menu is quite fun -- each sandwich is an MBTA stop name colored as its respective MBTA line. But, as I experienced, perhaps the fun naming scheme leads to mixups in making the orders. I ordered the Hynes, which is supposed to have egg salad, lox, tomato, and onion. I ended up having tuna salad in my bagel sandwich instead. The tuna salad was pretty unremarkable. I liked the lox (wish there was more of it), and the bagel was fine. When we went back to ask for the egg salad, they kindly gave us a small tub of egg salad as a replacement. However, I didn't enjoy the egg salad either -- it was not creamy and the egg white pieces were very tiny. I also got the elephant ear pastry, which had some weird discolored speckles on it. One bite that I had tasted like mold, so I ended up tossing it. I wouldn't try their pastries again -- it doesn't seem like they're guaranteed to be fresh.Overall, Kupel's is a very affordable option with a wide array of bagel sandwich combination options. Perhaps too many options...my friend's order got mixed up as well -- it didn't have any of the ingredients it was supposed to have -- and I've heard of more mixups in the past. I think Kupel's is a very important establishment that caters to many dietary restrictions at a reasonable price, and the employees are very nice about making up for wrong orders, but based on my experiences, I probably would not come back. I definitely do not recommend trying the pastries...
Visit Restaurant Page"A lovely bakery in a quiet spot away from the hubbub of the main streets, Clear Flour is a source of delicious and fresh bread and pastries. There's street parking around the shop, which itself is quite small. They have a capacity of three customers. The selection of bread and pastries is always amazing, but you can't go wrong with one of their croissants."
"Delicious cold brew. Great cookies. Came here on a Sunday, the place was overall pretty quiet but there was still a good amount of people here compared to the other stores in the area. Tried the NoLa cold brew which was strong and not too sweet. Had a chocolate chip cookie on the side which was the perfect texture- soft and chewy but not too soft and chewy. Will definitely come back again."
"So happy we stopped in for breakfast. I had a latte which was good. Ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. I didn't like the sausage but the rest was good. A little too much mayo on it but still good. I had to try the sticky bun since I read about it and it did not disappoint. The staff heated it up for me and it was great. Would definitely return just for that or to try other baked goods. Great find!"
"I met Haley House during the pandemic. She was consequently doing her version of shelter-in-place which meant having truncated hours, online ordering and no customers inside. I would say "rude!" except that I understood because the 'rona is real y'all! Additionally, if she weren't playing so much peekaboo, I wouldn't have met one of their cooks (Tony) sitting outside one Thursday morning. He was friendly and kindly told me the hours. If you don't know ANYTHING about Haley House besides what's written on Yelp, I encourage you to do a little work to educate yourself. It would be inconsiderate to rate her anything less than 5 stars because of her nonprofit work. This isn't necessarily about my customer experience, it's about uplifting an entire community of vulnerable individuals. That said, my experience has been excellent. This is the best food I've had in Boston!I started with the Nubian Square Wrap which is made with jerk chicken. So much yes! If you eat on the patio, Haley gives you a bowl of goodness and a hot flatbread (chapati) to wrap it in yourself. There is WAY too much goodness for the flatbread so you'll be able to enjoy it later at home. It's amazing. It has a lot of spice without setting my mouth on fire. The flavors sing like a coordinated choir! The chicken and waffles. OMG. My wife took mine from me and then ordered some for herself the next time. The syrup has a little spice to it and the waffle (or maybe the chicken?) has a hint of coconut. Finally, the pea shoots have such a nice fresh contrast that lifts it all up. Yum yum yum!I had the Mediterranean Wrap last time and my wife stole every other bite. The hummus and roasted broccoli gave me life! It tasted so good, thorough and thoughtful. So many vegetarian wraps taste similar to one another but not this one. I loved it! It paired PERFECTLY with the salad that featured kale, squash, cranberries and seeds. So vibrant and interesting! We've also had the epic chocolate chip cookie. I don't know how to describe it except that it's the best chocolate chip cookie that either my wife or I has had in our entire lives! Finally, we're ordering from the guest chef, an Indigenous person, who is taking us into pre-colonial fare just in time for Thanksgiving. Haley House gave us literature about (basically) the genocide and general disregard of Native Americans and how we should take time to appreciate and uplift them. I can't wait to try the next guest chef menu at Haley House. We also love supporting the Black owned wines and beers that Haley features on her menu. Haley's the best!"
"While in Arlington, Massachusetts had the chance to stop by my favorite family owned local bakery chain. Best and cutest shortbread cookies with granulated sugar on top. I'm a bit addicted really. We stopped in before the start of a summer road trip, so I grabbed one of their sumptuous savory egg and cheese sandwiches on their heavenly buttery flakey croissants for breakfast. I'm a tea drinker myself or else I would have had their coffee as I've seen the numerous reviews raving about their coffee menu. Their loyal counter staff was the friendliest! The ambiance is lovely with a few stool seats in the arched window to watch the charming hamlet Main Street business district world go by or watch one of the talented bakers at the other street window wielding her craft. I'm thrilled to support this idyllic neighborhood baking company whenever in the Boston suburbs of Arlington, Wellesley, Belmont, and most recently Watertown."
"I first went to When Pigs Fly for their Saturday doughnuts. People were lined up in the winter cold to get them! I didn't know what to expect and ordered six. I was surprised when the employee was putting MASSIVE yeast doughnuts into individual boxes and stacking them up in a shopping bag for me. Yikes! Six of their doughnuts was overkill. I liked them, but my wife prefers cake doughnuts so I had to eat FIVE of them by myself which was tall order!Fortunately, I saw that When Pigs Fly main deal is bread and I got a loaf of their most popular one: Baby Spinach, Onion and Garlic Ciabatta for $6. We're SUPER into it and it is now our primary bread. We use it for snacks, sandwiches and whatever else comes to mind. I've also tried their Maple Walnut Banana also for $6 and enjoy it as French Toast. What we discovered is that we need to keep these breads in the fridge otherwise they grow mold. So, pro tip that.ALSO, we love ordering the breads (and cookies) and shipping them to friends and family around the country. It's a big winner! We spring for 2-day express shipping because, well. It's food. And we know that it molds. So I don't know why the 2-day express shipping isn't the default, basic option. But now you know and can try your luck with slower shipping if you feel daring."
"What a cute bakery! We've come here often and what keeps us coming back is the caprese acma. The flavors! The mozzarella, tomato, pesto are the best parts of a typical caprese sandwich. And add an acma to it? The flavor goes off the charts! And when you eat it piping hot, mmmm good.As for their other savory items, I've enjoyed the potato borek, mainly because the potato stuffing has actual spices! It's not plain potato and salt which is such a refreshing change. The mozarella pogaca is good too. Just an FYI, all of this can be quite heavy, so you might want to save some as a snack later.I enjoy their sweet baked goods too. The chocolate and almond caramel tart is such a huge slice (it is for ~$9) but was very tasty. They have cookies, and the almond sugar coated one is my favorite. But the absolute best is the baklava. Wow, the best baklava I've had. It was crisp on the outside, just enough syrup for the sweetness, and fresh pistachios in the center. Why did I only get one serving?!Definitely try this bakery, especially the Turkish delicacies. You'll love it!"
"Stopped in as sounded different and was by Harvard University. There is dangerous step up as approaching counter... I almost tripped over then saw small sign mentioning it? A Harvard lawyer will have field day law suit as measures not adequate of warning the patron... an older person would be on floor... should be marked in Yellow paint or caution lines... or eliminate step with ramp step ?Law suit waiting .... Now to the waffles Ordered the zinnekens with chocolate sauce, homemade whip cream... waffle itself wasn't anything I will write home to grandma about at my visit to Harvard... was freshly made; was very good expected more of a Belgian taste or a sugar crunch texture.Fudge sauce ok, the homemade whip cream was excellent and what it needed. I would have like the waffle with a scoop of French vanilla or a vanilla bean ice cream ? I didn't see option for vanilla ice cream ; but after my initial review the owner or operator responded mentioning vanilla ice cream option.... So my error or make ice cream more visible as a good add on and price upgrade except one to sub whip cream for Oreo ice cream for 2 dollars extra... vanilla better with a waffle...Was fair priced, good desert but not the extra pizaz or higher level I wanted... should add ice cream offerings, waffle ice cream sandwich Chocolate chip or shortbread or other flavor waffles... orange fruit waffle with scoop orange sherbet would be a summer weather treat... Coffee offerings looked like a good compliment to waffles ... a sugar cookie waffle again with coffee expresso ice cream or vanilla bean would be a draw me in desert... employees all cool and friendly atmosphere to mingle over a coffee expresso... a s'mores waffle with chocolate, marshmallow, Carmel, vanilla ice cream with expresso bean shavings... I'd buy in heartbeat at high end price..."
"We headed to Sofra solely based on Yelp reviews and proximity to where we were. When we got there, the lines were almost out the door and both the inside and outside seating was practically filled to capacity. That is usually a good sign!We ordered the breakfast sandwich and the strawberry sweet cheese brioche. While we waited for our order, two seats at a communal table opened up, so we snagged them. My pastry was so good and my husband enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. The inside is quaint and lots of people were packed in there with the limited seating. They also sell prepackaged goods and sandwiches."
"I love their friendly prices! For $10 I can get a full breakfast platter: pancakes, meat, eggs and a drinks! My favorite is the green iced latte! And I can see they have a wide variety of flavors of syrups!"
"Interesting, smaller GH location. Decent sandwich spot for when Im working in the area. Convenient online ordering. The weird thing is that every time Ive ordered a sandwich, the bread has been cold. I dont mean not-warm, Im not expecting warm bread. I mean literally well refrigerated or possibly recently-thawed from the freezer. One time they had not made my online sandwich order because he didnt hear the printer go off. He made it right away but they didnt have any more of the bread type in the sandwich prep area. He came out from behind the counter and grabbed a loaf off of the sales rack to use for my sandwich. That bread was also ICE COLD. I really dont think they bake any bread on site."
"I used to shop here with my family for years. It has been 31 years since my return. We stopped in for cheeses, dips and other Armenian treats. The selection is expansive and the service, friendly and helpful. I did not see a lot of food from Armenian but certainly "Aegean" and other med areas. I may have missed some."
"Affordable, tasty, & Boston metro area aren't usually in any of my sentences together, yet for the quality of their food & service, 3 Little Figs delivers on all three!I had a scratch made biscuit breakfast sandwich and a brewed coffee for $10, which was a great way to start my day.Lunch sandwiches are $10 and looked delicious as well. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Somerville!"
"Saw a sign that stated "The Popover Lady" located inside the Boston Public Market, directly outside of Haymarket and next to the Haymarket Orange Line MBTA Station. Really friendly lady and gentleman who helped us. We bought 3 popovers, Onion, Plain, and Asiago Cheese. Very delicious, fluffy, not dry and delicious."
"Having been airborne since 6a and just landed, I was hongry. So I looked up whatever was near the end of the red line and here we are. A very quiet area, there is literally nobody, and no traffic. They are nestled within a big ol' warehouse with plenty of parking, and absolutely zero seating in the establishment. I'm eating my goods on a bench on the side of the road. The coffee is your regular drip. Not weak, so I respect it. Bianca's Mortadella was solid. Not flashy, or write home about but the BREAD though. If you have a yeast addiction, check this place out! They have options, they're fresh, and tasty."
"Yum! stopped by on a Wednesday for their $3 sourdough special. It's a decent sized loaf, and the bread tastes super fresh. Had to freeze most of it to endure freshness, looking forward to enjoying it in future days!"
"I hadn't been here in a really long time and the smell of the cookies baking drew me to the counter. My BF saw the big, beautiful cookies and couldn't resist. Tye counter lady was friendly and likely entained by the fawning over the opulent confections. We bought one to start and went off to find lunch at a local stand I go to each time I'm in town. Before we could even order lunch, we knew we'd be back to buy more cookies. He ended up getting three chocolate chip with pecans and a peanut butter! Somehow they made it back to NYC but we were sorry we didn't get more."
"An amazing little French bakery in Medford. I came here on the weekend (the day before they closed for summer break) and there was a short line of people waiting. It's a small bakery that has a few tables and seats inside, but there are also tables and umbrellas outside to enjoy your drink and pastries. I ordered an almond croissant, pain au chocolate, kouign amann, caramel brioche, and a passion tart. I enjoyed every single pastry with the passion tart being my favorite. The almond croissant was flakey and had great flavor, while the brioche was super soft and had a crunchy topping. The passion tart is not only cute, but super tasty with a meringue base with cream, and the passion fruit flavoring in the middle packs a punch of tartness. They also have baguettes and serve different drinks. I can't wait to try all the other goods when they reopen after the summer holiday."
"Went for dessert, line moved much quicker here. Touristy dessert spot in the North End. I had both Mike's & Modern. I preferred Modern. The Ricotta was fresh and tasty. So good."
"The oatmeal raisin cookie is fine. The iced coffee - if you want cold brew, they have bottled Fazenda in the cooler (again, this is a coffee shop) - is good. The wifi doesn't work well. Lots of window seating. It's... fine. The biggest irk? At 5:10p, all the outdoor seating was piled away, the trash cans were pulled to the middle of the small interior, with full bags replaced and left next to active seating, the mop and bucket were being used to literally clean the floor around my feet, all the baked goods were wrapped and stashed, and the dairy had been pulled from the floor. Sorelle's posted hours have them closing at 6:00p. Which they did. Lights off and patrons kicked out at six on the dot.Look, I'm all about expediting side work, but you have customers leaving their employ, wanting a little caffeine kick, and you're vibing out an "open but not really" atmosphere nearly an hour before closing. This sort of race to the finish is extremely off-putting, and left a bitter taste with in my mouth. Which is coffee's job, not the coffee shop."
"Great cozy cafe. The staff are super friendly and most of the drinks are made from scratch. The cafe is small and has a small outdoor patio. I highly recommend the matcha lemonade, it is not too sweet but very refreshing."
"Truly amazing pasteis de nata, Portuguese custard tarts! They're always coming out of the oven (at least the first 3 times we've gone). Also have Speedwell coffee, great addition to Coolidge Cirner and ho early worth the trip!"
"TASTY TREATS FOR A GREAT PRICE!I work around the area and my coworker recommended this place for their bread. I've been here a handful to times and haven't gotten the bread (yet), but I have tried a bunch of their sweet treats. Their prices are great...compared to the North End - probably half to a third cheaper. Here's what I've tried, and check the pics I've posted to go along with this:- Cream cheese danish ($1) - it's good, but there could be a little more cream cheese. The danish part is soft and has a drizzle of frosting on it.- Assorted cookie bag ($1) - 7 cookies. The blue sprinkled egg shaped cookies ARE SO GOOD. They are a little soft, not what I would have expected based on the type of cookie, but it is only that much better. And sprinkles only make it better. The pink cookie half covered in chocolate is SO FLAVORFUL. I didn't expect much from just looking at it but it's packed with flavor. There is also a chocolate covered cookie with a jellybean on top. - Chocolate croissant ($1.25) - large crescent shaped croissant filled with milk chocolate. This croissant is bigger and cheaper than Starbucks' chocolate croissant, which is fantastic...more bang for your buck. Also, the chocolate is creamier...like it's not a hard chocolate since it's been melted into the croissant. - Apple scone type treat ($1.25) - I don't know the name of this, and couldn't pronounce it for you after hearing the woman say it. It looks like a calzone, but it has a fruit filling inside. The calzone shell is a pretty hearty cookie, not flaky like an apple turnover shell.- Canolli ($1) - haven't tried these but my friends say they are good.BOTTOM LINE: If you're in the area, and have a hankering for something sweet, stop by A & L. It's a nice small bakery with great prices. I want to try the black and white (75 cents) and their other cookie (50 cents) that's probably a little smaller than my hand."
