"Exodus is consistent. It's been more than 4 years since I last had a bagel from here and it delivers. The one thing this time: I asked for light on the cream cheese and I literally got enough cream cheese for three bagels. It's not a deal breaker but just be cautious and maybe ask for it on the side. I'll try that next time. Crispy, lighthearted bagels that are really just excellent!!"
"Solid option for bagels, friendly service.Stopped here while in Brookline to get breakfast. There are sandwich options available or you can build your own bagel. I opted for a toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. While the flavor of the bagel was great and it was overflowing with schmeer, it really wasn't toasted enough for my liking, which made the bagel was a bit chewy for my liking."
"I found this bagel shop walking near south street Amtrak stop, and decided to go in to get me a bagel. Quality has gone downhill since the last time I ate from here two months ago. I ordered a toasted bagel with creamcheese and my friend got egg and cheese on bagel. We waited about 15 minutes with three other people in front of us - fine, I understand it's busy during lunch time. However, upon receiving our order, the order was such a disappointment. My bagel wasn't toasted, was small, and was just ok. My friend's sandwich looked premade. He tossed half of it because it tasted like plastic and wasn't even warm. He said the eggs were the most disgusting thing. I would love to like this place, but overall can't justify ever paying $17 for two bagels ever again. And to think some of their bagel sandwiches go up to close to $20! I just think for the price, the quality is no longer thereThe staff were nasty and didn't care about customers coming in to the store. You're better off getting something from Dunkin' Donuts!!"
"Ordered takeout for Father's Day and couldn't have been happier with the meat, service, and pricing. We had corned beef (both reg and lean) and pastrami and everyone was happy.Owner provided great personal service. Cash or Venmo only."
"Best donuts I've had in the Boston area! You can order ahead for takeout, but not on the same day over the weekends. We didn't realize it until pretty late so we paid a premium to order pickup through GrubHub (each donut is $0.75 more). Nothing grinds my gears more than paying these markups and service fees, but it was worth it. We ordered Boston Cream, Jelly, Nutella and Oreo Cookie. The Oreo was good, but didn't fit my fancy. The others were all really good! A nice, soft dough with traditional fillings. I was so pleased that it didn't have that oily-fried-greasy flavor that so many others donut shops have. Also, they didn't try to make donuts "artisan" (looking at you, Blackbird). The donuts are so substantially sized that they could use a bit more filling to improve the ratio, because it's all about the ratios hahaIf only they delivered (we're out of the delivery zone, even through GH). Looking forward to trying other flavors next time."
"I have found myself on a mission to try every place in HSP. One morning, Mamaleh's found itself next, and I can safely tell you: they do things very well! Everything was fresh and delicious! I ordered an L.E.O. (Lox, egg, and caramelized onion on a challah roll with dill mayo). The egg was blended with caramelized onions. The proportions were on point, and the onions added some lovely savory and sweet notes. The challah gave some sweetness as well! While I am typically not a fan of sweet sandwiches, here it is gentle enough that it works! Besides, I can't only get my morning dose of sugar in the form of glazed donuts at Dunkies...not that there is anything wrong with that. Glazed donuts are delicious! It wasn't all sweet; this is where the dill mayo comes in. While I was hesitant initially, it added a whole new dimension to the sandwich. In tandem, the dill and mayo add a perfect, subtle amount of tang and their own savory notes. Egg, bread, mayo, and herbs are good and fine, but the lox is the star. In addition, it is the primary point of contrast to the other ingredients, both in texture and salt content. Regrettably, the amount of lox was somewhat lacking, especially compared to the amount of egg/caramelized onion. I knew it was in there, but there was not enough to make an adequate impact. Finally, the service here was excellent. The owner was very kind, professional, and personable. Considering the freshness, the speed was fine as well.I will make a return visit, but this time I will ask for double lox!"
"Soooo glad to have another bagel place in Cambridge! The bagels were great quality--soft on the inside, with a good crust on the outside. Only complaint was that the bagels were on the smaller side. Love all the creative cream cheese flavors they had--the beet, dill, horseradish cream cheese had such good flavor (with an extra little kick from the horseradish). I haven't tried them yet, but they also have a variety of dips, pastries, and I think they cure their salmon in-house (!!!). The interior is super cute and well designed, in love with the branding for this place. I believe they have just started making full bagel sandwiches, but I haven't had the chance to try. Will be coming again to try more bagels and sandwiches!"
"Friendly service and fast, first time trying out this spot for bagels and was very happy with the quality. The bagel was nice and crispy once toasted, the right amount of chew and texture. Good cream cheese as well"
"Found in the Boston Public Market, we went to Bagel Guild as my companion desperately was seeking out bagels.Apparently this place had great reviews on Google, and after going, I don't see what the hype is. This to me was a pretty average bagel. The bagels are affordable for their size and they love slathering on the cream cheese. You can honestly do worse, much like you can do better. See for yourself and let me know what you think. /shrug"
"The bagels here are very well-known around the city and I do think they live up to the hype. The bagels are not cheap but are a tasty non-NYC option.I came here on a Friday in the late morning. You order at the counter and then take your number to whatever table is open, and bus your own table afterwards. The food came out quick.I got the nova lox sandwich ($13.75) on an everything bagel. The cream cheese was thick and filled the bagel hole in the middle! I wouldn't have minded a larger portion of lox but there was enough to get lox in every bite. I was impressed by how much they packed the bagel with everything seasoning. This is a bagel to stay away from if you are on a date and don't want to be caught with seeds in your teeth.I also tried their latkes ($8.50) which were super delicious fresh. The outside was so crispy and crunchy! The inside was perfectly cooked. The portions are not super big so this isn't the most budget-friendly spot."

Exodus bagels is one of the only bagel shops in Boston that I actually, genuinely enjoy. It's always a "yes" as opposed to most other places where I debate if it's worth the subpar bagel experience and wasted calories. For anyone who's read my reviews of other bagel places, I'm pretty harsh and picky, so this means a lot haha No, they're not NY bagels, but they are soft, chewy and flavorful. They also have a nice assortment of bagel and cream cheese flavors, which they apply quite generously. Online ordering is also clutch to avoid waiting. Minus one star for:- hours (closed Monday/Tuesday and only open until 1pm other days)- it's not uncommon for them to run out of bagels well before 1pm, therefore kinda cutting their hours short. Bagels start running out usually by 10am, sometimes earlier - bagels aren't cut in half....why?

I had heard from friends that Kupel's is one of the very few kosher restaurants in Boston, so I was looking forward to trying their offerings. The bakery was bustling around lunch time on a Sunday. The menu is quite fun -- each sandwich is an MBTA stop name colored as its respective MBTA line. But, as I experienced, perhaps the fun naming scheme leads to mixups in making the orders. I ordered the Hynes, which is supposed to have egg salad, lox, tomato, and onion. I ended up having tuna salad in my bagel sandwich instead. The tuna salad was pretty unremarkable. I liked the lox (wish there was more of it), and the bagel was fine. When we went back to ask for the egg salad, they kindly gave us a small tub of egg salad as a replacement. However, I didn't enjoy the egg salad either -- it was not creamy and the egg white pieces were very tiny. I also got the elephant ear pastry, which had some weird discolored speckles on it. One bite that I had tasted like mold, so I ended up tossing it. I wouldn't try their pastries again -- it doesn't seem like they're guaranteed to be fresh.Overall, Kupel's is a very affordable option with a wide array of bagel sandwich combination options. Perhaps too many options...my friend's order got mixed up as well -- it didn't have any of the ingredients it was supposed to have -- and I've heard of more mixups in the past. I think Kupel's is a very important establishment that caters to many dietary restrictions at a reasonable price, and the employees are very nice about making up for wrong orders, but based on my experiences, I probably would not come back. I definitely do not recommend trying the pastries...

I was in mood for a real pastrami sandwich. I ordered the Thorty Black and Gold ... excellent hot sandwich... the blend of pastrami, cheddar, hot peppers just a few was perfect , he mustard mix.. sandwich a little bigger for 14 bucks would be fairer ... but I'll ignore with Biden inflation .potato salad side was 1.45 add on and a little steep for size ; it was fresh and tasty . The pickle can with the sandwich was my perfect pickle... not sour , fresh and perfect to go with pastrami... Owner seems personable and a working owner and knows the regulars. Pastrami was right on point for my Jewish delis pastrami expectations...The brisket is next visit .... I drive many miles for this sandwich ....I recommend the front door, exterior entrance needs a coat of paint .

Solid doughnuts and bagels. If you love a classic doughnut, this is the place. They have both cake and yeast options and a few fun flavors like strawberry fruity pebbles and maple glazed with bacon. By the time we got there by noon, a lot of the options were gone though. We also got the salmon lox bagel. Warning - the salted bagel does come loaded with salt. You get a lot of lox and cream cheese as well so it gets real messy but it's a tasty mess.

Came here for a bagel before work. It wasn't super busy so was able to get my bagel within 5 minutes of ordering.Everything bagel with dill cream cheese - everything bagel was a little dense and very chewy. The dill cream cheese was unique and added a nice flavor dimension.

For a ridiculously priced $9 bagel egg N cheese there better be diamonds in there instead of burnt bagel. The bagel egg N cheese was def not worth $9 and it was smaller than Dunkin donuts size probably smallest i have seen till today . There was nothing Artisan about it other than that it was burnt.I am not sure how people can literally pay this prices for the portion that they had . Luckily i just wanted to try it out since i pass by it everyday but now i know i wont be stopping there anymore.

This place was so delicious. We went around closing time but they still served us which was really kind. The prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are super filling and delicious. The inside filling is refreshing and you can tell that the ingredients are fresh. The ambiance was adorable too and was decorated really cute.
Visit Restaurant Page"This place was packed noon on a Saturday and we had to wait in line for 5 min to place our order as things kept selling out.Good;- The bagel was so cheap and simple yet the rosemary cream cheese elevated the experience so much that it was so tasty and memorable.- Nice beautiful seating inside, wooden aesthetic Bad:- Sells out super quick Overall would come back for super unique bagels."
"Five stars for my UberEats orders. Simple things can be rated 5 stars too! 1.) fried potatoes are absolutely BOMB! 2.) hearty portions of fries with your sandwich order 3.) the chicken noodle soup is fantastic"
"Misjudged this place on my first visit and really glad I went back for a second try. To be honest, the bagels are pretty average. If you simply want the best bagel you can get in the area, I would probably recommend Turenne or Bagelsaurus first as these bagels are a little more bready. However, here it's all about the bagel sandwiches. They have a huge variety of creative and interesting bagel sandwiches, including an anchovy special! I especially appreciated that they have 5+ different vegan sandwiches. I had the Magnolia Avenue which was stuffed with two vegan breakfast sausage patties, vegan cheddar, arugula, tomato, jalapeno, barbecue sauce, hummus, and vegan spread. It was so tasty and filling! The jalapeno added a great kick. I think the vegan breakfast sausage might even be homemade because I didn't recognize it as any plant-based sausage I've bought, and the patties were huge! The vegan cream cheese is tofu-based. All the spreads are made in-house. Inside it is a classic NY deli vibe. The person assisting us (Gagandeep I think) was super friendly and a great salesperson. Overall I will definitely come back, especially for the creative bagel sandwiches!"
"Goldilox is pretty good but sadly, I still haven't come across anything that remotely approaches the NYC gold standard. Take a gander at my photo. See that tiny smidge of cream cheese in the eye of the bagel? That should be a giant honking globule, the kind you poke out with your finger and stuff in your mouth the first thing when you unwrap it. Boston, you are absolutely WEAK when it comes to bagels. There, I said it. That said, the bagel at Goldilox was solid, good amount of chew, though pretty doughy and a touch too sweet. The Ready to Lox bagel gives you tomato, onion, capers, lox, CC, bagel for around $10, which isn't bad. Best part of the bagel was the garden veggie cream cheese; I'm not a huge CC person but I'd eat that with a spoon on its own. They recommend pre-ordering which threw me off a little when I went there to order in person. Not to keep harping on the NYC comparisons but I do miss just walking inside a bagel place and picking out a bagel. The hours are Friday and weekend mornings only: I suppose they've figured out their most profitable times (and, hey, good on them for being able to work a reduced work week) but the hours are baffling for my own selfish reasons. Like, what if I want a bagel at 2pm on a Tuesday?? This just speaks to the total lack of competition for good bagels. Or it's a remnant from COVID times. One last note: It's tiny inside so definitely a grab and go space. Street parking available."
"No-frills but high-quality regular bagel pop-up slinging pickup orders out of a tiny space adjacent to South End Buttery. Gigantic bagels, served piping hot both times I visited. Crusty outside, fluffy inside, ample toppings (I tried rosemary sea salt and everything). Decent but unspectacular cream cheese. No bagel sandwiches, just very good bagels ready to rip and dip into the cream cheese of choice. There is a bit of a hassle: You gotta follow them, order online days in advance during a small window of time, and potentially wait in line on pickup. No napkins, no plates, no cutlery, but service is quick and pleasant. Pricing not unreasonable. The line moves quickly. On the bright side, because there's a relationship with South End Buttery, you can bring your bounty there-- which I highly recommend, as the coffee and pastries are good, space is comfy, and staff is great."
"Decent bagel ... had an egg everything bagel with creme cheese and a iced coffee .After ordering - staff will bring items to you outside while you waitGood option for quick breakfast if you are in this area Came here because it was close to my hotel"
"Bagel me. Bagel now. Me a bagel needing a lot of now. I just got the most 'everything' everything bagel from here. I mean this beast was totally jam packed with seasoning on ALL sides. Bottom and top. I like mine double toasted to get that dark brown crunch, and plain cream cheese on the side. Really hits the spot"
"This chain served up a robust cup of coffee with a nice selection of baked goods. They also had beans from one of my favorite roasters. A long shop with lots of seating but it can get a bit loud. With only window on one end there is not much natural light."
"We stopped in on a busy weekday morning. I had looked at menus online before our visit, but their menu has changed and they no longer offer omelettes or crepes. They do have great breakfast sandwich options.I ordered an egg sandwich and a latte. Both were served pretty quickly. The latte was perfect, it hit the spot. The sandwich was piping hot, good portions, and very filling.Great place to grab breakfast & coffee while in Brighton."
"Save your money! Looks good, tastes bad! Sorry, but go somewhere else and thank me later! Tourist trap, I wished I did more research."
"So incredibly happy to finally find bagels that actually would rival NY/NJ bagels in Massachusetts! I've been on the hunt for good bagels in the Boston area for so long and these definitely are top tier. Note that this is a very small mom & pop style bagel shop with no indoor seating and only street parking. They also serve bagels very differently than other places I've been to. For example, I ordered a sesame bagel with lox & chive cream cheese, and the bagel was served to me cut in half with the cream cheese in a separate container. Luckily they provided knives to assemble your bagel, but it did take me by surprise. Another difference is that they don't toast bagels here, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker for you because these bagels are served fresh and warm from the oven. I loved the sesame bagel that I tried - it was perfectly soft and warm on the inside while also being slightly crispy and chewy on the outside, exactly what I'm looking for in my bagels. The lox & chive cream cheese was also tasty and was the perfect amount of salty and savory goodness. Next time I visit I'll make sure to get a bunch of extra bagels to savor!"
"Very cute coffee place, centrally located to the T. I don't drink coffee so I can't weigh in on the caffeinated options but I do love a good bagel sandwich. I went with the green egg and cheese on a plain bagel. Hailing from the land of excellent bagels, the bagel here was okay, but hard to judge the true quality of a bagel when it's been toasted. I liked the combo of spinach, eggs, and cheese, though wished the eggs were a tad fluffier - I'll try making this at home. We got out food pretty quickly despite the long line of people waiting. (With that said, I thought there could have been some better crowd control with the massive line in front - everyone was clumping together right in front of the door, which made getting in and out difficult.)The menu has a ton of other options, including avocado toast, grilled cheese, a variety of pastries, and cold sandwiches/salads. Jamie's ice cream is right next door - there's also a refrigerated section in Brothers & Sisters with pints. To no surprise, Saturday mornings are absolutely packed, but we didn't have to wait very long for a table to open up. They have some indoor seating as well as tables outside."
"Really cute neighborhood place with nice staff and good food. Stopped in for a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel - which was very good - and coffee. The staff is super friendly, including a woman who I believe is the owner. Prices are decent, $18 for two bacon egg and cheeses and two medium coffees (one hot and one iced). The feel of a neighborhood place where the staff would get to know you is a definite part of the appeal, in addition to good food. I would like to return and try some of the other food, like paninis and the breakfast special which sounded great. I look forward to frequenting here!"
"First visit wasn't the best....teh service was friendly enough, thought I had to repeat things 2-3 times till they got it. I ordered an everytihng bagel, toasted, with veggie cream cheese on the side, and a hot earl grey tea. When i got my order, i tried to go to the dining room side (around the back and on the other side of the stairs to the apartments above, and was told "the dining room is closed" (at 4:15pm). Don't know why that was, but I realy wanted a sit down break from work, and had to take my order to go, because the two window counter spaces were taken up.So here are the + and -'s of this place:+ - Open later than both Tattee and Pavement (which inexplicably on a college campus close at 4pm)- Devent array of baked goods and drinks, mostly done well (based on the bagel (Pavement gets this order wrong half the time -- not a hard order either.)-- veggie cream cheese seems to be the same as the vegggie cream cheese at Dunkins, wich means a little bitter and processed looking / tasting (vs the fresh veggies in Pavement's)- The Everything Bagel didn't have much "everything" on the top, and none on the bottom. (Pavement and Jaho in the South End both serve much better bagels)I'll try it again, but only because it's open later than the places i'd rather go...."
"First time checking out The Bagel Table and I will definitely be back! They have all your breakfast staples, which include fresh bagels with cream cheese or sandwich options, coffees, teas, and even muffins. I ordered a sesame bagel toasted with plain cream cheese and it hit the spot before work. I also tried their iced coffee with vanilla and almond milk which was good as well.I had never been to Boston Landing before, so I was pleasantly surprised with the vibes here. It has that city feel but it's still laid back and tucked away...my perfect mix. There is two-hour street parking, as well as a garage. I believe the garage is free for up to 30 minutes. It took me a few tries to find a parking spot on the street but it wasn't too bad. Will be back!"
