This restaurant was clean, fast seating. You order using a QR code on the table. We ordered: soup dumplings, Mala dumplings, duck noodle soup, dandan noodles, and chongqing noodles! Everything was delicious, and the pricing was not bad at all. The food came out fast as well. The soup dumplings were a good size and the skin wasn't too thick or thin. 10/10 would definitely come back!!

Pretty good food! I was excited for their soup dumplings since it's in the name but I was very underwhelmed. But I came back and ordered other noodle and soup dishes and those were so good! The wonton in chili was my favorite. 4/5 (wicked flavorful)Then braised beef noodle soup. 4/5 (beef was tender, and the soup was soothing for the cold weather)Then the pork Intestine Noodle 3/5 (honestly the smell just bothered me a little too much to enjoy it fully. But the taste was very good!)The restaurant is very efficient with their QR code scan to order method. Good comes out very fast and the servers are so sweet!

Food was really authentic Chinese food. I brought my friends who were not familiar with Chinese food and they all loved it. They were experimental.Service could've been better by being more attentive to our needs. I felt like I had to go out of my way to get the servers attention.

Liked it! Especially the wonton soup. I thought it was a bit expensive for what it is. The soup dumplings were pretty average in terms of flavor (meaning nothing especial), and the wrapper was too thick.

There are so manyWonderful restaurants in the Allston area it Can be hard to choose. Luckily, I had expert guidance; my daughter lives down the street and she dines here regularly. We were seated immediately and welcomed in.Her advice was to start with the steamed dumplings filled with pork, in a sesame soy sauce. They arrived hot and delicious. Next we ordered soup dumplings, a new experience for me. These are noodle pouches filled with meat and... soup! I needed a lesson on how to eat these. As warned, my first bite resulted in a small soup projectile as my chop stick pierced the outer dumpling shell. Everyone laughed and other than a messy presentation, the result was a delicious new experience!Next we ordered our meal. I had the crisped pork belly over gluten free noodles with peanuts and jalapeños which were surprisingly hot. You know I am enjoying my food when the sweat forms on my brow and I need to blow my nose! Wow, it was a unique and wonderful combination of flavors and texture. My daughter had a beef noodle bowl with a unique and delightful flavor profile, and she loved it.There is a refrigerated case in the rear with unique beverages. I had the herbal tea and while flavorful, was too sweet for my taste. We ended our visit feeling well fed and satisfied, a perfect start to a great evening!

This restaurant is very unassuming but has a big menu. They specialize in soup dumplings but offer noodle dishes, meat, and more. It was pretty empty when I went so the service was very attentive haha! For food, we got spicy cold noodles, Chengdu dumplings, pork and leek soup dumplings, and spicy cold chicken. The noodles were good with a bouncy texture and nice sauce. The Chengdu dumplings came in a sweeter sauce and the wrapper was super slippery and unique. Unfortunately, the soup dumplings were disappointing. The wrapper was incredibly thick so it was hard to eat, but the inside soup wasn't bad. The chicken was also okay but it was too salty and greasy. There are definitely items on the menu that are better than others but still worth a try!

We were in search of soup dumplings in Boston and heard of this place. Given that "soup dumplings" is in their name, we were hopeful they would be good. I was somewhat disappointed with the soup dumplings. They were very large but very doughy. There was a decent amount of soup but it lacked flavor. The scallion pancakes and noodle soup with ground pork were pretty good. The shrimp dumplings were ok too. You can order by scanning the QR code on the table and leave a google review by tapping the NFC tag on the table. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering.

Excellent soup dumplings, perfect for a blisteringly cold night! We tried to get into Mountain House and was quoted a 1.5 hour wait; walked a few steps over to BSD and only had to wait 10 minutes. Just a note - we came at around 7pm and the place was jam-packed with people waiting by the door. By 7:30, we were only a few tables left after the dinner bum-rush had cleared. So next time I'm in the mood for dumplings, I'd definitely come near the later end. Service was quick but friendly. You order by scanning a QR code. I liked how you can modify the spice level of every dish and request, for instance, no scallions or extra. Everything comes out to the table freshly prepared. We ordered:1. Crunchy garlic cucumbers: This made my breath stink to high heaven for the rest of the night but for anyone who loves garlic, this is for you. 2. Wood ear mushrooms: I love the texture of wood-ear but the sauce they were doused in was a bit too vinegary and spicy. One of the few dishes we didn't lick clean. 3. The Wuhan dry-heat noodles and the Beijing soy bean noodles. Loved both of these, would definitely get again. The Beijing noodles had a great nutty dark sauce on the bottom, but the bowl was a little too small for mixing.4. The pork and crab/pork dumplings. Not the best iterations I've consumed but pretty good. The wrapper was a little thick for my taste but the broth was very tasty and it was nicely structured so you could eat it without scalding your tongue. Also, for anyone looking for solo dining, there's a row of stools along the window where you can slurp your dumplings in piece.PARKING: Street parking impossible along this stretch but if you head down one street to Commonwealth, there is metered parking that's free after 6pm on Saturdays.

I was drawn in by the Roast Duck Noodle Soup - when I saw it, I knew that would be dinner for the night!Walking into Boston Soup Dumplings on Friday night, the restaurant was pretty full. The whole interior is made up of tables for seating. You have to order using a QR code, which probably makes the food come out faster. Of course I ordered the soup but I was slightly disappointed. The broth didn't have that much flavor and the duck was mostly bone. To be fair, it did mention on the menu that the broth wasn't spicy. I noted that and added some chili oil which definitely kicked it up a notch. The meat that was on the duck was beautifully seasoned - downright delicious! But there was so little of it, I found myself searching through the bone/skin/fat pieces trying to find more meat. Not sure if it was just my bowl or that's the way its served. Overall, it was a good experience and I know they're known for heir dumplings, so maybe I'll try that next time!

Getting cold and dark early in Boston. After a long day at work, I just wanted a bowl of hot beef noodle soup with steamed or stir-fried veggies. Ordered delivery and food nicely packed and arrived within 30 mins at the hotel lobby. I like the options to pick less or more spicy numbing or less salty. Happy simple meal staying lazy and warm in the hotel during the cold days in Boston.
