It's halal and Turkish! Located in the heart of the financial district, perfect if you're looking for halal meat options. They do NOT have a buffet as listed on google, but they do have a make your own bowl option where you can ask for anything and everything on your bowl. I got my own bowl made with all types of meat: lamb, beef, chicken and salmon along with different veggies and sauces. It was delicious and too much food for the buck! There's plenty of seating in the basement. The owner was very nice, and when we told him that we are here for the first time; he gave us a couple pieces of baklava free as a welcome gesture!

Boston Kebab House is no more. :(I walked on by and noticed a new name on the store - Beantown Kebab & Gyro Turkish Cuisine. They are still using the same sort of lunchtime signage outside though. So I have high hopes that my favorite French fries are still available...

I used to really enjoy their hot/cold "salad" bar before the pandemic, but I admit, I feel a little strange partaking these days. I decided to try their shawarma plate. The hummus and shepherd salad were really enjoyable, as were the lean shawarma pieces. But, there were too many really gristly pieces - I wish they would trim the meat better prior to cooking. The falafel had nice flavor, but an interesting texture. Unlike most falafel I eat, these were really dense "soggy" - not the crispy, airy light falafel I get elsewhere. Overall, a decent lunch option with good variety for local folks on lunch break, and a small downstairs area to eat if you don't want to take lunch back to your office.

I haven't been this place in a while since I don't go into the office very much. This spot was very popular pre-pandemic. Folks really liked their salad bar. My favorite which I register was the chicken tandoori plate. The plate comes with four sides, I got the bean salad, avocado salad, taboulleh, and Shepard salad. It's great to have different options where most places you get to choose one side or two max. It was different not having a rice option, but the taboulleh was sufficient for folks who need a carb. The best part is something you have to look out for is their basil pesto aioli. It is delicious! Dip your chicken in it and you won't regret it! For lunch it's a little higher on the price side $16 vs 12/13 of something similar but you get that variety of sides which makes up for it. I prefer more options, it makes every bite a little different.

The food is amazing here. Same with the service. Every time I come, they give me free kababs to try. Today they even gave us free baklava. The baklava was melt-in-my-mouth decadent. For my plate, I got a classic mixed plate. It was really good! I highly recommend trying Boston Kebab. Everyone is really friendly and considerate.

I'm writing about their "new" operation in Waltham, the former DEMO'S. The take out "service" was absolutely the WORST that I have experienced at a local restaurant of this type. The head cashier is extremely polite but totally clueless when it came to expediting my order or "any" order for that matter! I had ordered a simple "meatloaf" dinner with rice and salad. Everything is pre-made and just has to be put together. I sat waiting for over twenty-five minutes. In the meantime there was a steady stream of men entering the kitchen and engaging in multiple conversations (all in Spanish) with the cooks and prep-staff! I will NEVER return to this facility (I can't call it a restaurant). Crappy service, indolent staff and below average food!

Takeout from the Kebab House, I selected the lamb shish plate and three sides. A serious portion of lamb chunks here that were meaty and not greasy at all. Flavorful. The rice was also tasty. As sides, the grape leaves were excellent, the falafel a little dry and the tabbouleh was tasty. Definitely a full meal here.I can see a need to get lunch from these folks again soon.

The food is good. Chicken Kababs were moist and flavorful. The baked pita and complimentary humus is a step up from Demos. Turkish and regular tea (coffee too I think) is complimentary. The dining area is the same as it was when it was demos and has a family atmosphere with plenty of kids about. And of course the lighting matches ambiance. So it's not fine dining or date night material but great food and easy on the wallet. And chef has been on the front line and accessible to help with questions or any small issues we've had.

Visited at a peak time, service was great, did not wait at all. Salads aren't the strongest and understandably because the main course is delicious and very filling. Our party of 4 shared everything and still took a to go box. Family atmosphere, friendly servers. Great for a casual dinner
