We went here for lunch today. It was very good and better than I expected.The interior is casual and clean. Moderate noise level. The restaurant is divided. The main dining area on one side and the bar area on the other side. They also have a cool patio area outside. It's moderately priced. The Lobster roll was a little pricey, so I skipped it for today.There are plenty of TV's to watch a game on. There are 2 pay to park lots within 1 block of the restaurant. It cost us $9.00 to park for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I got the fish and chips sampler because I wanted to try 3 of the 4 pieces of fish that they offer.They were all great. The fries were cooked well and were tasty. My wife got the New England style fish as it isn't available on the sampler and she got a cup of Clam Chowder for a starter. Our server was Bailey and she was great. The Fish entrees were out to our table in about 20 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh. I can't say enough about the Fish. It's so good. I'm definitely going back. By the way- My favorite out of the 3 pieces I had was the Signature. Wow. All of the fish was cooked perfectly.

Why don't more people know about this place! Been coming here ever since it used to be battered and fried. Super fresh lobster rolls. We got one chilled and one warmed and they were both delicious!! It wasn't too crowded so we sat on the patio and had a super friendly server.

Boston Common's fish and chips selection is unrivaled. While the service leaves much to be desired, the food is always good, the beer is always cold, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. When I find myself looking for a good meal with friends or family in town, this is always a solid choice on the East side before the night begins!

What a great spot in East Nashville. Know that they are known for Seafood, but if that's what you are up for then head on over.The Fish and Chips are the specialty. There are options: Cod, Haddock or Pollock. I went for the Haddock, British which means breaded in Guiness Beer Batter. Not a thing wrong with anything there! Fish was excellent, well cooked and loved the breading. Fries come in a little brown bag and were a good match.Husband had the Signature which is cod. Also very good. Friends split the Sampler and I must admit the Pub style (Pollock) was really good! Might need to try that next time and yes, there is a return trip soon!

I can really only give this place three stars. It's not the worst, but it's far from good. As a native New Englander, I was hoping to get a little piece of home from this aptly named establishment. I don't think the owner or chef has ever been to a Boston/New England seafood restaurant. We don't use panko on our fish. It's a beer batter. Save the panko crumbs for California. Fish is frozen and hard and service is sub-par to say the least. Probably won't return-but then again, maybe I'll give it a second shot. The clam chowder was one of the worst I've had in my life. I sent it back. It's a signature item in their menu and believe me it shouldn't be there. I've had better clam chowders at a hospital cafeteria.

Pretty good dinner here. The clam chowder was so thick you could eat it with a fork. It tasted great, so no complaints, but don't expect a "soup". The crab cake was pretty good but nothing special. Fried pick 3 plate was tasty, hot, and fresh. We especially enjoyed the clams. Coleslaw was fresh and a good palate cleanser. Cocktails left something to be desired but in all fairness this is more a beer type place that offers a few cocktails. If you're looking for a pub atmosphere with good food, go here.

I forgot to take pictures so sorry. I will first say the service was spectacular. I split the pick two with a friend. We had the clams and the Haddock, very good. Let me talk about the muscles. They were extremely good. No grit and none of the funk you can get with muscles and the sauce. OMG I could drink it right from the bowl. As for the clam chowder, best I have had in Nashville. If you go you have to get the Boston Cream Pie.As for the drinks, try the Southern Mule and the Green Monster. I had one of each.

Lobster rolls and shrimp not sure how to go wrong. We got there just after 1pm and the service could have been a touch better. We ate outside on a very hot and humid day otherwise great ambiance.
