Ok so lots of good, a little bad (but not terrible!)The Good:-Burger is absolutely delicious, do not second guess this one. It's one of the best burgers in the valley for a reason-Cocktails are super flavorful, tasty, and well mixed-Customer service is fantastic and everyone is very friendly and helpful-Shrimp cocktail was so fresh and tastyThe bad (these are all opinions based off my experience! everyone's palate is different so what may not be for me, still may be for you!):-The oysters. My wife and I are connoisseurs and try them everywhere. Oysters are generally expensive and thus it should be up the person eating the oyster to decorate it to their taste preferences. Born & bred adds their own "umami based" mignonette to the oysters before serving them. I might be wrong, but I believe it is liquid aminos, or something along those lines. I know what they are trying to do by complimenting the saltiness and meatiness of the oyster with some additional umami, but this is not it. It is too strongly flavored of soy sauce/aminos and completely distracts from the taste of the oyster itself. Additionally, and this is weird to complain about i know, but the oysters are huge. To have huge oysters that require multiple bites, along with a strongly added soy sauce flavor is truly off putting. It was the only time in the last at least 4 years that we weren't able to finish a plate of oysters.-The arugula pizza: arugula has it's own inherent bitterness, which is just a part of the flavor palate and mixes very well with meats and pizzas. But there was wayyyy too much arugula on the pizza and the bitterness was overpowering and masked all other flavors in the pizza. The only reason to even bring up the bad is because pricing is in line with a scottsdale restaurant i.e. not cheap. For the price (and my wife and I totaled $160 for the two of us) I think it is fair to bring up a few misses. This won't stop us from coming back, we did truly enjoy the experience, ambiance, and service

Arrived around 11:45am to meet someone for lunch on Saturday and it was pretty empty. People started coming in here and there after that. They also have a location in Downtown Chandler but haven't been to that location yet. It was my first time at this Scottsdale location. The place isn't too big but it's decent. We sat at the bar. Ordered a round of drinks, chatted for a bit then ordered food and more drinks. Our order: Bloody MaryVodka soda lime x2Permanent Vacation cocktail x21/2 dozen oystersMargherita PizzaOysters were a bit small and the sauce was more on the salty side. Not bad but just okay for me. The pizza was delicious!! Saucy and cheesy. I really liked my Permanent Vacation cocktail. That was pretty good and I would order that again. I decided to stick with the same drink the second time instead of mixing. He started with a bloody mary, which was good, then switched to vodka sodas afterwards. We were here for about two hours before hopping over to the pool bar at Andaz across the street. Definitely want to try some foods from their dinner menu next time.

I wouldn't waste money on food here. We didn't get any drinks. Service was very slow yet the restaurant was almost empty. There was one server for the whole restaurant. One host who was pouring a girl in PJs wine instead of doing anything else. One bartender and 3-4 chefs. Worst food I've had at a restaurant in years. Specifically the brussel sprouts and brown butter scallop crudo. Caesar was okay. Food wasn't hot or cold as you'd expect, all the same temp as though it's been sitting.

We had an amazing time here. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. The food was fresh, you can tell their executive chef cares about the food he is preparing. Happy hour is amazing 9$ cocktails and cheap small bites for Scottsdale is insane . Our server Jenny was amazing we felt like regulars even though it was our first time in. This type of restaurant is one of those hidden gems you find before they have 2+ hour wait time!

Shockingly horrible, I was expecting better from this brand. Ordered the recommended brunch burger with the egg on the side and a salad with chicken. The chicken was way overcooked, dry and tasted like salmon. For all the hype the burger was completely forgettable. The kicker was the pricing, the menu states 13$ including the egg. I was charged 18$ for the burger and 1$ for the egg. We didn't realize until signing the bill and would have said something but all the staff were on their phones, at that point we just wanted to leave.

The food was ok. We got burgers & sandwiches. I'm not sure what the hype is about on the burgers. They were ok -American Cheese. We had a caesar at the rec of our server. It was a good caesar. I got the braised short rib sandwich and just had so little meat to bread. This is probably 5 min from our house but don't think we'll go back. Too many nearby options. Service was good.

Food and staff are fantastic! The broccolini is divine! Thor was an impeccable server, and it was nice to meet the executive chef as well. Can't wait to come back!

We had a very pleasant experience at Born + Bred. We ordered bread service to start. Toasted Noble bread with a butter spread. Very satisfying. You can't beat the happy hour burger both for price and taste. Fries were served with 3 dipping sauces and the ceaser salad was delicious. Our server was friendly and knowledge. Dessert - chocolate cake with gelato beat our expectations. My only criticism would be the accoustics. The busier it got the harder it was to hear your dinner companions.

I really appreciate the fact that everything is made from scratch & they use local ingredients! The place was very clean & I love the open kitchen! We started off with two apps, the hummus & French fries & it was very good! Our server recommended a pasta dish that wasn't on the menu & it ended up being so delicious! The grassfed burger was great!

My new favorite place!!They have a great happy hour. We got Mac and cheese,fries, and a burger all for under $25!!! Such a steal considering the high quality of food. Burger is a smashed burger. It is super flavorful and has a nice grill to it. Mac and cheese is addicting! It is also flavorful and tastes homemade. Order the fries well done if you like crunchy fries. Love the Texas ketchup that comes with it. Service has always been good. Jennifer is the nicest and most attentive server.
