Took my girlfriend out for her birthday. She is a big fan of seafood. Not too busy, we were seated with our reservation immediately. Super disappointed in our first time and ordered The Bootleg Special which was around $150. We waited quite a while for our waters, as the table next to us had already gotten theirs who had a different waitress. That put aside, food came out fairly quick and we started digging in. Unfamiliar territory to me but my girlfriend is familiar with seafood boils (just more casually. This was on the "higher" scale per se but we started digging in. We thought soon after maybe a throw away bucket for our shells, gloves, wet wipes etc would come out. It didn't so we initially asked for napkins and the waiter saw everything piled up but still did not comes with gloves, bucket, wet wipes etc. It was our first time so we didn't know if it had to be asked etc but taking that seafood boil is what they are known for, they'd know. What was shocking was, we thought ok maybe this is normal but it feels weird being this messy in this upscale environment but the 2 other tables our waiter was responsible for were taken care of. They got their bucket, napkins, wet wipes, etc so it ended us very singled out and my girlfriend definitely didn't appreciate it I rarely complain about service, very lenient and generous even at high end but when you are spending $200, you expect service that is proper. For this one, we really had to speak to the manager as we had to fend for ourselves for necessary utensils and had to make do with the app plates that was leftover to be utilized from our appetizer. Our table looked absolutely busted. Thankfully the manager was very understanding and comped us but we definitely left, not wanting to ever come back from the experience which was supposed to be good for the celebratory event
