Best bar in town :) great food and drinks!

I've been there a few times now and it's...fine? I guess? First, I'm not sure what's going on with the ambiance. I have an aversion to faux brick walls. I'm also not sure about what seems like palm trees and faux brick, but I'll admit, there are many things in this world that I don't understand. There's always something that just strikes me wrong when I go. Last week (which was probably my last visit) the bartender took our order for two manhattans. We watched him walk around, stirring something in the shaker, looking around, talking to someone before bringing two drinks to the table. He sat them down and shared that they were out of vermouth, so the drinks were basically whiskey that was watered down from a lot of stirring and bitters. He didn't really ask if we still wanted them, he sat them down with the news and a caveat that he was only charging us for one and went back to the bar. Okay. Our grilled cheese was delivered by someone who seemed really nice and it looked great, but the cheese was far from melted (I could peel away the slices with my fingers) and the bread was so buttery that my whole face felt greasy after eating it. After deciding to move along with our lives, there was a different bartender (blonde woman) who seemed irritated that she couldn't hear my request for the tab. When I practically shouted to be heard over the music and through the mask, she rolled her eyes at me and plopped down a slip showing a total of $31. I always want an itemized bill - every time. So I asked. And yes, it was $31 for one sad beverage and a grilled cheese sandwich. I think that while half the block is still burnt down and choices are limited, they might do okay.

Great sandwiches and reasonable prices. Online ordering is smooth and order was ready *exactly* when I set it for pick up.We had the reuben and the turkey avocado - both very good but the reuben was our favorite. The mac & cheese was perfect, creamy and delicious but not over the top heavy (portion size was also good for something this filling/rich).I am jazzed to see something new open in this location and I cannot wait for the opportunity to sit at the bar and enjoy a drink..or 5. Looks super cool inside.

The drinks were tasty. I liked the ambiance. We ordered food and my sandwich was alright. I wouldn't mind coming back here since it's got chill vibes.

A fun place period. Or wait, do I just add the period and not actually say "period"? Anyway, if you're looking for a fun time, at a dive-ish bar with great food and drinks, and more importantly, a feeling of community, then come here, and come here often! They have karaoke Sun-Fri. The KJ's are great and the people are so supportive of every singer! People also like to stand up near the stage to dance and sing along. They have music bingo on Mondays, which is such a laid back and fun way to spend an evening, along with some drinks and food.I would not have guessed how delicious the burgers and chicken sandwich here are! I would come here for the food alone and the fries do not disappoint. The atmosphere is nice. It is a bit dark and neon, a little divey but also a bit nice, bathrooms are clean, and there is ample seating for being a smallish to midsize space. While I've only been here a couple times, the community vibes here have me excited to regularly come back for food, music and connections!

Great food, great service and great drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed the vibes also. My gf and I were there a little before things got really cracking but you could feel it was going to be a fun night in there.

I love going to boombox for karaoke and they always have the best vibes and great service. Their wings are delicious and everything is reasonably priced ! Between the staff, food, drinks and ambiance, Boombox is a home run. Best bar in white center/ west seattle!

Boombox is the perfect neighborhood bar, you can go chill over a bevy or go to one of their Friday night events annnnd they added brunch. All that to say, I'm sad to be leaving the neighborhood after all the changes at Boombox. Love their bartenders, especially Jamie

I love this place, but Saturday nights can be frustrating. There is one bartender and he is not the fastest. Took me 20 minutes to get a drink. Other times are so fun.

Rude service. Came in with a group of people to celebrate a friend's promotion and the bartender was such a jerk. Ruined the night
