We came here on a food tour, so everyone had Italian Beef subs. They were pretty good, but I think I would have liked other things more. I don't blame the restaurant- I blame the type of sandwich. Everything was fresh and well cooked, but I wanted something more- cheese or different peppers or maybe some onions (but then it would be a different sandwich). The bread was perfect crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The rest of the food looked amazing so we will probably be back. It's a little hole in the wall, but was packed when we were there. Obviously a well liked place. The service was good and everyone was friendly.

This is for a delivery order. I ordered this via doordash on my last night in the city. It was good. Not the best I've had but good. Thin crust pepperoni. I'd definitely visit again and this time go to the actual restaurant.

Hidden gem in a great location that is steps away from the Riverwalk. Hidden but, easy to find! Just head towards the Trump Tower'. Located next to the tower's courtyard. Reasonable valet parking at the entrance for $18.00. Try the Ichnusa beer! Very reasonable prices for dining in the downtown/Riverwalk area. Dog friendly patio!

Hidden gem, like almost literally hidden because we had a hard time finding this spot for lunch. Casual table side service that has an outdoor spot along the river that I am very excited to come back and check out once it opens for the season. We had the Cesar salad which was just a regular Cesar salad and their prosciutto and mushroom pizza. We realllly enjoyed the pizza , it's gotta be up there for me. It was something between a Neapolitan and NYC style but had awesome flavor.

There is something about being in a hotel all day during a conference. It can be exhausting in its own way. So on the day that we didn't have a scheduled lunch during our conference, I tried to find something local and outside for lunch. Thanks to a quick google search, I spotted an Italian restaurant in proximity of the conference. It was perfect, it had outdoor seating and was within walking distance of my conference. I beat the lunch rush by arriving at 11:50. I was seated quickly at a table outside and was left a menu to order. The staff were busy but kind to make sure that the customers were cared for. The menu was extensive with salads, sandwiches, pastas and pizzas. I ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli with vodka sauce. It was wonderful to sit outside and wait for the meal. After being in a conference room the warmth of the sun was so needed. When my meal came out, it was pillowy cushions of pasta in the richness of sauce. I added some crushed red pepper for a bit of spice. This is the pasta of my dreams. It was such a good meal. This was the best Italian food I've had in downtown Chicago. I'll be dreaming of my next trip.

Bongiorno's was welcoming and so cozy inside- it definitely feels like a local pizza joint. My friend and I came by on a Sunday evening and got seated immediately. The place is small inside so it fills up quick. Service was genuine and attentive and everything we ordered was great. The margherita pizza had a fantastic crust and I loved that you could order a personal size pizza. The spaghetti was tasty, but I've had better elsewhere. The service and beyond reasonable prices will keep me coming back when I'm in town.
