LITERALLY two of my favorite things in ONE place: BOOKS and craft BEER!!!!! Pinch me!!!! To borrow two 'verses' using their own words: "To the mindful, to the curious to the brilliantly flawed. To those seeking comfort, respite, splendor, and sustenance... The Bold Monk welcomes you.""FOOD AND BEVERAGEPurposely designed to promote harmony and a shared spirit of joy. "The bookstore upstairs is Ahmazing!! The ambiance & spaces are artful, moody (think: an elegantly old Victorian bookstore!), beautiful and conducive to the best WFH/remote work status. The food is delicious: I ordered a delicious yellowfin tuna salad (Bibb Lettuce, Seared Ahi Tuna, Charred Corn, Mango, Avocado, Spicy Peanut, Chile-Orange Vinaigrette). Along with a deep, dark, rich, malty, caramel-y brew. Heaven. If you're into good food, love craft beer and LOVE books: you've found your next spot!!!!

The 1862 pizza was the best pizza I've ever had, spicy and sweet! My ham and cheese combo was disappointing though, it was just way too soft. The flavors were ok, though on the bland side especially the salad dressing. Honestly, It was probably put on the menu for picky eaters lol. The drinks were also strong and well made. My Japanese inspired lager and blue winged angel were balanced with great flavor, not too sweet. We didn't get refills when we needed them according to my party though. It was a slow night, so I guess the servers were a little too chill about service tonight. I used to be a server, so I get it.. but I feel bad for the people I was with.

i can't even count how many times i've been here, it's such a reliable spot for dinner, a first date, and i even just had my birthday lunch here. fav things to order are the brussels and the lamb burger (a steal at $17)!! i love that they have beer as well as cocktails and wine plus an expansive food menu! for groups it's nice because no one can complain, LOL. we had a group of about 12 (plus one pup!) on memorial day to celebrate my birthday. i love their covered patio in front of the entrance, it was perfect for what i wanted. our server was so kind and helpful with the big group. if anything I wish their beer selection was more in line with my taste, but their belgians are their speciality. just not my favorite!

So I ended up at Bold Monk after a nearby brewery was closed for a private event. It worked out in my favor as this was brewery visit #293 and I do love Belgian beers.Nice big place in a converted warehouse or something, which wasn't very busy at 5:30 on Friday evening but started to pick up. Greg at the bar was very helpful and got the conversation started commenting on my BJJ shirt. So of course we talked BJJ for a few minutes before moving on to beer. He and everyone I interacted with was very friendly.Walk on Water witbierDiscipline Dubbel had a great flavor, and even though SWPFTD generally is not a fan of Belgians (Good thing I'm a Polak!) I think she would have liked this one.The Way Tripel was really good. Indominus Quad was probably my favorite. A great example of a quad with nothing out of line.I was a little hungry so I got an order of four bitterballen. These were great. The beet sabayon really set off the brisket. BMB is cool. The beers were really good, and the food was as well. I picked up a shirt and will stop back in when I make it back to town. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

I've been wanting to price this place for a while since I heard great things about it. I was surprised how big it is and it looks very nice on the inside. Other than the service was slow, everything else was good. After receiving our food we asked for condiments two different services and I had to finally go get it myself.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks at Bold Monk! We had been here a few times to grab drinks at the bar for happy hour with colleagues. But we ended up getting a double date night here and had a great time. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting just drinks or even a heartier meal!

Probably my favorite brewery in Atl-but take that with a grain of salt as I'm not a beer girl. I like it because it feels less like a brewery and more like a restaurant. Full bar (not just beer) the cocktail are always delicious and cute (albeit a bit small normally fair warning)Food has always been good and constant for us. I like the chicken sandwich. Lots of spaces for setting. Bit the beer garden is a warm weather favorite. We had my husbands birthday party there a few years ago and it was a great space for that. We've also been guests at a wedding held here.

Found this gem while visiting Atlanta! Great theming makes this space unique with antique church/castle decor and mini bookstore upstairs! The focus is obvious beer but I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the cocktail menu and loved the Ashes to Ashes, served smoking. Our table enjoyed tasting the various sauces with frites and the pizza was also great! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive.
