Let me preface this review by saying that I pick my battles when it comes to lousy service. Sometimes I go into fight mode. Other times, I'll allow myself to be robbed of my hard earned money for the preservation of an otherwise enjoyable experience with family and friends. The latter is true of my time at BOHO115 last night. To start, the restaurant is super cute. The hostess was friendly, and seated us upstairs near the window. This made for what felt like an indoor/outdoor experience on an evening when the weather was perfect. My girlfriend and I were super excited about that - really enjoyed the atmosphere. As we struggled to decide on what we wanted to order, she figured she'd put in for their smoked passionfruit old fashioned in the meantime. Our friendly server brought it out immediately, and we were both impressed by how delicious it was. That passionfruit was beautiful! She asked him to bring out another for me.Mine came in a larger glass than hers, but after a couple of small sips, I could taste that it was much heavier on the whiskey. I would've appreciated more of the passionfruit that I had experienced in her glass, and that's what inspired our request for another. After asking our server if I could trade it out for something else, he came back and told me that management said I could not. I would still be charged the $20 for the drink, in addition to whatever else I would've wanted to order instead.Never in my life have I been to a restaurant where they refused to trade out a drink that I was dissatisfied with. I could totally understand if I were trying to return an empty glass; to me that's rude. But if after a sip or two I realize that it doesn't suit my palate, find out what does! And even if you want me to work with the same drink, put forth the effort to discover what I don't like about it, make those adjustments as best as possible, and once they're made, see if it's more to my liking. That was the first strike, and at that point, we should've taken our leave. It really speaks to how management feels about the satisfaction of their patrons. The second strike was in the food. It left MUCH to be desired. My girlfriend did their calamari and crab chowder, and I went with our server's recommendation; the shrimp and crab fritters. I also decided on a side order of creamed corn. Overall, everything was flavorless and lukewarm.....I didn't bother to send anything back because the issue with my drink informed me that those in charge cared more about money, and less about customer satisfaction. I tried to consume as much as I could so as not to be wasteful, but I couldn't make it. I thought about taking the rest home in order to doctor it up myself, but I was so turned off by everything, I just needed out of there.Needless to say, I will never be back, and I hate that because I really wanted to like it. But I encourage anyone whose in the area to stick to the Iberian Pig next door, or Leon's Full Service around the corner. From my experience, these veterans care to get it right. I don't want anyone else getting cheated out of their money. Has anyone been to White Bull? Thinking to try them next.**Reply to Owner**(Wish Yelp would allow us to reply to responses directly.)She took the drink from me because you all wouldn't! After I was told that the drink couldn't be replaced for anything else, she just went ahead and took it - not because she wanted mine, but because she was trying to keep money from going down the drain, lol!!Why would I want to give additional patronage to a place that does business like that???But thank you for the prompt response, and the recommendation.
