My second time coming here and im telling you... you gotta check out BoBaPop now !!I tried Tornado Coffee - If you're a coffee lover looking for a sweet twist, you've got to try the cream brulee coffee here And my friend tried a new drink : Lavender Haze - lite coffee with creamy ube foam . I highly recommended this two drink for who loves coffee.I tried Flower Green milk tea with cream brulee in my first time came . Super delicious !! Must try !!The store is clean, bright, and modern. They have a few tables, but it's more of a place to have a quick drink and chat with friends rather than study all day.The staff is super friendly and nice if you are have any question about the menu or drink . If you order the milk tea or fresh tea , you will wait a bit because they do brew the tea fresh. Personally, I will be coming back to try another drink because they have a lot of tea options.

We came on a Friday night about 45 min before closing because of a friend recommendation. The service was excellent and the owner was very kind to answer our questions and helped us customize a drink with fresh milk per our preference. Interior was also modern and clean with self ordering kiosks. Unfortunately they were out of boba for the day so that was a bit disappointing. My drink itself didn't quite meet the mark, I'm not sure if there was a mistake or something strange added but our 30% sweet was VERY VERY sweet and the jasmine tea flavor felt overly artificial - almost like a distilled syrup or an over steeped tea so it left a bitter/weird aftertaste after a lot of sugar. Maybe it was an off day for them given the other positive reviews and the exceptional service.

The shop is cute with its own specialities. The service was good but the wait time was slightly long. The tea itself was bland due to the type of milk they used. While it wasn't bad, but it didn't impress me much on the taste. The bobas were thoroughly cooked and no issue with that. The price is slightly higher than some other places. Overall it's a 4.1 out of 5. It was aok.

Busy little boba shop. I think a lot of people were smarter than me and ordered online ahead of time. I walked in to order a wintermelon tea with foam topping and it took awhile before my order was made. It was good and the staff was pretty friendly.

Very cute and small space. Parking is relatively easy since they share a parking lot with other businesses! When I arrived the ordering tablet informed me that they were sold out of boba as well as some other drinks/ paw cookies. Turns out they only start selling paw cookies after 3pm (as of May 2024). After I ordered, the boba was ready so I asked them to add the boba into my order. Not sure if it's always so busy or if a nearby high school got off early but there were multiple groups of teenagers in the area and the boba shop was quite busy! As for drinks - it may be because they were busy and didn't pay too much attention to sweetness adjustments but they were definitely on the sweeter side even at 50% sweetness. The drinks are also on the creamier side and I didn't taste too much of the tea. Between the Jasmine Green, Japanese Brown Rice and Tie Guan Yin milk teas, the Jasmine had the strongest tea flavor. I am a tea lover so I will be coming back to try again because they have a lot of tea/menu options!

First time here. Cute boba spot. The service was great, the lady was very attentive and took my order and made my order very quickly. The inside was super clean and very simple. I got the strawberry with lychee jelly and wow did it tasted delicious. It had the right amount of strawberries and sweetness to it. Berry refreshing. Thank you BoBaPoP for a great first time experience. I can't wait to come back and the next time I'm definitely getting the Large instead of the medium.

I have been to a few locations back in LA and I think this is what San Diego needs. BoBaPoP Tea Bar has truly what I consider a milk tea place. I feel like the usual milk tea spots in San Diego is just creamer and a hint of tea. The tea here is super strong, and the decrease in sugar level means stronger tea flavors and not a drink diluted with creamer. Just how it should be. As you can tell, I have a problem with creamer HAHAThe paw snacks are super good and I like the consistency of the bread. It's more like those green pastries you get at a Vietnamese to-go place than it is to taiyaki. We got both the Nutella and cheese flavor! There are plenty of menu options, and I can't wait to go back to try more. Inside, it seems to be super minimal, and when I was there it seemed like a great place for a quick stop or for a gathering. Do keep in mind that there is only one area to sit, however there is plenty of parking as it's nestled in a plaza.

I've been to BoBaPoP before in the SGV area. It honestly wasn't too memorable for me that time I went but I was still willing to try it again. Because of this, I was still excited they were opening up in San Diego so I had to try! I ordered the strawberry milk with grass jelly. It was delicious! My only complaint is that the grass jelly floats to the top so it was hard to get any pieces. But otherwise, definitely a drink I would get again! They don't really have seating. I think one table inside that is more of a lounge table so you can't really study. They do have 2 tables outside though and wifi but I definitely would not study here. While I was waiting for my drink, I was able to witness really amazing customer service from the owner to another customer. She really tried to explain the menu and drinks to the customer and was super informative and sweet. I'm glad this place opened! RP was definitely lacking a boba shop this good!!

I have been here about three or four times since they have opened which is a numerous amount as I don't consider myself a frequent drink purchaser (like going to Starbucks everyday for instance). The previous establishment in this location was also a boba place, and I was initially disappointed when I found they were closing since it was the only boba milk tea in the area. When I found out it was going to be a new tea place, I was absolutely delighted and had to go the first weekend they opened.I was immediately intrigued by their menu and their quality teas. I had intended on only purchasing one drink, but ended up with two once I took a look at the menu. They do not have a web site so I took pictures of their full menu (only on the digital monitor and not on the paper one) that will hopefully help people out.Drinks I have tried out -- all terrific, delicious:Matcha LatteTie Guan YinAlishan Milk Tea (HOT)Taro Milk Tea with Boba (HOT)Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea (HOT)Darling Milk Tea (HOT)Options:Sugar - you can specify the level of sugar you would like, also dependent on which drink you orderToppings - a good variety just as most boba places these days - honey boba, popping boba, pudding, jelly bits, brulee, foam, red bean, crystal boba - note that depending on the tea, not all the toppings are optionsTemperature - many of the regular menu comes in HOT, which I have been opting for lately because it's been cold. This is one of those things most milk tea places don't have and as a result, never have my business in the winter since I never am craving cold drinks and drink a lot of hot tea at home instead.*Edited to Add: Non-Dairy Substitute - For some/most(?) of the dairy items, you can request oat milk as the dairy substitute. And of course they have fresh fruit teas that do not contain dairy.Service:The workers are super helpful if you have any questions and they are always looking for input when they deliver your drink to you. You will have to wait a bit because they do brew the tea fresh, so it's not as fast as some other drink places but it is well worth it!The Wait:If you make the order through the monitor and give your phone number, they send you a link to tell you how many people are ahead of you in line which gives you an approximate estimate how long it will take before you receive your drink. Super helpful for people who want to know where they are in line and how long it will take.Interior:As many people mentioned, there isn't a place really to hang out here - there is a wood bench to the left side of the place, and two chairs inside for people to wait for their drinks. I did however, see a bunch of girls just hanging out with their hot drinks on the bench and stools last time I came here which was cool to see. The interior has a welcoming and modern vibe and their logo is cute. I like the plant/wood/white decor they have.In Summary:What stood out to me is their high quality imported teas and is the main reason I keep on returning. I love tea, and most people know me know this (as evidenced by the cabinet full of gifted teas I have at home...) I have had Alishan and Tie Guan Yin regular tea outside of the shop and they are two of my favorite teas. They are both fairly mild so I prefer to have them without any other toppings to make them shine on its own. I have been intrigued by the other teas that I have not had the opportunity to try and am planning on coming here consistently when I've worked through all of them! Jin Xuan was sold out when I came here last and I am hoping to try it the next time I come here. This place is great for boba milk tea lovers (as they have all the great basics) but truly great for tea connoisseurs, specifically Asian teas. I wouldn't mind if they offered an Early Grey though ;)Survival:This location seems to have gone through several food, mostly dessert service shops, and I worry about the survival of this location. If you go here and really like the drinks here, please think about going here again the next time you are craving a drink!
