I walked in for the first time during the day around 3pm about 2 weeks ago to check out the concept & get some info regarding a potential reservation for later that evening. Hannah the General Manager along with the hostess (name unknown) both gave me such a unique energetic positive greeting! Their standard of hospitality & guest service was sooo impressive, genuine & special I decided later that evening I emailed Hannah to see if she can save me a couple of spots at the bar or a cocktail table. She got back to me thru email within 15 minutes to reserve a bar cocktail high top table. My buddy & I had a nice welcome greeting by the hostesses when we came in at 7pm. We had an amazing server named Camila who also bartends at Blue Sushi. Her intro to the menu and suggestions were very helpful to figure out cocktails, appetizer & dinner. We got a pitcher of cold amazing Sake & also shared Mango Crab Rangoon that was sooo good! For sure a top 3 unique crab rangoon. My friend got a beer after our Sake & I got the Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita it was FIRE!!! My friend got sushi & loved it, sorry I forget which one he got. I got the Beef Hot Rock OMG!!!! A MUST TRY. We didn't have time for dessert, but I knew I be back! Our experience with our server Camila was perfect! It was a unique server experience & you can tell how much she loves her job. Hannah stopper by to visit during our dinner & I was really impressed by that. She made me feel like VIP, not forgetting about me after sitting down. I was so impressed with this restaurants hospitality, guest service, the drinks & food... I went back the next day saturday night by myself to have dinner and some drinks before meeting friends out & Camila was my bartender. It was awesome to have her take care of me 2 nights in a row! The staff impress so much I brought my 2 best friends on Wednesday night to sit a table in the dining room & the server Stephanie SUPERB SERVICE!!! I felt like it was Camila taking care of me, just a different woman with another amazing personality & hospitality! Hannah greeted my two friends & I at the table which I greatly appreciated. The Blue Sushi Lincoln Park team 100% is ready every single day & night to impact guests! I am now planning for Blue Sushi to be a starting pre-game spot for my friends & I, as well as having dinner at times. I haven't written a review in a HOT minute, so for me to take the time to write this, if you are reading this... make sure you experience Blue Sushi in Lincoln Park ASAP!! If not you are just missing out, lol! I highly suggest to make a reservation online or call in because the 3 times I was there on a Friday, Saturday & Wednesday all around 7pm was VERY busy! i came here on a lunch break as i work in the area and ill definitely be back!! as an avid sushi lover & a former vegan - wow!!! there are so many options here for anyone regardless of any dietary restrictions. although i typically love raw fish, i got a vegan roll today just to pay homage to my past and i didn't feel like i missed out on anything. not only was the presentation of the Eden roll really cute (it looks like a caterpillar), but the flavors are all there. i love sweet potatoes in sushi rolls and i really liked the brown vs white rice in this as well! the edamame hummus added a smooth and creamy texture that juxtaposed perfectly with the sweet potato tempura. they have a TON of vegan options and i'll be back to try both those and the regular sushi!our server was rlly nice and attentive, explaining the lunch special and menu in depth to us. for the lunch special you can take 2 maki and a soup/salad for $21. since its sushi it will take a minute. there weren't many people in today for lunch but i believe it took 20-30 minutes for 4 orders to arrive at our table (2 lunch specials and 2 rolls), so maybe not the best place for a quick work lunch, but definitely stop by for a meal that you'd like to sit & take time to enjoy. it's worth it!

I should have seen previous reviews, but sushi was in fact expensive for the quality and amount of fish each roll had. I was also hoping for a more authentic vibe but I had overestimated what I was expecting. These rolls are a spin off of your usual rolls, with non-raw, raw, and vegan options. Nigiri (2 for $10) and sashimi options (5 thin pieces for $17) were also very expensive. The waitress was slow to fill our waters and our food took longer than expected to come out despite the place being empty. It was definitely an experience trying out their rolls and sashimi on the menu, the Hawaiian roll and Hotel Cali (both warm and fried in tempura batter) were not great, one had mango in the center that gave the roll a tart taste, the second had a sweet thai dressing, not a fan unfortunately 2/5. The Lion King and Cabo rolls lacked flavor and the filling overwhelmed the small amounts of raw salmon/tuna filling that went with it 3/5. The Tuna Tatake was refreshing but very thin, it was almost translucent. I think this establishment is suitable for those who are new to or trying creative sushi rolls. However, I wouldn't recommend it for people who crave the natural and fresh taste of seafood/fish.

If you're vegan, Blue Sushi has got you covered! They have a large vegan selection that is absolutely incredible. The lettuce wraps and vegan sushi rolls are my go to. They have multiple locations and I've been to both this one and the one in Naperville and they're both delicious.

Blue Sushi Sake is an amazing sushi spot in Lincoln Park! The ambiance is so nice and they have an outdoor patio for the summer. On Sundays, the happy hour is unbeatable because it includes so many of their rolls and drinks. They have a ton of vegetarian sushi rolls which I love, and their Shishito Peppers are some of the best ones I've tried with an incredible sauce/marinade. Service was great - Will definitely be coming here on more Sundays!

The food, service, and ambience were exactly what they should be and excellent. The sever and host offered suggestions and were friendly. This is one of our favorite date night spots in Chicago. The ambiance is amazing and lively....always packed for dinner. We went on a weeknight around 7:30pm and were lucky to find street parking across the street. The service is great and the wait time for food usually isn't that long. We love the vegan sushi options so that is always our go-to order. Cowgirl South Pacific Vegan Hot Night Unami ExpressSide of spicy mayonnaise is a MUST!!This place never disappoints and the sushi is just amazing!!
