Stay Tuned played the Blue Moon back in 2004. This fellow might have been dancing like that before we started playing...

I've been driving by the Blue Moon Tavern for years now on 45th and never gave it much thought. Then while grabbing a few beers with some co-workers I finally got the chance to go. From the outside it looks much smaller than it was from the inside. The service was great, didn't have to wait at all to receive my tasty ale. There was also live music while we were there which really enhanced my experience. Next time you're looking for a nice dive bar with some live music come check this place out. you won't be disappointed.

If you're into local dive bars this is the place! A true piece of Seattle history as it began in the 1930s...it's dingy and a bit worn, so what's not to love? Random art and books adorn the walls. Live Music on the weekends is always a good time. I think the cover charge is around $10? But not bad. This place could use some business to keep a true gem alive. All local beer on tap which is great. Staff are friendly. All in all a nice neighborhood watering hole.

This is a dive with a LONG history in Seattle. I want to say, it's a century long (if not close). The fodder that adorns the walls is evidence in itself, of the history that DRIPS from this little watering hole.I could spend HOURS just roaming the nick-nacks with my eyes.Definitely worth a visit, even if for some daytime liquid refreshment.

A Seattle icon! The 1934 Blue Moon Tavern is one of the oldest bars in the city, and anybody visiting should really hit it up. If you really want a taste of Seattle's rock history, this is the place to go! Nirvana played here in '91 and it's still rocking today. So glad to see some of my friends return here after almost 20 years! For a live venue, the lights and sound is really good and they live stream their shows online. But you can't beat actually walking in the same steps as Seattle rock idols and smelling that old beer and admiring the graffiti plastered walls. Plus the prices for alcohol are really reasonable ($4 Rainier, anybody?) and the bartenders are always friendly.

An incredible piece of Seattle history that lives on today - and has excellent, reasonably-priced drinks to boot. I love hanging out and absorbing the many, many decades of music, art, and politics covering the walls, pillars, and ceilings. Expect a wonderfully eclectic mix of blues, rock, and who knows what else during the day, and some great local live bands at night. Plus, pinball! Grab some food from a nearby food truck and head inside to see what a dive bar can truly be.

My experience with the bartender RACHEL was beyond disappointing. Not only was the service horrible but the bartender was very rude and dismissive, making me feel unwelcome at the establishment. RACHEL even threatened to kick me out of the bar for calling her out on her horrible customer service skills. She stated that she was unhappy with my 5 dollar tip and expected way more for a 40 dollar tab. I apologized but she continued her negative customer service skill. Despite multiple attempts to get her attention, she continued to ignore me, prioritizing other customers who arrived after me. It's a shame when a bartender fails to understand the importance of providing attentive and courteous service, ultimately driving patrons away. I certainly won't be returning to this establishment anytime soon.

Great place to grab a drink and listen to live music. The only downside is there are only snacks and no real food options. The bartender Rachel is always great and provides excellent service.

For a dive bar, this was incredibly clean. Friendly bartender who managed any shenanigans. Great music. A very cool local Seattle vibe.
