Blue Bottle Coffee - Tribune Tower

I had a disappointing experience with the service here. I ordered three drinks: the NOLA with vanilla foam, NOLA Float, and a matcha latte. The NOLA with vanilla foam came out first, followed by the matcha latte a few minutes later. However, the NOLA Float never arrived. After seeing people who ordered after me receive their drinks, I followed up with the barista, who claimed she had already served it to me. I explained that I only received the NOLA with vanilla foam and the matcha latte, but not the Float. The barista brought someone else over, but neither seemed to believe me. Whether my order was missed or someone else took it, I didn't receive my drink. They could have went back to check my order to see if they missed charging me for it and I would have been happy to pay for the missing drink, but they didn't. Instead, they reluctantly made the NOLA Float and handed it to me with a visible attitude. I didn't appreciate being treated like I was trying to scam them for a coffee.Despite the service issues, I enjoyed the NOLA Float, though it is pricey at $9. The NOLA with vanilla foam was good and not too sweet. However, the matcha latte was very disappointing--it was too milky and lacked enough matcha flavor.Ambiance is okay, wish they had more seating.

I've been hearing rave reviews about Blue Bottle, so I finally decided to check out the Tribune Tower location. Arriving early to secure a spot for some work, I was pleased to find a few tables available - a handy tip for future visitors.Service was prompt and friendly, with the staff assisting me in selecting some delectable items from the menu. Opting for the Saffron Vanilla Iced Latte paired with a ginger molasses cookie was a delightful treat!Though the interior space is modest, its chic ambiance adds to the overall charm. Situated on Michigan Avenue, it's conveniently located for a quick stop before indulging in some retail therapy at nearby stores.Without a doubt, I'll be returning for more of Blue Bottle's offerings. It's definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite coffee spots in the city!

This is a great location to get a cup of coffee. The inside space is tight with only one large table, but the tables outside are good for catching a light breeze or people watching. The menu is pretty simple. They are known for their coffees, so stick with that -- don't need to order teas, juices, or hot chocolate.

Discovered the new coffee spot at Tribune Tower; almost overlooked it. Tried the mocha and decaf with friends--impressive flavors. Service was a bit slow. Additional seats would enhance the experience.Ambience was decent.

Blue Bottle Coffee is the perfect spot to stop at while shopping along Michigan Avenue! The environment is very nice, clean & a good spot to relax with cool AC. Sit at the window seats for some good people watching since it's right in the middle of all the wonderful Chicago sights! I got the New Orleans Style Iced Shaken Coffee. It was very delicious! Very creamy & refreshing. It was so creamy that it was bubbling on the top! The staff here really wants you to enjoy your experience & drinks. Definitely stop by because Blue Bottle could be your new place!

Exceptional coffee! While vacationing in Chicago we have visited twice now we have five days left and will probably be stopping by five more times! The flavor of the espresso is superior!

I had seen Blue Bottle Coffee online and was so excited to stumble upon this brand-new location!We almost overlooked it because the outside of the building still said "coming soon" -- but it was in fact open!I ordered a iced caffe latte with vanilla and it was truly so tasty. I'm not sure I would become a regular with their sky-high prices... but totally worth stopping in for the ultra-cute aesthetic and tasty coffee.

I've been waiting so long for this location to open and actually stumbled upon Blue Bottle on their grand opening day as we happened to be in the area. The interior is gorgeous! Love the usage of sage in here and the soft calmer tones on the walls and the curves introduced in the designs at this location.We asked for a sample of the seasonal Nola which has orange blossom and the staff were able to make us some to try, and we ended up ordering a large iced seasonal Nola - orange blossom gave it a very subtle hint of spring/summer in each sip. Given that this store proactively shared that oat milk is the default, it made the Nola cold brew taste way better and the flavors came through more, versus when we order at other locations including Wolf Point, we were always asked "is whole milk okay?" So tip is to get it with the default oat milk (no surcharge)!The staff were super kind and the energy was great. There is also outdoor seating for nicer days. Will def be back!

Morning caffeine jolt: single origin pour over and iced NolaThis busy location is bustling with activity. Pour overs take about five minutes--no dripped coffee--but it's worth the wait. Nola is New Orleans-style coffee with chicory syrup.

I ordered the cappuccino with oat milk which was delicious! Blue Bottle never disappoints. Service was speedy and the cafe itself was bright and clean. Will definitely be stopping by again next time I'm in the area!
