Saturday Brunch.Popped into this restaurant because it was in the hotel we stayed at. The ambiance was first class, the table setting's elegant and the staff was happy.the seating was perfect for our family that had a baby car seat. The menu options were all delicious and the cocktails too. The food came out in a timely manner and the food was as good as it sounded, even including the coffee and I'm coffee boogie! The service was as expected. I didn't the the fruit flies and the attendants attempted to assist me.

I cannot give this place enough stars!!! The brunch here was AMAZING. We stayed in the Conrad over a weekend and ended up going here for brunch both mornings bc of how good it was the first day!!! I got the omelette and my boyfriend got the traditional breakfast one day and the biscuits with collards the other day. All of it was so delicious. The service was incredible as everyone was very nice and attending. We will definitely be coming back here the next time that we are in Nashville.I cannot give this place enough stars!!! Here for lunch. Has the prawn cocktail and it's massive and one of the best I ever had. A must get Burger was disappointing. The bun was too big compared to the meat, which was to thin. Fries were nice and hot. Service presented well but execution off. Gave me my appetizer and main at the same time. Which meant my burger got cold while I ate my prawns. Bill showed up a the end without my asking which was weird. Perhaps waitress misheard. Mayo that was requested came out way too long. If I wasn't eating my prawns first I would have finished my burger before it came to my table. Beautiful decor. Upscale clientele.

Blue Aster invites you to indulge in the timeless tradition of afternoon tea, origination in the English aristocracy. Today, it remains a symbol of elegance and sophistication, and Blue Aster aims to uphold this venerable custom with a modern twist. From the thematic elements to the meticulous execution, expect a fully immersive experience. Each detail, from the elegant petite tea sandwiches to the rare and collectible international teas, is carefully curated. The assortment of teas is particularly impressive, offering a journey through the world's finest tea gardens. However, while Blue Aster excels in many areas, there is room for refinement. The desserts, though artfully presented, were somewhat disappointing, with the passion fruit truffle being the sole standout. Its perfect balance of favors was a delightful exception among otherwise lackluster sweets. Moreover, the teapots, though visually charming, failed to keep the tea warm for long, a minor yet notable flaw in an otherwise polished presentation. Additionally, some seating arrangements did not accommodate group sizes comfortable, detracting from the overall experience. While Blue Aster delivers a sophisticated afternoon tea experience with remarkable attention to details, enhancements to dessert quality and practical aspects could elevate it to truly exemplary standards. I am, notably, ready to return for another glamours and immersive tea experience.

While I would like to rate this place higher, I just could not do so in good conscience. Honestly, were it not for the privileges and benefits I receive as an American Express Platinum card holder, I could not tender a positive recommendation of this restaurant, or say that I would have had an enjoyable visit. With that said, I frequented this restaurant for both dinner and brunch / breakfast service the following morning as I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is located. While I have a very positive, possibly effusive commentary upon the hotel stay experience, I unfortunately cannot say the same for the restaurant. The food is mediocre and lacks seasoning. Some of the items are also quite small in portion while others are standard. I was okay with the experience, however, until it came time for the duck which, was so lacking of flavor, cold, overcooked, and poorly executed that not only, was it not, in fact, per the recommendation of the waiter, good, but it was outright terrible. Likewise, while the honey orange cake dessert looks like an attractive option, both in description on the menu as well as in visual form courtesy of my picture below, it was somewhere between bad and barely tolerable. To stay in such a nice hotel, you almost don't want to go anywhere. And I understand if you might be curious to explore the restaurant on top of not desiring to move. The Conrad is so comfortable, so luxurious, so great; but dining here is, at the very least, a mistake; and, at worst, a punishing oversight that will leave you miserable and confused.I guess I'll say the ambiance and view are both quite delightful, but that is all.

I recently had the opportunity to ring in the New Year at the Blue Aster restaurant inside the Conrad Hotel in Nashville. The evening promised a special prix fixe four-course dinner experience with wine pairings, a masquerade mask, and a midnight champagne toast. While there were certainly some highlights, a few disappointments left me questioning the overall value. The evening started off on a promising note with a surprise amuse-bouche reminiscent of an upscale tater tot. However, it was the starters that truly impressed. The crab salad, pork cheek terrine, oysters Rockefeller, and pork skin torchon were all delicious and showcased the chef's creativity. My husband still talks about the pork cheek terrine, the group's star. Unfortunately, the momentum didn't quite carry through to the mid-course dishes. The truffle ravioli, heirloom beets, bitter greens, and lobster croquette were decent but disappointingly small in portion, even for a four-course dinner. The entrees included a filet, halibut, black garlic short rib, pumpkin swordfish, stuffed pork loin, and delicata squash. While there were some standout dishes (the short rib), the overall execution fell short of the high expectations set by the menu. At this point, the value proposition started to waver, as the price point for the evening was $145 per person. The dessert options, a white chocolate mousse and a caramel/chocolate bar with banana coulis didn't quite live up to the preceding courses. They were fine but not memorable, and I couldn't help but wish for a more exciting conclusion to the meal. One of the letdowns of the evening was the ambiance. Despite the promise of a masquerade theme and a special New Year's Eve celebration, the atmosphere felt lacking. The New Year's Eve favors provided were cheap, and they ran out of decorative mask options before our seating time. Additionally, while a nice touch, the lounge area with live music was subdued and didn't create the festive atmosphere I had expected for such an occasion. To add to the disappointment, it was surprising to see men wearing t-shirts and jeans, along with children, at the event. It left me wondering whether the restaurant was still open for its regular menu or if there needed to be more enforcement of the dress code for the New Year's Eve celebration.

Dates of visit: August 11 + 12, 2023We were staying at the hotel for two days and received wildly different experiences between the two days. The one was great, the other was less so, and as such, averaging them out to 3 stars between the two visits. The first breakfast was great: Service was attentive and fun, and everything was cooked to perfection. The second day service was slow--despite the restaurant being more empty than the day before and while we were served tap water on day one, we were brought nearly $20 worth of bottled water on day two.Thankfully the food on both days was good, if a bit expensive for being a la carte.

Visited this place for the Grinch Tea, which obviously had better be good because that's a bold name to call it if they weren't going to deliver on the theming. No need to fear because the menu had cute names that referred to the cartoon and before long, the Grinch came out to take pictures at each table and to make time with the guests.Foodwise, it's an okay tea in a luxurious, lavish, quietly classy location. I say that because the tea food was nothing special. My faves were the Who Smoked Salmon Sandwich, the Cindy Lou Who Pecan Pie, and the I hate X-Mas Apple financier. The scones, which usually are the highlight for me at a tea if they scones are fresh and they're served with real devonshire or clotted cream, were not great and had a heavy baking soda flavor. And the service? The Grinch visited us more than the waitress. I wish I could give her the excuse that it was a busy day, but all we wanted was more hot tea for our tea pots and she was nowhere to be found after she gave us our tea pots. our food was served by someone else and we never saw her again. I'm not kidding when I say that the Grinch visited us four times and the waitress only once. What?!?Still we enjoyed our tea because in that lobby, you have beautiful furniture and it's easy to get into the Christmas spirit. Just don't expect extra hot water for your tea.

Loved that they had so many healthy options to eat. This is usually hard to find on a business trip. Came here for lunch in a Monday. Got the big eye tuna poke bowl but substituted salad greens for the sushi rice. It was the perfect light lunch. Came here for breakfast on a Tuesaday and the place was more bustling. I got the liver lover juice and the parfait. The juice was bottled. But still very good. The parfait was delicious and a good portion. The granola sat atop the yogurt and lots of fruit. The highlight was the brûlée pineapple. All pineapple should be this way! The Lounge- I got the "cheaper than a shrink" cocktail and it was very good. The lounge is lively at night.
