We are only in Nashville for one night this trip and found Black Tap was a good fit for everyone in our group. We had the nachos and fried mozz appetizers. The nachos were very good with queso con carne and a bright avocado sauce. The fried mozz was ok, but we were mostly disappointed with the tomato chipotle sauce which tasted like cold tomato soup.We tried three burgers (I could only get a photo of mine because the others dug right in when they arrived). All three (The Tennessee Burger, The Black Truffle Burger, and The Champ) tasted amazing. The fries looked pretty plain, but had a wonderful doubled-fried (almost battered tasting) texture. Excellent surprise. One of the draws to come here was the shakes, but faced with a 30 minute walk back to the hotel, we opted to skip them. Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly and took good care of us even though it got pretty busy by the time we left. The decor was pretty dark (which I don't mind) and there a couple TV's for watching the game (Penn State came back in the end to win in overtime). We will definitely be back on one of our future trips to Nashville.

We went on a Saturday when it was raining around 515-530pm. Got seated immediately, they were maybe half full of customers. Server was nice. Fried pickles were great, ranch dip was great. I got an American burger with Mayo snd fries, fries with limp and lukewarm at best, burger was boring and flavorless. To top that off, I went to the restroom, pee on the seat, went to another restroom, per on bowl, seat and all over the floor around the toilet, I had to clean the seat as best I could with some baby wipes I had in my bag so I could pee. I would've just held it, but I was about to burst. At least there was soap to scrub my hands with. Would not go back.

I had a few drinks in me before I got here but the burger was pretty good. I asked for medium and my friend asked for a rare burger. They swapped out plates on accident and I ate the rare burger. No big deal, at first I just thought they messed up my order. Good spot that was close to broadway but far enough where it wasn't super crowded. Pretty chill place, it seemed quiet when we were there on a Tuesday night.

Stopped in Black Top for dinner before a show at the Ryman. Wasn't to sure about it as we walked in but was impressed when we left. The Bar/Diner setup is not your typical place to grab a burger and a beer but flowed well. Everyone we dealt with, from our server to the kitchen staff bringing the food we're over the top! Our food was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. And they have alot of cracraft beer!!!

We decided to try something different in Nashville instead of BBQ. Decent sized group but we had made reservations. We were seated pretty quickly as it wasn't that busy yet. They had a large enough table to seat our group of 8. Our server was great. On top of the large orders and everything came out on time and together. Drinks and apps and then the main dishes and desserts. Everything was pretty good. The Korean bbq wings were really good. I believe they are a chain but I've never heard of them before this time. I would come back here or another location down the line .

Great place, a block off of Broadway on 3rd. The glass windows lining the street allow for optimal people watching adding to the experience. We ordered: fried mozzarella, salt and pepper wings, and the TN burger with fries. Food was all made well, only complaint was the bottom of the burger bun was soggy. Had we asked, I'm sure they would have corrected it. Our server, Nixon, was great and checked in quite a bit. I did get a rocky road shot bc I had no room for one of the delicious looking milkshakes and it was great. Can't wait to go back.

Food was good. I ordered the fried mozzarella triangles, and the chicken club w/ avocado. It def hit the spot. Drinks were good too. We had the passion fruit mojito which was perfectly balanced, & not too sweet. Service was great. Our server was so attentive, and kind. Ambiance was a nice, & relaxed vibe. I highly recommend coming here, and what's best is that it's open late night on the weekends (Fri/Sat) till 1am. Like me I needed a spot open late night, and this was the best choice. Keep it up Black Tap.
