Black Sheep Bagel Cafe

Had my first Black Sheep bagel today and I was blown away. Their bagels are truly exceptional! The staff was friendly and efficient. The cafe, although very small, wicked adorable and cozy. I will absolutely be going back.

The Boston bagel scene is bleak. Thank god for Black Sheep. Serving good bagels, consistently. It's doughy, and it's good. Perfectly salted. It's cute decorated with vintage vinyls. The staff is very friendly. My only complaint is since they're so busy, they limit amount of bagels you can buy. You cannot get a half dozen or dozen which is a bummer because their bagels are so good!

4.5/5 .Food: 4/5 - I got "the favorite" (boiled egg, avocado, tomato, chipotle aioli) on a whole wheat everything bagel and it was delicious! The bagel can get a bit messy & fall apart when you're eating bc of the way it's stuffed, so you want to plan for that.Service: 5/5 - The folks here are friendly & quick! My food was out in about 5-7mins -- and that was when it was busy! Loved that they don't take forever, especially with how crowded with how tight this establishment can get when it's busy. Ambiance: 5/5 - you definitely go here for the vibe! Excellent place to meet up with a friend or two on the weekend. This is most definitely a place I'd return; I think it's a fantastic, casual spot to bring an out of town friend/family for a quick bite before a day of adventure. But be warned -- the line often leaks out of the doorway. The earlier you head to Black Sheep, the better.

Wow these bagels were good. And the restaurant itself was so cute. It was very cozy and a nice break from the cold and rainy Boston weather. It's a small place, but we were able to find a table pretty easily.

Hands down the best bagel sandwiches I've had in Boston. I got "the favorite" (hard boiled egg, avocado, tomato, and chipotle aioli), which had ingredients that were well-balanced, fresh, savory, and delicious. My bagel was also fresh and had the perfect texture of being crispy on the outside, yet fluffy and soft on the inside.My friend's order of Turkey Avocado (turkey, avocado, lettuce, onions, chipotle aioli) was delicious as well.The line was to the door when we went at noon on a Saturday, but it moved very quickly and we got our food pretty soon after ordering as well.There are cute café tables to dine in at, but tables are hard to get and the space was very crowded, so we got our orders to-go and ate at the park across the street.Will definitely be back to try more of their options!

Friendly service and fast, first time trying out this spot for bagels and was very happy with the quality. The bagel was nice and crispy once toasted, the right amount of chew and texture. Good cream cheese as well

This place was so delicious. We went around closing time but they still served us which was really kind. The prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are super filling and delicious. The inside filling is refreshing and you can tell that the ingredients are fresh. The ambiance was adorable too and was decorated really cute.

As a bagel lover it is my passion to find bagel shops in the Boston area. Through Yelp I came across this bagel store and may I say it did not disappoint!I stopped by at around 8am this morning, as soon as I entered the store I was welcomed by a lovely atmosphere. It is a small but spacious store, very nicely decorated and with an earthy vibe. There is a good amount of tables and chairs. The lady working at the register greeted me with a lovely smile and was very sweet and nice. I decided to order the Lox Classic on an everything bagel and my total was around 11$, which I think it is a good price as I usually pay the same amount of money at bagel shops in NYC.My order did not take long to be ready and since I needed to be at work I opted to take my order to go. As soon as I got to work I tried my bagel. I think my Lox Classic bagel was simply delicious and the portion of my bagel definitely satisfied me. The bagel itself tasted amazing and was also perfectly toasted; the cream cheese was abundant and flavorful and the lox salmon was also very enjoyable.This bagel shop just gained a customer because I cannot wait to be back and try more!

They have a wide variety of options to choose from. They also have a decent gluten-free bagel, though it's quite small and they only have plain. They gave me a hard time about toasting it contamination-free, so I took the risk and gave in to the regular toaster. Gotta stand up for yourself here! I also got the café con leche which TBH was wayyyy too milky. The lox cream cheese was nice, and I heard that the Bacon Egg and Fig was delish. Four stars for being one of few bagel places with a gluten-free option.

This review is specific to their coffees as I didn't get a chance to try their bagels. Really good coffee and I'd come again!
