Black Diamond Bakery and Restaurant

This review is now for the restaurants. We were seating immediately when we arrive around 10:45 on a Monday. Food prices are in the high end. They serve breakfast until 2:00 and then lunch until 4:00. They have a decent selection of items. I got the breakfast burrito, which was a generous portion. It came with hashbrowns. My husband got the omelet and once again, big enough to have left overs. Prior to our meal coming out, they gave us some canned food peaches and a mini muffin which was a nice surprise appetizer.

This place is so good. I love to go there for their breakfast and the view especially on a sunny morning is amazing. The servers are always super nice and food comes out in a timely manner as well and I love the complimentary muffin and peaches you get with your meal.

We came here because my dad and his wife LOVE this place. They raved and said we had to go. I love the set up with the bakery and the restaurant. They have a LARGE and wonderful bakery selection. They also have a separate area for larger parties. They have outside seating as well and a beautiful view of mt Rainer. We sat down and weren't served, not even given water for a long time, maybe 15-20 minutes. We weren't too pressed as it was Mother's Day weekend and they were busy. We finally got water and we're able to order. I had the biscuits and gravy that came with hash browns and 2 eggs. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the hash browns were decent. However, the biscuits and gravy weren't very good. The gravy unfortunately tasted like a mix you make store bought. I should have known after eating a lot of southern breakfast. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito and described it as baby food that someone else chewed first. He said the insides were completely mush and not at all appetizing. I would come again for the bakery selection but would skip out on the restaurant portion...

Just 4 miles from Maple Valley this place serves a great breakfast and has a fantastic bakery. I stopped in this morning before the church crowd and lingered a few minutes in the reception area/bakery. Everything looked incredible and I'm going to have to purchase some brownies and cookies on my next trip.I was warmly greeted and selected the hearty breakfast. It came with two eggs of your choice, sausage, patty, hashbrowns, and biscuits and gravy. Needless to say it was a very filling and delicious meal. The servers were all friendly and courteous, and kept my coffee topped off .Highly recommend for a great breakfast or bakery.

I have never been to this bakery and restaurant and I met some friends here for lunch and boy I was blown away. They had an extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch. I didn't even look at the dinner menu. I'm sure it was amazing. I got a coffee And a French dip sandwich with french fries and everything was so good. I also got some bakery items to go. I cannot wait to go back. This little hole in the wall that's off the beaten path is a true gem in the Black Diamond area. The view from the glass terrarium seating area is beautiful. I wish I had taken a photo of that. It's got a very Ma and Pa diner feel to it. The menu feels very brunch heavy but I'm sure a lot of people go there for that.Very reasonably priced. My sandwich with a coffee for lunch was $16 before I added pastries.

Worst prime rib I've ever had in my entire life! Owners response was, "Oh sorry." Black Diamond Grill close by is far superior!

This bakery/restaurant is located in a very nice quiet area, so country like. This is our 2nd time eating breakfast there. After a year, I just had to return and because they serve you a bowl of sweet Peaches with a little muffin, oh so good. I think it's a nice little pre course before your meal comes. That's why I came back, it's something I've not had before. On a clear day you can see Mt. Rainier thru the restaurant windows. Cinnamon nut/Raisin French toast is my favorite! Hubby had the Breakfast Ham Burrito, delicious! Whenever you're in WA, this is a must place to eat, a very historic piece of history!

My Kids & I were out and about last weekend and they wanted to eat @blackdiamondbakery for breakfast. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, EggEggs Benedict w/a side toast, Denver Omelette, OJ, Blended Mocha, Soda. While you wait they give you this yummy mini a blueberry muffin and some peaches. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with this gorgeous panoramic view of Mt. Rainier. The staff are friendly and food were good! Must try if you haven't.

Very cute historic building. We got a variety of individual pastries and breads to go, and really enjoyed them. The dinner rolls were my favorite, we have been making little turkey sandwiches with them and they are perfect slider-sized buns. The cheesy jalapeño bread was also a hit, as well as the chocolate oat bar. We will definitely come back.

Wow- this restaurant has gone straight down- so bad , service non existent, just young people wondering around in slow motion without a care in the world that you are in the restaurant- and the food my god nearly inedible I ordered a French dip and they served it with a burnt bun, yes a burnt bun in a "bakery" restaurant -could go on about the unclean sticky tables and the filthy bathrooms! Think of those rest stop bathrooms, I will not be back
