Walking into this quirky joint feels like stepping into a friend's living room, if your friend happened to be an avant-garde artist with a penchant for pasta. This is where culinary whimsy meets comfort food bliss in the heart of Seattle's eclectic landscape. We ordered the Forest Floor Frenzy, which was divine. The wild mushrooms paired with the crunchy walnuts in a creamy sherry sauce, while the housemade parpadelle ribbon pasta provided the perfect canvas for this gastronomic masterpiece. And let's not forget the chicken, tender and flavorful, adding a delightful twist to an already enchanting dish. My companion chose My Blue Pasgetti, which was described as too tasty with its Pacific prawns paired in a luxurious creamy rosemary and blue cheese sauce, with hints of nutmeg and roasted garlic weaving throughout, plus the housemade pancetta added a salty-sweet kick that elevated every bite. I'm in love. It's not just about the food at Bizzarro, it's also the ambiance that sets it apart. From the quirky decor to the friendly staff, there's a sense of warmth and whimsy that makes you feel right at home (albeit with better food than your average kitchen would typically whip up ;))

This was our second time at Bizzarro and it was just as good of an experience as the first time.I love that they start your meal with some amazing bread and our server was extremely helpful when picking out some wine (went with a bottle of Chianti). We got the clams as an appetizer and I would highly recommend! They say the broth is a "life changing tomato based broth" and they were right, it's devine. I got the elk bolognese and my partner got the special (a chicken with lemon and olive pasta dish) both were extremely delicious! I wish we had room for dessert but we were both stuffed! I am hesitant to recommend this place only because I don't want it to get any busier and I'm selfish and want to keep this place all to myself. If you want some amazing Italian food you really don't have to look anywhere else, go to Bizzarro but be mindful, there could be a long wait as it's a smaller place and they don't do reservations.

So good! Decor was fun and so interesting to look at. There's a $5 fee if you look at your phone which I love. Came here at around 7:45pm on a Saturday and was seated asap. Bread was served and service was attentive. We got the arancini to share which we all agreed was the best we've had, and I got the puttanesca by recommendation. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the portions were big. I will be back to try more.

Bizarro is funky, dare I even say, bizarre, little neighborhood restaurant in Wallingford serving up classic Italian food. The interior is heavily decorated in knick knacks and lots of interesting paintings and photographs. The Star Wars audio description was playing in the bathroom. Bikes hung from the ceiling. Truly bizarro. We had no reservation for a party of 4 but was able to get seated right away at around 5:30 pm. We found street parking easily across the street. We were greeted with some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which was soft and delicious. We ordered the clam linguini and one of the seasonal specials, the butternut squash Alfredo. Both pastas were good and filling, classic but not life changing. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert, and this was not that great. It was very dense and the ladyfingers felt more like cake than cookies. There were almost no air pockets in the mascarpone. It was messing drizzled in the kind of chocolate syrup you find on ice cream sundaes. Overall, 3.5/5 stars, rounded up to 4. PS There's an unofficial game of "where's Waldo" going on as well -- we found 4!

We went on a Saturday around 610pm. We placed ourselves on their waitlist and they said it'll be around a 30 min wait, and they'll give us a call. We went over to Archie McPhee while we waited, so that helped the time fly by, and it was most likely less than 30 mins anyway. We were seated, the place lives up to its name. There's so many things to look at inside the restaurant. We got bread on the table quickly when we sat down. We ordered their Forest Floor Frenzy and Clam Linguine. Both were delicious-- seasoned well and handmade pasta is great, and both came with a nice amount of mushrooms and clams respectively. Both came with house salad. The tiramisu was nice and big. Great flavor and big lady fingers. Service was quick and attentive.

After one failed attempt to go, we waited outside before Bizzaro opened at 5:30. There was already a line so defo go early if you want to go. Food wise: we liked the forest floor pasta and the appetizers. The elk bolognese was not flavorful much, the clam linguini would be a lot better with dry pasta and the wine wasn't dry enough so overall not flavorful enough. The tiramisu is weird, tasted like whipped cream only and lady finger tasted like cake. Anyway probably won't go again

Such a great neighborhood cafe! The inside is very eclectic and the wait staff is really friendly. We had the Manila clams for an appetizer which were delicious followed by pasta for the meal. Highly recommend one of their more popular dishes of Elk Bolognese!

How did it take me this long to try this place?????? The food was really good, but there is a lot of good food around Wallingford/Greenlake/Fremont, so that wouldn't be enough to hit 5 stars. The ambiance - funky, eclectic....the bathroom played star wars excerpts and was covered in family photos from the 70's and 80's - I'm old enough that these hits of nostalgia were REALLY appreciated. The "no cell phone" signs made me absurdly happy....but then I was a little bit sad because it took me WEEKS to write this review, and I didn't have photos to back me up. The space is tiny - expect a wait if you go. Just EXPECT it, don't let that deter you. Walk around the neighborhood until you are called. Go to Sock Monster, Archie McPhee, any other funky area stores....just be patient. The Drunken Clams appetizer was one of the most amazing things I've eaten in a long time - they called it "life changing" and I am not sure they were exaggerating. I have a wheat allergy (thankfully I'm not Celiac, that would limit far more in my life) and their g/f pasta was really good. My partner said the "regular" pasta was pretty awesome as well!!!
