I went to Bixi for dinner and was captivated by the contrasting atmospheres: the upstairs had an airy, open vibe, while the downstairs offered a cozy, dimly lit lounge feel.We ordered the Yuzu Kosho Caesar Salad (ramps, cherry tomatoes, bacon lardons, toasted nori panko crumbs, Pork Char SIU Baos (lettuce, cucumber, scallion, pickled long fingers), and the Togarashi Smash Burger (japanese milk bun, slagel farms beef, sweet and sour aioli, red onion, heirloom tomato, kaiware) with fries. Everything was phenomenal but the caesar salad was particularly outstandingTo add to our experience the staff was very friendly and helped us find the perfect combination of dishes! Can't wait to go back

I haven't even had a chance to dine in with Bixi Beer yet- and I already have no desire to go back. I had passed by this place so many times, and had been meaning to check it out. A little over a month ago I finally made a reservation for three people, since my parents were coming into town that weekend. The reservation was for 12:30pm on a Saturday. That morning I got a call that my mother was sick, and she wasn't making it into the city. I immediately canceled the reservation online (still 4/5 hours before the reservation), and then also decided to go out of my way and give them a call as a heads up as well. I called four times that morning with no answer, 3 of those were within opening hours. By the fourth time someone finally answers, and I let her know that I already canceled the reservation this morning, but wanted to give them a heads up and also make sure they were not charging my credit card. She puts me on hold and tells me she has to ask the manager. She comes back and says the manger said it's no problem, they see the canceled reservation and they will not be charging my card. Great. Fast forward the next day- I see that they did in fact charge my card, the same day I spoke and confirmed with them over the phone that they weren't running it. I try to contact them yet again.... which again was close to impossible to get anyone to answer the phone (during business hours and prior). Once I finally get in touch with someone- they are confused why I was charged $30 as that's not even the amount they would charge for a no-show. And again, this wasn't a no-show, I canceled online AND went out of my way to speak to them live prior to this reservation. Days later I get a call from someone who I assume is the manager, he's super apologetic and lets me know that they are having trouble with the refund process, but he gave me his personal phone number and let me know that he would reach back out in a *couple days when the refund has gone through. I gave him the benefit of the doubt as I understand how hard it is for businesses right now, and just waited for the refund to hit and to hear back from this manager. That was on July 24th- I waited over a week and followed up on 8/2, which again, has just been ignored. At this point it's been almost 4 weeks since the charge and it's been dead silent on their end. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for so long but at this point, after a month of being mistakenly charged, now I just feel like I'm getting the run-around. Not a great impression for a restaurant I haven't even been to, and now I have absolutely NO desire to come back. This issue shouldn't have happened in the first place, and it certainly shouldn't be a month later with more problems, and no response from Bixi in the meantime. I wouldn't visit here or give them any access to your credit card information.

We ordered:1. Char Siu Smash Burger - pork belly, grilled onions, american cheese, sunny side egg2. Spicy Fried Chicken Sando - japanese milk bun, tobiko mayo, ssamjang, lettuce, pickles, jalapeno3. Mochi Pancakes w/ Berry MixDecent food at best. Smash Burger is not a smash Burger if you look at the beef patties. Beef itself was not particularly flavorful but in combination with the other ingredients made the burger tasty. Sunny egg was not runny so it didn't add to the burger. Half the fries were overcooked without a fluffy center. Aioli sauce was good. As much as I enjoyed the soft bun, structural integrity was weak including the beef patties. The burger began to fall apart after the second bite. My friend's chicken sandwich was alright. Chicken was crispy but neither juicy nor dry. Nothing to praise or criticize about the mochi pancakes; I tasted the mochi texture. They have a dim sum menu which is just offensive if you grew up eating dim sum. $10 PER dish and among those dishes is Sichuan peanuts and kimchi. Charging $10 for peanuts and kimchi EACH? A blatant money grab.Service was good. Waitress was very nice. You're mainly paying for the lovely patio/second floor.

has potential, but needs a lot of improvement. the server, while sweet, couldn't answer any questions (re: seasonal cocktails, ingredients, etc), the food was very slow to come out, and there was a lot of sodium masking some lack of flavor.the sweet items were very good, some of the cocktails were fine. we sat upstairs, and it was uncomfortably hot with the sun shining in, it was like a greenhouse effect.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this meal. Luckily we arrived early on a weekend and could get in. Every single thing we ordered was amazing! I think my favorites were the garlic noodles and fries. We sat in the lower area and it was pretty dimly lit but very good vibes. Can't wait to go back!

The salad had some slight zest and a great crunch. The crab Rangoons were decent and actually had crab, lobster, and shrimp as the proteins accompanied with a sweet Thai chili sauce. As a group we decided to sample several items which the first was the banh mi. It was good but had too much cilantro in my opinion. The scallion garlic noodles were summarized perfectly as an asian cacio e Pepe. One of the better dishes we tried. Their char siu pork belly burger was solid, but it had thicker patties which I felt like it didn't balance the rest of the ingredients within the burger. The togarashi burger was a lighter in flavor from the heirloom tomato. And the spicy chicken sando had a solid crunch and perfect umami kick, but I would get it without the lettuce personally. I'm just not a lettuce person on a sandwich.

This place was amazing! Ambiance is beautiful and even romantic. Food was spectacular and fresh! Our waitress was so sweet and patient, she even assisted with drink recommendations that did not disappoint. Will be coming back to try more on the menu.

Great date night for creative, solid dishes with fun drinks. Rangoon Royale - 4/5. Fancy crab rangoon, exactly as advertised. Nice and crispy, tasty sweet chili sauce. Pork Char Siu Baos - 4/5. Thick, well made bao. Good BBQ bork flavor. Well balanced with acid.Southern Fried Chicken Sando - 3.5/5. Milk bun was disappointing given prior reviews, felt like a standard bun. Decent fried chicken. Pickle flavor is prominent.Crab and Uni Udon Noodle - 3.5/5. Seafood heavy. Nice level of chili. Didn't love the uni bites. Enjoyed the fruited sour beer and Cherry 335 bourbon cocktail. My wife had a solid IPA.

Went to Bixi Beer to check out their happy hour, 3-5 PM Sunday through Friday. Tried the First Cut and Sucker Punch cocktail, both refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). Ordered the beef fat fries, potstickers, red ocean and dragon turtle sushi rolls. Yum! All were delicious, excited to return to try more items on the menu! We were sat upstairs under the retractable roof area, very bright and lots of plants. It was rainy that day so would love to sit on the outdoor patio next time. Service was great, very attentive and quick!

Very much wanted to enjoy this experience but ended up leaving before receiving anything. Arrived for bar seating at rooftop bar and received water from bartender but he never gave any follow up service for an order. Eventually a man with a suit came 40 minutes later and we ordered a bottle of sake to share and crab Rangoon. At the 55 minutes mark it was obvious we were not going to be served anything anytime soon so ended up leaving to avoid the craziness any further. Disappointing as it does look like a really great place with good drinks and food options but clearly under staffed.
