For breakfast on a Lake Stevens/Marysville adventure today, Wednesday 5 July 2023, I stopped by Biscuit & Bean on Main Street in Lake Stevens. It had shared parking accessible off Main Street and its name was visible from the parking spots. I had heard about it before my adventure today and ultimately chose it for my only breakfast stop as the nearby Lake Stevens Donuts was closed for the day due to an injured baker.Inside, the lighting was warm in tone and music played in the background. Placing my order and payment was straightforward and the worker was cordial. I decided to go with a Lumberjack sandwich on buttermilk biscuit. When my order was ready, I picked up a few of the napkins available with other coffee/dining supplies. The sandwich was large, sausage patty thick and cheese melty. The biscuit was warm and crumbly with a golden exterior and the egg a textural fit with the sausage. For the red sauce of sorts on the sandwich, I initially thought it might be a bacon spread as it looked like bacon bits. So, I savored it a little more selectively on my palate while eating and decided on an herbed tomato spread. Re-checking the menu later, it listed a tomato jam as part of the sandwich. I ate the whole sandwich in one go, finding it to be a filling serving.

What a cute little place! My husband stopped here for a breakfast sandwich and took me back here just to try it. Warm staff that greeted us on a rainy day and recommended we try the Rose Bud coffee (white chocolate raspberry) and it was delicious! The small menu leaves for refined options that are clearly made with great ingredients and human touch. We ordered the Lumberjack (sausage and bacon patty) on a chive and cheese biscuit with tomato jam and cheddar cheese. My mother in law got the biscuits with a side of leek & mushroom gravy mixed with their sausage gravy (their recommendation) and it was all fantastic.

I got the cappuccino with oat milk and it was pure perfection- their beans are from Fulcrum Coffee Roasters which is located locally in Seattle and supports sustainability efforts and grower empowerment which makes for some great quality beans. It's hard to find a good cup of coffee in this area that doesn't need sugar or syrups to taste good. Being familiar with single origin coffee and roasters back in Michigan has trained me to recognize the good stuff so I highly recommend Biscuit and Bean! They have lots of yummy food options as well.

I never liked the dish biscuits and gravy until I tried the biscuits and gravy at Biscuit & Bean. They have two kinds of biscuits: buttermilk or cheddar & green onion. I got the biscuit and gravy: breakfast sausage served with the cheddar & green onion. The biscuit was very flavorful, nice and moist. You can tell that it was made fresh on the day. The gravy is a creamy base with sausage chunks in it. It was very tasty. The dish costed $10 and it was enough to share between two people. The dish was very flavorful overall. There are limited seats at this location. Free parking is available in the front. I found out about this place from my Yelper friend C. She highly recommended it. Honestly if it wasn't for Yelper C, I would not have known that there is a town called Lake Stevens. The restaurant / bakery is located right across from City Hall.

Eh, it's okay. We were passing through Lake Stevens after a disappointing breakfast in Mill Creek, so we stopped by for a biscuit and chai. The location is convenient, and service was outstanding. We decided on the cheddar and green onion biscuit with the mixed berry jam. The jam was delicious. The biscuit was super dense--it felt and tasted heavy. The chai latte was cloyingly sweet. The place is inappropriately ventilated, so I strongly recommend getting your stuff to go.

Wife got a biscuit with egg and cheese. She liked it.I got the Lumberjack Sandwich. It was disgusting. If I judged biscuit and bean just on this sandwich it would be 1 star. The bacon patty does not work. I love bacon but this was gross. I'm not convinced anyone could possible think this is better than just using bacon. I tried to remove it but it left black gunk all over the rest of the sandwich so I ended up throwing it out.Restaurant was clean and nice. And the staff was friendly. This was my second time going here. I will not be back.

I wanted biscuit and gravy and did a search on where to get it. Biscuit & Bean showed up. Lake Stevens was not on my radar, I didn't even know this town exists. Sorry to the residents in the area. I am so glad for google and Yelp as now I know how welcoming and friendly this town is. The staff are cheerful and warm. It has this small town vibe where people know each other, from the conversations I heard when there. The place is small with only 4 tables/bar tables. There are some tables outside but in this cold weather, you will want to be indoors. Drawback is your hair and clothes will smell of the baking going on. To the food. I had the biscuit and gravy. Buttermilk biscuit was sold out when I was there so I had the maple bacon biscuit which was amazing. The staff recommended the mushroom leek gravy and it was so flavorful. Loved it! It was so filling too. And there I was, thinking if I should add more items. But no, the two pieces of biscuits (could be 1 sliced into half) with the gravy was substantial. Now I get the hype of biscuit and gravy. The good ones are just delicious! The biscuit was not dry, just a bit crumbly and not overly so. The flat white was pretty good too. They make good coffee here. There was lots of take out orders. I was lucky to get a table too. Definitely recommended. Tip: get a coffee and go across the road and take a walk along the lake. Great way to spend a morning.

Was in town for a Debut at The Mill, decided to stop in for a quick bite. Biscuits and gravy is misleading and incorrect. Should be biscuit* and gravy. It's ONE biscuit and gravy for $10. Had to double check the menu after receiving my order, cause it only contained 1 biscuit. Auto-tip options are set at 20%/25%/30%, which is patently absurd. Sausage gravy doesn't have much sausage in it at all.

I don't even like biscuits and this place has converted me! If I could give a 11/10 I would. This place is incredible! The biscuit is so soft and buttery and tastes so good with the gravy! You can tell the gravy is homemade. It's so flavorful, and the garden sandwich is a go to too! Adding the egg makes it a full meal. The service is great the people are super friendly, and the inside is a small coffee shop feel. The coffee is great too. They use fulcrum! YUM! We will 100% be back! Only reason I hadn't gone is because I don't like biscuits but now I'm converted!!! Totally check this place out if you haven't.
