Birrieria y Menuderia Guadalajara

This place has been coming across my IG feed with the most beautiful pics of their food. Went for lunch today with my son and had tacos dorados and the Guadalajara.A gorgeous thick corn tortilla with cheese, birria AND chicharrón en chile verde?!?!We were shocked at how absolutely delicious these were. Service was great, everyone super friendly. We will be back with the whole fam. Can't wait to try the menudo.

Visited TWICE as to be fair on my review. First visit, was sat outside BATHROOM DOORS (Literally) Second visit, purposely and respectfully requested any table NOT next to bathroom doors. Well was placed outside KITCHEN door! (Literally)Mind you, this after an over 20minute wait. Ordered pozole, which was served- Luke warm and tastes right out of a can! Asked for salt as our condiment container was lacking items. Waiter frowned and rudely advised miniature salt packets were at bottom of poorly placed sugar packets! My aunt requested her quesadilla be extra toasted- waiter RUDELY replied "we DONT DO THAT" ( WE ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS- you cater meals to accommodate) this request resulted in our waiter NEVER checking in on our table again! Bus boys brought out food so waiter only came back to deliver bill and COLLECT payment! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

Great service! Very attentive!Great food. We travelled some 30 miles round trip to discover there is restaurant with 2 miles of our house.

I've been to their Broadway location a few times & have loved it there. Was nice to find that they have more locations now. The food is still just as great here. I love ordering their tuetano (comes with handmade tortillas & consome with a heaping amount of birria). I also love getting their birria de chivo, they definitely do it right here & it doesn't have the weird goat after taste. Some of our favorite tacos to get here is the taco de birria con chicharron & the taco de buche. Overall, this is one of my favorite spots in the Chula Vista area!

Very first time coming here. I always look for good menudo so we gave it a try. It was good. For my taste, the menudo and birria lack a little of the red chile flavor in the broth but still pretty good. Personal preference though, my husband really enjoyed it. The tortillas a great, they are yellow corn and those soft ones that have the flavor. It did complement my menudo and made it better. We each got a birria taco to try, it was missing the crunchy fried tortilla experience that you get from a "traditional" birria taco. BUT again, it's preference. The birria was good and both plates almost felt guilt-free, just because everything seemed to be and tasted not so greasy. This is my new favorite menudo family restaurant in San Diego. Hands down excellent. Great service, fresh corn tortillas, great birria and menudo. Everything was so fresh and delicious and price was fair.

Been here a few times & I like it better than the other location they have. First I like to say I'm a Menudo & Birria snob & this place past the test. I'm a big fan of White Menudo & it's hard to find good White Menudo in SD & this place now has my fav white menudo. It's so pure, clean & so flavorful & the Red Menudo is pretty good here. The Birria De Res was ok, I was more a fan of the Chivo which is also hard to find in SD & it was real good. Pozole was ok, a bit too salty for me but portions were big. And what makes most of the food here taste better is the hand made corn tortillas, that's a big plus. Serving beer,micheladas here is also a plus. The customer service is cool, they can work on being more attentive but they are very friendly. Week days are great days to come because it's not as pack weekends if you come pass 10am it can get real busy & wait might be a bit, it's ok tho just buy a Jamba Juice next door & wait, it's worth it.

I had the large menudo rojo, birria and tripas taco and some beans with chicharrones!! The food was tasty, servings were ample and the price is right!I was greeted by Carlos and seated immediately. The server was courteous, well mannered and very attentive. I was starving when I went in since I hadn't eaten since around 5pm the night before so I was pleasantly surprised that my food came so timely. Everything was hot and seasoned on point! I went on a Tuesday at around 11:45 and it was quiete but a good atmosphere. I hear The Weeknd crowd is larger so bring some patience and expect a great meal. It's worth it! Loved it! Thank you Carlos for a well served meal for my mother and I. She loved it as well as me.

The food is so good. I was hungry leaving the TJ airport and looked up places to eat before driving home and food this place on yelp. My friends and I loved it and will be coming back the next time we are in the area.
