"At Bird Talk Chicken, the chicken speaks for itself."That's the motto of this cool Cali-based fast casual concept. Bird Talk made their debut here in Tempe in 2023 and specializes in Nashville hot chicken. These guys have a menu that features various forms of chicken like chicken tenders, fried chicken, grilled chicken and wings. All types of chicken are on the menu here at Bird Talk. They also have a selection of sauces for your chicken so that you can make things as spicy and flavorful as you want. I came by here one afternoon for lunch. I am all about the sides and they have a number of them to choose from. I ordered the fried pickles and some wings to start things off. Then I ordered The Nashville with some mac and cheese. The sandwich was pretty good, but I thought the mac and cheese was the real highlight. I am a big mac and cheese guy and love it when it is really cheesy and creamy. Nashville Hot Chicken is a big thing these days and these concepts have been popping up all over the Valley. I personally don't mind having several options to choose from. Bird Talk is a solid choice.

You don't need to be as wise as an owl to know that the bird is the word! Even the bird-brained wouldn't be able to pass up the discount for this restaurant by showing a receipt from neighbor Mochi Fresh. The special bird of the day for us were the chicken nuggets. We got an order to go with the house-made honey mustard sauce. Since every item is made to order it was a small wait for the nuggets but it wasn't too bad and it gave us time to admire the cool and hilarious chicken themed art on the walls. The nuggets came with fries and were well packaged in separate paper trays that were then placed in a large Styrofoam box. While the packaging was secure it did make the food a little steamed rather than crispy by the time we got home but it was still a pretty cluckin' good meal. The breading on the chicken was nice, and the chicken looked like it was prepared by hand since there were various sizes to these chicken chunks . The meat itself was tender. I also liked the honey mustard sauce to dip the nuggets in. So if you feel like Cibo Matto in the sense that you got to Know Your Chicken, this is a good option to indulge in your culinary penchant for poultry.

Always great service and awesome food. The Nashville hot definitely has some spice to it and the fries are always great. Good spot for a quick delicious lunch.

The wings are so darn good! The chicken sandwich is a nice portion and so crispy and juicy. Careful with that first bite! I love the crispness of the fries and their ranch dressing. Okay, I love everything! A must try! Dining room is limited seating. Fast friendly service and piping hot food!

It's decent. The coleslaw isn't sloppy with overdressed mayo, so that's a positive! Quality of chicken was subpar, unfortunately. Look at my pics and u can see proof of how THIN and (I cant emphasize enough) how TOUGH the meat presents itself. I totally get that u can't always have a spectacular-juicy piece of meat, but when literally that is ALL your restaurant serves, is chicken, then maybe, just maybe, focus on a great piece of breast? Idk, but either way, they need a new meat supplier, are in need of chef who understands not serving quality foods, or stop price gauging at $15 for this? Too bad b/c the flavor is there. I just can't give it more than 3 stars when literally the entire shtick here is chicken! Mac and Cheese was spot on. Had a bit of tasty spice in it, so beware of ordering it for kiddos who are picky. I enjoyed the Mac the best. This is a chain restaurant that proves itself as one. Imo, Hot Chicken Alley in PV is the gold metal and worth the drive. Go find out realness with a side of friendly service and an owner who knows quality chx!

I ordered loaded tots and Nashville Loaded Mac. Didn't get to get a picture of the loaded tots, which did not have enough toppings on it and had no taste. All the food looked so good but The Nashville Loaded Mac was nasty. The chicken was undercooked and the whole meal had a funny/weird taste. However I gave two stars for good service and prompt time, maybe why chicken was not fully cooked. It's so many other places like this in my area and suggest this place get better because there is competition out there. I tried this place because they were new and I like supporting but I would not suggest this place!

There are tons of chicken joints popping up everywhere these days and this one got my attention for the day. Located in a little shopping center with plenty of parking, you'll find this hole in the wall with some decent food. Very simple and minimal decor EXCEPT for the pretty cool paintings that are hanging on most walls. I got the honey chicken sandwich with mac and cheese. The sandwich wasn't bad. Definitely juicy chicken with good seasoning and good sized. The mac was very box like too simple for me but the fries were more than good enough. Price wise, this place isn't bad. You get your moneys worth and some good food. I gotta mention there isn't a rest room and I really needed to wash my hands. Luckily the young gent behind the counter allowed me to use a sink against the wall. We had some banter and he asked my opinion on the place and I was honest. He also told me that there were locations closer to the state I live in and I thought that was pretty cool. I hope this place stays afloat, I plan on stopping by another day that I'm in town again.

A fairly small shop serving hot chicken. The music playing with the TV going at a low volume is a bit strange. The service was fine.The chicken combo is around 13.50, drinks not included. It comes with a dipping sauce and a side. Loaded fries are a dollar extra and definitely not worth it. It only comes with a tiny amount of bacon and cheese with lots of green onion. The green onion overpowers any flavor and I picked them out.I got the honey butter and Nashville chicken both spicy. Both lack flavor and the dipping sauce is necessary to save the sandwich. However, the sauces we tried (comeback and house) are not very flavorful either or distinct from each other. The bun was good but that doesn't really make the sandwich.The fries are much better than the tots and are fried well.Overall very pricey for the amount you get and lacks flavor compared to competitors or even fast food shops. The loaded fries are a scam and the dipping sauces aren't great either.

The Mac and cheese is a solid 3/10 does not taste like cheese. It lacks flavor tremendously. The tator tots decent a solid 4/10 no again lacks flavor. The cheese isn't cheesing? It's lacking flavor of cheese. The Nashville chicken hot isn't anything near spicy in my opinion. But it's flavorful and greatly made. I would order the sandwich itself again. The spicy chicken sandwich is also tasty. I could see this one being their #1 on the menu.
