Bird Rock Coffee Roasters - Little Italy

This is the location to frequent solo or with a group/kids. The others are always slow, frustrating, packed, out of listed menu items, and lacking on service. Great long space for sitting and can move tables together easily for groups. Other Bird Rock places have little to no room and/or are always packed.We love the all the treats they source here -- better than other spots. Helps to be in Little Italy. They consistently have their hot breakfast menu items, too. They take time to mix/make your coffee orders -- other places say they don't or tell you to do it yourself. Our go to with our young family!

Good coffee and friendly staff! This location has quite a bit of seating, which is great too. I got the sea salt caramel latte. Honestly it didn't taste like caramel but the espresso was good. Bonus points for free almond and soy milk!

Dear Bird Rock...you seriously need to figure out how to serve hot tea. It is hilarious and sad at the same time that you don't have hot water readily available, but have to use an old tea kettle to heat the water for the tea. Also, the fact you don't carry earl gray is really odd since it is the most popular tea in the entire world. The whole process of ordering to having to wait 8 minutes for a cup of tea to be made is really strange. I wanted to make a change from Starbucks, but Bird Rock most certainly isn't the solution. Please figure out how to get hot water, rather than forcing your customers to sit and wait for a little tea kettle to boil. It's a waste of time.

Matcha latte - ordered as iced and sweetened with whole milk. matcha flavor not strong as I would like but I enjoyed how the sweetness does not overpower the drink. I got a nice balance of subtle earthy matcha flavor and some sweetness in the latte. It does tastes watery quickly so I downed my drink relatively quick to preserve the flavor :DService was friendly and quick :D Cute interior, giving me of surfing/hipster vibes. Requires street parking but I found one relatively easy as I came pretty early at 9AM. I could imagine parking being more of a hassle later in the day.

Great coffee shop for coffee or breakfast! The location itself is very clean and big . As you walk in you're greeted by staff . The menu has a variety of options for everyone's taste with milk replacements. I personally loved their hazelnut iced coffee with oat milk and their breakfast sandwich . This is definitely a coffee shop i recommend for anyone in the area to check out . You will not be disappointed!

Honestly loved this place. It was perfect work ambience on a Monday morning, food and drinks came out quickly and plenty of places to sit. It was very clean inside with a corporate city vibe. My horchata latte was perfectly cinnamony and not too sweet, and the breakfast sandwich was surprisingly amazing for $8. It was a little spicy, freshly made, piping hot with a runny egg. Absolutely will come back

I stopped by recently to grab some coffee and get some work done. Unfortunately, this Bird Rock honestly doesn't have much comfortable seating, and my latte wasn't anything super memorable. I wish it had a richer taste, but the level of sweetness was good. After breaking my back for a few hours, I decided to call it quits and take the rest of my coffee back to the ergonomic clutches of my chair at home.

Awesome coffee shop downtown with a nice window seat bar for sitting. The coffee here was great hot and iced! The staff was very friendly as well. I recommend this coffee shop if you find yourself downtown San Diego.

Great coffee shop! Stopped on our way home. We ordered the Honey Bee latte and Left Coast latte. Both were delicious either way just the right amount of flavor. Not too sweet, just like we like our coffee! Also ordered the blueberry muffin and cranberry/banana/walnut muffin. Very tasty!

I've been getting beans delivered to me for a few months now from BRCR, so when we were in San Diego, I knew we had to stop by. This location is a short walk to the cruise ship terminal, which was very convenient. This is the cutest coffee shop. Ever since I've been making coffee at home, I haven't been to many coffee shops lately. But this spot is so cute. Really big with the cutest vibes. We arrived around 9:30 am on a Friday and it wasn't very busy. My husband ordered a Honey B Latte and I ordered an Iced Left Coast Latte. The foam on the Honey B was sooooo good. The Left Coast was yummy too.I bought a bag of beans in store to avoid paying shipping to my house. I got a free small drip with my purchase of the bag of beans, which was a nice surprise. I got the Little Italy which is really good. The shop was large with plenty of seating. People were constantly coming and going, so I know it's popular. The employees were nice and friendly. We will definitely be back when we are in San Diego again.
