Bird Rock Coffee Roasters - Liberty Station

While visiting San Diego we were not able to get our usual favorite lattes. However, we were at the Safeway at Liberty Station getting some supplies and saw Bird Rock. We decided to give it a go. Glad we did. The lattes were lovely, and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. The line was only long on Sunday, but it moved quickly.The staff was pleasant and kept things moving. Glad we happened upon this place!

Bird Rock was recommended to me by another coffee connoisseur. This is located inside liberty station so plenty of parking and super easy to find. Customer service was quick and efficient, the place was clean with a few spots to sit inside and the coffee is amazing! I went with a left coast latte which is a salted caramel latte and it was perfect! So smooth, not too sweet and great flavor. I ended up going 3x while in town and it was consistent each time. Cannot wait to stop in again when I'm back in SD!

Best Coffee in San Diego! Every location, every time I've picked up coffee it's always been consistent, always so good. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Wish they'd open a location in Eastlake.

Nice visit to this local fav coffee place. Ordered dark toast drip, 12oz = $3. Nice flavor and strength. Employees seemed a bit disengaged during this visit and lull in foot traffic. Outside seating area at liberty station was pleasant. Recommend a visit to sample.

Wanted to try a local coffee shop while visiting town and got recommended this place by a friend. There was a long line in the morning when I went on a Sunday so definitely a popular place! Worth the wait though. Ordered the breakfast burritos and an iced dark chocolate mocha with almond milk. The burritos were filling and delicious. The iced dark chocolate mocha was so creamy and good too! Would definitely go back when I visit!!

The ambiance at Bird Rock is nice. It was clean and cool. There was music playing but low enough volume to enjoy a conversation. There were several branded items available for sale that I thought were really cute, like cups, hats, and tshirts. I ordered a dirty chai, which has a really strong chai taste if you prefer the chai flavor over the coffee flavor. I LOVED that you could substitute almond or soy milk at no cost. They also had oat or coconut milk available as a milk alternative for a small charge. The service was good but not extraordinary. I think it's definitely a good place to grab a drink if you're in the Liberty Station area.

Bird rock is an awesome local coffee shop in San Diego. The liberty station area is such a cool little spot, with all the shops and small businesses, very walkable sidewalks and perfusion of greenery and clean streets. I'd love to be able to live here. The staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Foot traffic was steady as I sipped my latte and the team did a great job keeping up with the line and requests. I really enjoyed breakfast at Bird Rock this morning. I had a delicious cheese danish along with my vanilla latte and a to-go drip coffee. The latte was very smooth, perfect foam and the barista did a nice job pouring the milk to create a pattern in the crema, always makes for a nice espresso drink. The house medium drip was perfectly balanced flavor-wise, I could have gone for another cup. Awesome little spot.

A great location for a coffee shop. In the heart of Liberty Station. I went there two days in a row and have nothing to complain about. The service was good and fast. There are several things to look at in the shop that are available for purchase. They place is pretty trendy. I didn't get to try any food but they all looked tasty.

Solid Bird Rock Coffee Roasters location! I'll admit, I walked around Liberty Station several times to find it. The best advice I can give is that it is near the area of which Trader Joe's & Sephora is. I do wish that there were more inside seating. The interior is a little bit awkward, but still lovely. I loved that mini coffee table they had, it was just a touch too low and far away from the chairs. These chairs look like it hooks on to every oil and dirt. I only sat on the edge of the seat. And I would say maybe 6 chairs in total, inside. Other than that, they have your average outdoor tables and chairs.The menu screen has small font so people would probably be pretty close before ordering. It is sectioned out pretty nicely. The bar area is clean and spacious and the design is really bright and pretty. I was mesmerized by it! The workers were very sweet and amicable. They have a merch section as well. Coffee Bean bags, t shirts, and mugs. I ordered an iced 16 oz White Chocolate Truffle Latte (with whole milk). This was so smooth and creamy, I loved it a lot. If I ordered this next time, I'd ask if I can get it half sweet since it tasted pretty sweet!! In town for a soccer tournament and had some time to kill before heading to the airport on a Sunday afternoon, our party of six stopped by Liberty Station. I'd already had my coffee fill for the day, so I went with a pomegranate green iced tea and it was solid! It was tasty and refreshing and just what I needed.But then I saw how much the guys I was with enjoyed their coffees, so I ended up getting a couple of lbs of coffee to take home with me. I went with a bag of the Little Italy Blend and a bag of the Monkey Bite Espresso. When you purchase a bag, you are also offered a drip coffee or cold brew.Service was friendly and the location was great... I learned that it's one of ten locations in the San Diego area. They also have some cute merch, and some lite bites. So far, I'm a fan!
