Bird Rock is one of my personal Top coffee shops in SD! I have watched them grow over the years and expand all over SD, boy am I glad because now it is so much more convenient to get quality coffee and my favorite vegan pastries!!! Their guava passion fruit orange doughnut is one of the best I have ever had and worth the trip alone! The lemon poppy seed muffin is delicious as well!I just tried this location for the first time and they are quick efficient and offer amazing friendly service and vibes. Well staffed for quick service. Their iced horchata latte and vanilla bean hot or cold is my personal top favorite. Friends in the past have loved their house made dirty chai and spiced mocha. I highly recommend Bird Rock Coffee particularly this location! It's close to local shops, restaurants, and easy access to the beach nearby, parking is plentiful with lots on both sides of the building.

We love Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and usually go to the Bird Rock or Little Italy locations, but while visiting friends in Encinitas, we decided to check out this location. It is located in a very cute outdoor shopping mall, which has lots of parking spots and is very walkable. My husband and I each got the mocha and chai, respectively, and we were not disappointed. The service is great.Definitely recommend spending some time around the area, you can walk up and down the main drag and there are lots of fun clothing and home furnishing shops.

Bird Rock coffee has fantastic imported coffee from all around the world. They have a wonderful selection of coffee beans to take home.I ordered a cold brew coffee with coconut milk and enjoyed the full flavored cold brew.Tiana was my barista who gave me and my family excellent service. The shop and bathrooms were clean.

The cashier was super down to earth and very friendly. He asked where I was from. I said I'd be great today if I could have a coffee. I ordered a cappuccino and before it was made, I said I forgot to say triple shot. He didn't charge me more. I I got a latte. He didn't ask if I wanted hot or cold. He gave me cold and I wanted hot. It was delicious! I would go back.

2.5 stars, rounded down. When I stopped in, I'd already had a latte from Camp Coffee (which uses Bird Rock beans!), so I opted for a matcha latte while here.I don't like alternative milks, and while oat milk (yuck!) was listed on the menu, I was able to switch to real milk. The drink was perfectly frothy, but not bitter enough for me. I LOVE matcha to be grassy and earthy, and this place makes theirs too mild and sweet.Service was "just okay" and a bit rushed. I wish they would label which lids go with which cups, or put them on themselves. My girl friend touched a lid she thought would fit her cup, but it was too small. Not wanting to waste, I tried to use said lid for my smaller cup and alas, it didn't fit. The person putting drinks on the counter did not help when he saw me struggling until I asked what the black lids were for... shots he said. Um, thanks... after we touched everything.Overall, I probably wouldn't stop back in as I didn't even like the Bird Rock in the Carlsbad area (see my 1 star review there; where they accused me of trying to get a drink for free). The beans are really good though (Monkey Bite is my current favorite!) so I will continue to purchase those... from Camp. Pros:- awesome roasts - location, near other activities - nearish to the train stationCons:- if you are new and you don't know the system, they aren't the most patient to help you- weak matcha

Pretty standard coffee. We ordered a cold brew with vanilla cream/foam. It was okay! The coffee shop interior is very cute though. Nice decor and located in downtown Encinitas. Not a bad place to stop by for a little mid day pick me up as you are walking through the city.

Dirty chai latte and spiced mocha latte are delicious. I want to try the macadamia nut latte and their drip coffee. One thing I will say is the last time I came here the latte wasn't hot enough, it was just warm. Otherwise I would say 5 stars. You should definitely try this place!

Highly recommend their Mocha, it's to die for! This place gets pretty busy on weekends so expect to wait in line. They put love and care into their drinks so the wait is worth it in my opinion. It is expensive but high quality.

Wonderful gourmet coffee. We ordered light iced lattes, they were smooth and well balanced. Staff was great and friendly. Thank you for good coffee in this side of town. Ps this place is better than buzz coffee!

I got a coffee and a breakfast burrito type of thing that seemed like it was premade and thrown in the microwave. It was pretty average. The coffee was fine. There was a wait and the service was decent, and the people were relatively friendly but nothing special. Not a lot of seating and we found somewhere to sit around the corner in front of a neighboring donut shop. Just ok overall.
