Big Night Pizza

Oh yes, Big Night Pizza is appropriately named because there pizzas are big time delicious! I met up with this new pizza vendor or mobile pizzeria at Helix Brewery in La Mesa during staff happy hour through my place of employment.They use a combination of 00 Flours and the results are fantastic. The crust came out super soft with a ever so light crust on its exterior. I had the Pizza Margherita which was amazing. The pizza is made in an 800 degree 100% wood fired oven. The San Marzano Sauce was well balance with a touch of sweetness and acidity. I loved it, and the Mozzi and basil too!Great pizza and great service. Now this guy is a true Pizzaiolo!Excellent, on point! My friend and I we're happy and surprised to see this cool, mobile pizzeria called, "Big Night", stationed outside of Helix Brewing. I could see from the pizzas that we're being ordered and delivered to the other customers that this was true Neopolitan style pizza made with "dupio zero 00" flour from Napoli. They looked great.My friend and I just came from a lengthy walk at the bay, and stopped somewhere for sandwiches and then wanted to sit and have a few brews at Helix. Needless to say, we kept the sandwiches cold in the cooler in the car and ordered a white pizza, adding pepperoni.The pizza was so amazing, it tasted like it came out of a Stefano Ferrara oven @ 2200°!This is the real deal Nepolitanopizza. With every bite I was transported to the final scene in Big Night at the dinner party with Stanley Tucci and felt like I was walking down Via Chiaia Street.We will definitely be seeking this pizza again.

This review is for the mobile service in San Diego. I suggest you garnish your pizza with more cheese. I really disappointed trying your pizza for the first time.

Excellent wood fired pizza. Absolutely delicious from the crust to the sauce to the toppings. Oh that crust.... So perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time. Will be eating here again.

Big Night Pizza is my jam! First time I have ever had a pizza with lemons on it and it was to die for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! All of the ingredients are fresh and delicious, and a majority are homemade from scratch. Pizza can be heavy but this dough is light and airy, so it's easy to eat a whole one to yourself (and not even feel overstuffed). I've tried most of the pizzas and they are all delicious - you can't go wrong. The cherry on top is that Sam is an awesome guy. Great pizza, great people!
